The bed was exquisite and especially the linen, just like I have at home The price
Location Door key card did not work had to go down twice to get it rescand. Over charged my card $80 and I had to call to get it canceled five days later.
We had a corner room with a beautiful view of the Memphis bridge. The bed was comfy and the staff was great. Access to the club on the 19th floor was nice with delectable food served all day. We will definitely stay here again. It could have quieter in our room but very nice anyway.
Hotel was in a nice area ,walking distance to a nice restaurant Trolley every 15 minutes breakfast housekeeping forgot to clean 1day for the price it should be microwave in room
The location for a cook convention center graduation was perfect. There was ample room in the lobby for family and friends to meet and talk. The staff was very helpful and the area was safe. Parking can expensive over a weekend stay. There is ample street parking adjacent to the hotel, but it also puts car at risk of theft. This location also requires you to drive to almost all attractions in the city not in the cook convention center.
It was a very pretty hotel in the lobby, pool, and gym area. The staff was not friendly, the bathrooms were dirty, and the comforter was stained. When I talked to the staff about it they were very rude.
Location was excellent. Connects to the convention center. Trolley stop is just outside the doors. No electric vehicle hookups. Valet is $26/night but no setup for EV charging. Because of this would not have stayed there if was not part of a group booking.
Staff was wonderful Parking- You either agree to pay roughly $28a day to valet or are forced to park in a public shady pay per day lot across the street.
Location was excellent along with the fitness center. Very much enjoyed it.
Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Only 2 elevators worked; felt the price was a bit much for what was offered, considering the hotel charges extra for breakfast and for parking.
There's a $26/night valet fee for parking. Was not aware of this until you already arrive at the hotel and there's no other parking available.
The bed was nice and fluffy, clean. Nice room, decent gym. There was a trolley stop right outside the hotel. We didn't partake but it was a good option. VIP lounge nice but not always stocked. Liked that it was on the 19th floor. Wasn't aware that the parking was valet only until we got there. $26 per night when there is a parking lot across the street for $12 per night. If you park valet you have to call in advance every time you need your car.
The hotel was very clean and in an excellent location. My husband and I went to Beale Street and had a lot of fun. The people at the Peabody hotel in Memphis were extremely nice. We will definately come again. I enjoyed the hearing the history of the ducks and loved seeing them walk down the red carpet. I give y'all excellent ratings. Thanks for a wonderful stay! I had nothing bad to comment on the Peabody Hotel in Memphis.
Great location. I remember going to the Peabody with my grandparents when I was a child and it's a classic. Loved motion sensor lights below the bedside tables to help direct me at night. Nice room, in general. I attempted to check in at 3:15. First, there was no record of my stay for that night . . . they had me booked for Sunday instead of Saturday. This may not be the hotel's fault. The staff was nice and they fixed it, but then I had to wait THREE hours to get in my room. I had somewhere to be, so this involved leaving my luggage on a cart in the hotel and hoping for the best. I was pretty miffed. I complained when I was in the lobby bar getting a drink, though, and the nice server (manager?) took care of my bar tab, so that was nice. Apparently it was an overbooked weekend. It was definitely chaotic.
Our room was on the 10th floor, on the Mississippi River side of the hotel, so we have an absolutely FABULOUS view of the sunset on the river. It was phenomenal. We were celebrating my mother's 80th birthday. Everything at the hotel and all the employees with whom we came in contact at the hotel were wonderful. It was a perfect weekend.
We were there during the holiday season & the lobby was so beautifully decorated with a huge Christmas tree, gingerbread village, & holiday singers. The room was very quiet, clean, comfortable. The bathroom however is TINY. You literally have to straddle the toilet to use the makeup mirror. The staff was super friendly. The sit down restaurant off the lobby was absolutely delicious & very reasonably priced. My only disappointment was that I had made my reservations months ago & others in our party who had made reservations directly with the hotel last minute, got a holiday deal which was much cheaper & included breakfast.
Clean, great location and really enjoyed the personality of the staff and the property. One of a kind.
Every single staff member was informed, diligent, kind and respectful. They all went out of their way to make out stay amazing! Loved everything!!
