location and staff promptness breakfast needs more food options
Great location and staff. Adam ran a great bar and really took care of us. The Courtyard was a very nice touch for morning coffee and evening drinks.
Excellent reception at desk service. Very good english skills for desk service people. I asked for extra coat hangers -got them within 15 minutes. Wake up calls were spot on time wise. WiFi is free. Good signal strength. Hotel is on a quiet dead end side street from a street with a trolley so it is quiet. Superb free breakfast comes with the room. Hotel dining room is a bit better than average. Had really great roasted duck on my wife's birthday. Hotel is built around an inner courtyard. Pleasant place to chat on lounge chairs and sip beer or iced tea. Little kid friendly. Heard lots of quiet toddler chatter. Lots of small shops within two blocks to buy beer, wine, pastries high end deli-like pastries and sandwiches. Easy 10-15 minute walk to center city Krakow. Easy to get a taxi at the hotel. Lots of cafe like small restaurants of different cuisines within four blocks. Hotel locale is not super up scale. Lenin free hostel around the corner, sex shop a block away. My wife and I both in the low 70's had no issues walking around in day time. Lots of working class people, youngsters, moms with infants, elderly on the streets in the day. We did not go out at night although our 44 year old son and friends were out bar visiting until very late and felt quite safe. I think the location is the reason why the Metropolitan is such a good value. If the location were in city central Krakow district the room costs would be much higher. It is a really great hotel value in an acceptable but not particularly upscale area..We would stay there again.
The hotel has a boutique feel and the staff were friendly and helpful and is in the Kazimierz quarter of the city which is quieter than the old town square and perfect for a quiet nights rest if you have been on the road all day.
small, pleasent, intimate, large room, flat screen TV slightly confused staff
Location was perfect. The atmosphere of Kazimierz surpassed the popular Old Town, which was still easily accessible by foot. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff most friendly The Polish breakfast was not my favorite, but that is a matter of taste, I suppose
Very nice hotel and good location. Room was very hot though and ac did not help. Breakfast was awesome! Just the temp of the room and our room had windows to the hall which was a little creepy
The location was excellent and the staff friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was plentiful and varied.
The hotel is stunning with large rooms (a suit in fact!) and the standard of decor was A1. The breakfast was first class with as much choice as anyone would need. There is a club next door which can be heard as a distant thud on a Fri and Sat night if you are not a heavy sleeper.
Location and overall feel lack of tea and coffee in the room
I booked the hotel due to a pricing error, I got the room for 44 PLZ including breakfast, the hotel was spotlessly clean and tidy and with very good facilities, the restaurant and bar were also top class, the staff were very friendly and spoke good English, the breakfast was also very good. My only complaint and its nothing to do with the hotel is that the area is very quiet with most places closing around 10pm, I think this may be a seasonal thing as the city is quieter through Autumn and Winter and there are less tourists about, however there are bars open within 5 minutes walk away.
Fantastic renovation which was clearly illustrated with lots of photos. Good situation. Good breakfast. Lovely apartment. Still very new - only open 2 months, so some finishing touches required, like information pack in room (Number for reception etc). Some bare wires coming out of the walls in the bathrooms. No gym as stated in the hotel description - they have had to close it.
The staff was very helpful. Changed or room when the one we got was too hot. Beds too soft
Staff were always extreemly helpful and always with a smile
I had a great stay. The room was clean and modern. The staff was polite and extremely helpful.
The staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel is located in the most interesting neighbourhood of Krakow, while still being close enough to the old town.
The bedding was very crisp and fresh, massive bed. Very big clean rooms and bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. Hot and Cold food. We were at the back of the hotel, very quite. Excellent position, just 10mins walk to Market Square, right in the Jewish District. Nothing
Very nice staff and good location by the Kazimierz district
New/clean/good location Shame it is on a noisy street/you can't open the windows to get some air without excessive noise
location,renewed rooms,staffs,hospitality,parking place
The staff were very very helpfull and polite .The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard.