I did not like the ( service fee ) I was charged . I know that where ever we go, I will ask about this hidden fee & if they have this fee I will not tip any of the help due to the fact I'm already paying it with the xtra fee their employer charged me
The staff at check in were wonderful. I was told during check in that breakfast was included in the rate and when I checked out I was charged. When questioning the charge the young lad behind the counter started arguing with me and blaming the charge on using a third party and was condescending.
Very central and convenient location - many historical sites, restaurants and bars walkable from the hotel Awful service all around - room service, cleaning staff, lobby bar, etc. All provided VERY slow service (i.e., did not turn over our room until almost 8pm at night, never provided clean towels despite calling twice, room service took almost 2 hours despite being told it would be less than an hour). Repeatedly told incorrect or wrong information (i.e., asked about where to buy a tshirt that we saw in a case in the lobby and was told the store doesn't exist, even though it's around the corner from the hotel, was told check out was 11am but it's 12pm)
Always love the service and romantic atmosphere with piano playing in the lobby.
Traditional rooms and bathrooms are very small for the price paid...
Nothing We booked our stay 8 months ago when we arrived at 11 pm we called to tell them we would be late we even payed a Peabody hotel town car to pick us up at a train we were told they did not have our room we had all are needed info from our booking 3 people checked in beside us while we waited 20 minutes to talk to manager we were called to back room and treated like we did something wrong one person in lobby even said wonder what they did manager was rude and over bearing tried to tell us we were rude because we did not want to go to another hotel but we had to it was 11 pm we found out from desk clerk at this hotel that the Peabody has a common habit of over booking and sending us away with 8 month ahead booking the people who got rooms at same time we checked in were part of a group shame on you Peabody for your treatment of guest! What makes it worse is you do it all the time
I loved the proximity to Beale Street and how accommodating the staff were. Everything was luxurious and wonderful. I have no complaints.
The beds are so comfortable. Pay extra for.parking.
the rooms were clean and comfy We paid for a room with a King size bed for my husband and I and were given a room with 2 full size beds. We were not happy at all. This was our first time to book through Kayak and we were not happy when the lady at the front desk informed us that when we book through a 3rd party, that the room we book was considered a "suggestion"
The accomodations were excellent, the location was great and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly
The staff were very friendly and helpful Mattress was dippy and lumpy
It's a shame. The hotel is really nice, but the lightbulbs they've chosen to put in the rooms make them feel like a morgue. The CFLs put out this nasty blue light that is unsettling. Bad lighting choice! My other gripe was the fact that I got what's called a luxurious tub included with my room. Turns out it's just a run-of-the-mill tub you find in any cheap hotel. . .
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Best value for the money in the area. Parking garage
Staff was extremely friendly, view was fantastic! Didn't do my research was expecting a pool and hot tub
Stayed in the presidential suite due to a complimentary upgrade. Very romantic settings with dimming lights, round bed, music speakers. Great honor/wet bar with every refreshment you need. We loved it!!
The room was very spacious and comfortable there was no parking for the hotel, and when we checked in there was nobody at the front desk a bell boy had to go find someone for us
The Madison is beautiful. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bar has excellent food and drinks. The bed was quite uncomfortable.
Great location, central to city for food and entertainment within walking distance. Housekeeping staff didn't keep up to date with replacing amenities. Did not replace towels one day.
I guess the headline says it. The service was exceptionally cordial, which is more a statement on the times we live in, where a friendly greeting is no longer guaranteed in the service industry. The room was clean and spacious. The location was good, too. Only there one night, so can't say more.
Big Cypress Lodge was our favorite hotel ever! Rooms and Bathrooms were big and beautiful! Balcony overlooking the Bass Pro Shop was amazing! Very warm and welcoming. We will be back for sure! We had dinner at Fishbowl, the food was very good, and our waitress was nice but it seemed understaffed. She was the only waitress in the entire seating area where we were, we felt bad for her.
The lodge was beautiful and the amenities top notch. The staff charged us a parking fee (per day) for both rooms when we only had ONE VEHICLE. When we tried to explain this to the staff, her reply was that she couldn't do anything because the room was booked thru hotel.com. This to me was unacceptable. A rip off.
The location was great - within walking distance of many things to do in Memphis. The concierge at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. Shower pressure was good, and beds were comfy. Not a lot of tv channels (not that you should be watching tv on a vacation!), and it smelled a little weird (like all hotels).
Proximity to downtown area No hair dryer in room
location it was like spring break with drunk college kids yelling and screaming and fighting. not relaxing.
Only good thing was the location Door dead bolt handle missing, also door didn't seal when closed. Toilet handle was broken, bathroom light fixture was burned out, mildew on the shower curtain, lamp missing a light bulb, dirt in the corners of bath room and on the door. The pool water was green.
Close to Beale Street. 7 minute walk. Not outrageously over priced. I would stay again. Very small double bed room. Carpet was stained in several places. Bathroom needed a deep cleaning.
I expected to be disappointed. But I was pleasantly surprised and this was a clean convenient hotel at an affordable price. I will come back Not many amenities
Nothing. Lights in bathroom did not work. Requested them to fix or another room. They refused. Room smelt moldy and smoke. Carpets were dirty with animal hair. Asked for refund. They couldn't do anything about it since I booked thru your office. Contacted your office and received NO service from operator. Still waiting for some type of response. NOTHING. Ended up booking another room on my own at different hotel since I could not get any help from your office. This will be the last time I use your service and will be proud to inform my family and friends.
My Parents and I stayed here for one week and we absolutely loved it!!...There is nothing negative in my opinion, fantastic location beautiful rooms/view and Hotel staff always greeted you with a smile.I Would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Hi to Roshanda and Meaghan ,two of the staff working at Reception.
We were very happy with our room and enjoyed out stay. The fact that we were so close to Beale St was a plus.
The location was great, right next to Beale street. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Rooms were clean. no
Room was great, right near the Baseball and Basketball stadiums, many attractions literally 2 mins away, like Beale St. Complimentry breakfast was even pretty good. Bit noisy because its so close to Beale St, but thats what you get for staying in your hotel instead of being at Beale St enjoying yourself!
Nice hotel with a friendly staff, perfect located for every tourist
Very Clean, great location, free internet access & complimentary breakfast were the highlights. It's wasn't so much the hotel's fault but the taxes were rediculous which I assume would be the same in all hotels in the area. Slugged 2 sets of taxes which amounted to over $25 a night.
I enjoyed the location; right next to Beale Street The breakfast was aweful. Powdered eggs. If you enjoy cereal and milk or toast or waffles you are fine.
Great location, good facilities & professional, helpful staff. Room was good sized and bed was comfy. Large bathroom was a definite plus. The breakfast selection could be a little better. Missed cold cuts. The hotel staff didn't notice my reservation request for a room in upper floor.
Staff, room, and location are all great!
The room was very nice. Best for couples. The restaurants were great. Wonderful breakfast include. Great location. Not for families. Rooms are single Queen and King.
Awesome service beautiful rooms and views and in my favorite neighborhood in memphis! We stayed 2 nights here after our wedding before headed to cancun for our honeymoon! Lovely time and They really took care of us. Great atmosphere as well. definitely a high recommendation from me and my new wife!
The hotel is really quite. This hotel is in walking distance from the downtown attractions. It also has the street car and bus line right in front of it. Which is a plus if you don't want to walk. Overall the experience is was good. There is no pool, but the two hotels next doors has a pool. I don't know if this hotel has worked out something with those two hotels so that the guest from theor hotel can use the pools or not, but when I asked about the pool the front desk clerk said we don't have one but the hotels next door do. I didn't bother to check to see if I could use their pool. The parking at this hotel can be horrible at times because the lot appears to be used by all three hotels. Parking is $12 a night regardless if you do self park or valet parking. I recommend doing the self park because during my stay I notice that most of the valet parking people from either hotels were young people. Most of the time they were always running to get someone car when the parking lot was in walking distance. A few times I did see them parking someone car it took them a while to park it correctly in the spot. Maybe it's just me but I have issues with someone rushing to get my car or having trouble parking it. So that is why I recommend doing the self park.