The staff. The bed was too firm and lack inside control of the temperature.
It was in an ideal postion, the breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate The double room turned out to be a twin room, although we didn't let that worry us. But the heating was crazy! So hot I hardly slept at all during the first night and very little during the other 3 nights of our stay, even with the windows open. Also this is the only hotel I've ever stayed at that has no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - having got up parched every morning a cup of tea was all I wanted. It's a shame that these things spoiled an otherwise great hotel - I'm sure both are easily rectified
hotel staff couldnt do enough for you rooms need tea and coffee facilities
Small, very comfortable and convenient.l
Location - close to bars and resturants in Kazimierz area and short walk to Old Town.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was excellent.
Pleasant stay. Nothing flash and offers good value for money. Good location.
the hotel is well situated for sightseeing and the main square, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good with plenty of choice, rooms are clean with all facilities and plenty of hot water., electrical socket for kettle badly situated
Hotel in good position - walking distance to the majority of Krakow's tourist spots.
the location, breakast and bathroom were very nice and we really enjoyed it while staying ther.It is a nice, quiet hotel but i would say 2 stars not 3. Unfortunately the bedding and sheets have to be changed, the bed was too old with a very slim matresse, unconfortable
Very convenient, free safe box
amazing atmosphere in line with the lovely old town neighbourhood and the Kazimierz quarter, very kind and helpful staff, walking distance to all points of interest in Krakow (also less than 5 min to public transport stops if you don't want to walk)
Free bottles of water. Old world charm. Excellent breakfast. Air con. No complaints at all. Have already recommended it to a friend who intends to visit. Not fussed on orange bedspreads. Bit dated. But thats being very picky. Thet were spotlessly clean.
good central location with very helpful staff. Hotel not expensive at all for the facilities none
Very good location in the centre of Kazimiercz, about 15 minutes from Wawel and city center. Lots of sites of interests in the neighborhood, very good cafés and restaurants, however the street was quite restful, enough to sleep with an open window without major disturbance. The furniture is quite simple but practical, the rooms are very clean and the bathroom is excellent. The breakfast is very correct.
Excellent situation in the middle of Kazimierz. The hotel was clean and new and the staff very helpful.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel was convenient and in a lively & interesting area, and the hotel room had everything I needed. Also, the staff answered my emails exceptionally quickly and very clearly.
Fantastic Hotel. Friendly staff. Free cable internet. Clean and cosy rooms. Located in a zone with restaurants and bars, but very quiet. Has very easy access to the old town in Krakow. Nice breakfast. Definitly to be recomended in a price-quality relation. Nothing relevant.
Excellent location in Kazimierz and many excellent restaurants within 200 yds. Novel and well executed decor. Quiet rooms in rear overlook Jewish Cemetery.
Excellent location, the hotel is modern, simple and clean, very friendly staff and good value for money poor air-conditioning
The location is fantastic. Easy to find and the avaibility of parking spaces is a bonus in this central location. Excellent breakfast.
Very good location. Very good breakfast. Very friendly staff in the reception. We have booked double room, but since we were with 2 years old boy we got bigger room. Definitely I would choose the same hotel if I would be in Krakow.
Beautiful Rooms Reception staff could be quite rude at times
Excellent location, quiet & nice surrounding and great style N.A.
Excellent location. Enjoyable stay. With a couple of exceptions the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All spoke and understood English language.
located in a quiet neighbourhood, free public parking in front of the hotel Hotel Ester is worth 3 stars, not 4. Old-fashioned hotel. Poor breakfast: self-service coffee & tea facilities don't work properly, staff is neglecting guests, if you get up late, a lot of items aren't available anymore at the buffet
The room I booked was for 3 adults and there were 3 full size single beds with plenty of extra space also in the room. It was a perfect location in the Jewish Quarter within walking distance of the centre of Krakow. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. The hotel was very clean as I said good size rooms, modern bathroom, safe, fridge with water.Breakfast was not much choice but it was enough for me. I would definatly stay at The Ester again and would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends
Quiet position yet very close to a selection of restaurants and within walking distance (or an easy tram ride) of the castle, central square, railway station etc.
Location and great decoration of the rooms A little too pricey.
quite; small; nice location; good looking; good internet connection from the room; nice and attentios people more soap and a champoo would be desirable in the bathroom;
very central, clean
Excellent location, cleaness Some details which are not acceptable in 4 stars hotel: poor breakfast, bad coffee, no hot milk on the coffee table, no mini-bar in the room. It's rather 3 stars, not 4 stars hotel
i have got the price in euro, but in the hotel i had to pay in zloty. Finally it was more than the price I have booked.
Price at 199 PLN nothing
Reasonable hotel in a good location, close to Kazmierz district with plenty of good restaurants and bars. Excellent shower. Friendly staff. Rooms rather small for more than one night. Price was not competitive, and I suspect it did not offer good value for money.
good location having to use locked staircase to access room
Good location, good breakfast, nice rooms Rooms located from the street quite noisy, guarded parking only remote from the hotel
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great buffet breakfast and good value for money.
The central location Some noice from the street
good location adjacent to the jewish district and an easy walk to the old town square no air conditioning or safety deposit box and the heating was not controllable by the guests
clean room verry bad coffee on breakfast
The breakfast was lovely
breakfast clean room
The location, the breakfast, and the attitude of the staff.
A lovely clean and friendly hotel perfectly situated on a quiet street near the main square. Surrounded by excellent bars and restaurants.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff
It's central position for seeing the various parts of Krakow There was no bath, only a shower
The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went out of their way to attend to your needs as much as possible, I would certainly recommend them, and stay at the Hotel again.
Helpful and courteous staff with good command of English. Modern bathroom, large room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast buffet. Very close to a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars - and public transport. Smell of cigarette smoke from other rooms.
good room, friendly, location to Market Square
We did not stay at the hotel regent because as we arrived they said the hotel plumbing was not working and so there were no rooms available and we were moved to Galycia for one night and then the rest of the stay was in hotel Rezydent. My comments are below The hotel plumbing was very noisy, every time you ran any water the plumbing made very load noises. The walls were so thin that you could hear a conversation in the room next door.
I like the hotel's location close to Kazimierz as well as the Rynek. I also like the hotel as it is a friendly hotel with excellent staff and it is also not too big. The staff were very kind and helpful. I'd have like to have had a tea/coffee making facility in the bedroom.
Good location, kind staff. The milk products for breakfast were unfortunately not cold and the first day the coffee was not warm
rather uncomfortable mattresses; streetside rooms can be noisy
Hotel Eden was a fabulous experience. The hotel was full of character and charm, with such a feeling of history. Clean, lovely breakfast downstairs, helpful staff, and good location in Kazimierz which is very interesting. I didn't mind the walk in to the city centre and did it sometimes several times a day- not far. I'd certainly stay again- hope to! No problems at all
The location is absolutely brilliant for quiet strolls and meals in the nearby squares. The staff are really helpful and dealt with every query or request both helpfully & efficiently. The soundproofing between floors - if you are unlucky in getting noisy neighbours upstairs or rowdy teenagers during school visit season it can be disturbing. However we only experienced this on 1 night - the remainder was very peaceful
location noise level from outside. Night temperatures meant window had to be open (no A/C) and we were directly above the hotel main entrance.
The entire hotel decor and rooms were beyond description with works of art throughout the hotel. Location was perfect, near all major tourist attractions.
It was in the jewish quarter, staff were lovely and helpful The breakfast was very poor, if you like cheese and smoked salmon if was fine, but I dont like either
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good The restaurant and bar was closed. The mini bar had been emptied and not in use. All of these things were said to be included during our stay. Breakfast was okay but all cheese, would have liked some meats.
the staff was very kind and helpful and the hotel itself is well kept and tidy nothing
The location of the hotel is excellent .Hotel Eden is in the heart of the old jewish district.
It was everything we could have expected and more. No
Nice rooms, nice and helpful staff. Placed in a pleasant district in Krakow.
The staff were all exceptionally helpful and gave us advice about sights in the cities and recommendations for restaurants. The location was perfect for both getting to the old town on foot and exploring the Jewish Quarter. The free internet was an added bonus. Nice to have Spa facilities available. You wouldn't enjoy breakfast if you don't like cheese.
nice friendly staff, very helpful, felt safe, good breakfast and great capaccino coffee a bit noisy in front rooms. I stayed in back area.. the café attached to B&B is smokey. Everyone seems to smoke in Krakow!
Comfort of the hotel
The hotel is well located to explore the many interesting attractions of the city of krakow.
Location, clean and confortablle room, friendly and helpful staff. had a room at the first floor and there was some streetnoise in the evening and sometimes smoke.
We were on a long weekend break and could not fault anything about B&B Kolory. Ideal location and very clean hotel.Would definitely use it again.Just a shame about the weather, but did not spoil a nice weekend.
good position in old town bit noisy from bars roundabout
I suggest to whom wish spend any days in Krakow above all for cleaning of the room and location of the hotel in the center of Kazimierz near to the pubblic transport. The staff is polite and friendly. Located in the principal square of Kamizierz district, the position of the room could not rest you at the first morning due to the noise of the market and its activities.
Open less than a year, this is an excellent B&B overlooking a quiet square with a daily market, in a good central location for tourist Krakow. Spotless, comfy bedroom and en-suite bathroom, decorated with folk-art. Great breakfast in busy, characterful adjoining bar (eg: tea/coffee; fruit juice, bread & rolls & apple-cake, with plate of butter, 3 cheeses, jam, ham, sliced tomatoes, cucumber, peppers - enough to make picnic lunch!) Helpful, friendly staff. Excellent value.
Comfort like having a very clean and friendly short stay home to be at as I was traveling; very kind staff; excellent location for seeing the city; in the heart of the culture.
B&B Kolory represents excellent value for money. The room was clean, quiet (it faced the central courtyard) and homey, and the location in Kazimierz was ideal for me. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful and knowledgeable. I can't think of anything that I did not like about the hotel.
Great location, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast included each morning, rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel is well maintained and our room appeared recently renovated. The hot water was very sporadic; it was only present if someone else happened not to be running a faucet at the same time.
The room was a bit small, but very clean with comfortable beds and a modern, clean bathroom. The staff was very kind and friendly and did all they could to make our stay pleasant. (They even provided breakfastboxes we could take with us, because we had to leave very very early)The location is ideal too: a 20 minute walk to the old town city centre, but in a trendy neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and bars. (So you don't have to walk a long way back after dinner or drinks) The hotel itself is in a quiet street, so there's hardly any noise. The main trainstation is a 30 minute walk, but there's a smaller trainstation about 10 min away.
I like the cheerful and helpful staff. the place of the hotel is fine. it is quite near to old square market. I like the location and price the room that we used was small for 2 people
Quiet yet central location Breakfast became monotonous - no changes made
quiet street easy access to the city no t making facilities in the room
staff were very helpful and room was very clean no lift
The breakfast was rich and very tasey the bed was not comfortable
Good size, very nicely furnished, excellent value
With the exception of a small shower the room was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location for lively part of Krakow. Shower - small cubicle, very sensitive temperature controls and ran out of hot water.
The location was great. The staff was helpful and agreeable. There are two good restaurants on the premises and discounts from the hotel are available. The room was very clean. The room over the street was noisy.
The Hotel Karmel is well situated for either a walk or a tram ride into the old town. I always walked. It has a lovely Italian restaurant but there are many others in the same street. It is just around the corner from the synagogues. Nice and quiet. Helpful staff. An air of comfort and elegance. Lovely breakfast in the cellar. I have a bad back and hurt it carrying my bag up two flights of stairs (one to the reception, which is on the first floor and then on to the next floor where my room was situated. I was never given or offered any assistance.) A lift would have been very much appreciated.