First opened my room door and was slammed with a disgusting BO smell that lingered in the room the whole time. Told the valet to not take my truck, just running up to room to grab something real quick. Come back down and my truck is gone, with the valet guy saying he didn't take it and didn't know where it was. Then said he didn't have the keys either. You've got to be kidding me!! He finally got ahold of one of his coworkers, who had went ahead and parked it anyway. Then had to wait longer for them to go back and get it.
Breakfast was great! Breakfast staff was friendly. Rooms were very spacious! Gym was nice & machines had TVs for use. Room floor was rather gross with set-in stains. TV was standard-def... why would I order PPV? Front desk staff left something to be desired. Cleaners would change towels after requesting they not be changed (trying to stay green)
Easy to get around. Food was good. Close to other restaurants No safe, or refrigerator
I did not stay in this hotel because when I called the Doubletree on Oct 14, I was told I did not have a reservation and I never had one. I can only assume that the entire process was some sort of SCAM and i will NEVER use your service again. I have filed a complaint with American Express and I will make certain ALL of my friends know about this SCAM.
Great location. Nice hotel. Small double beds.
Friendly staff, accommodating, great customer service!! Cleanliness of rooms needs improvement, and bathrooms need a bit remodeling. Bathtub tile was dirty and old, fixtures were old, paint on door was peeling off.
The location, the room was clean. The room was humid, also bathroom ceiling was peeling and had slight water damage. Items in room (lamps, etc), seemed to be placed there and didn't really have a function (lamp missing bulb, only obe night stand, etc). Also the decor and color choices made the room feel dated and unwelcoming.
The price was reasonable, overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. There is a Friday's restaurant inside which makes for a nice option. The pool is small but clean and adequate. The front desk people were very helpful. The bathtub drain was clogged and slow to drain so one ended standing in quite a bit of sudsy water when showering. I did let them know at checkout; hopefully they fixed it for the next guests.
Mattress and linen was amazing! Best night's sleep I've had in a while! Getting in to valet park was a little crowded and had to wait but well worth the wait!
Staff was friendly and proximity to Beale was great Room was small. Every movement on the bed sounded like you were jumping on it.
There was a bed to sleep in. Room was kinda shabby to be on a Hilton Honors floor. Had to push very hard to get the bathroom door to latch. You could see through the thinly brushed coat of paint to see the previous color. Had to pay $25 a day for valet parking, I was told there was easy access on premises to my vehicle when I called to check and when we got there the parking was a block away, so going to the car to unload it after it being parked was not possible. I had to pay for valet but I had to go pick up my own car cause the valet there to retrieve your car couldn't drive a stick-shift, did I mention I had to PAY $25 A DAY WHEN I WAS DOING HALF OF SOMEONES JOB THAT I AM PAYING FOR THEM TO DO. Coffee was $10 a pot, and was for crap coffee. Breakfast offered was expensive but cheap food was used and tasted like government rations. I will never stay at a Hilton Hotel again unless its the only option.
The central location was nice, although it had its downsides. The staff was friendly. The location near Beal Street and across from Autozone Park meant that there was hardly a quiet moment during the night. The noisy drunk folks were not only outside making noise in the streets, but also inside the hotel. I asked for earplugs around 1am, but the hotel provided me with cheap headphones instead. If you stay here and would like to sleep, I'd recommend asking for a room away from the street.
The closet space in the room could be reconstructed to be more useful to the room.
I was on the 10th floor by the elevators and heard compressor noises all night long - horrible.
Amazing downtown location and excellent customer service. Truly kind and warm staff, clean and crisp room, and refreshing kid-friendly pool. Will absolutely stay here again.
Okay location to downtown, a good alternative to other hotels when they are booked up. Being right next to the expressway, we asked for a quiet room but it was way too loud even though we were given ear plugs.
We were in Memphis for the Beale Street Music Fest. We started in an AirBnB, which was not as depicted in the profile so it wouldn't work. We found a room at the Crowne Plaza, and the very nice front desk staff made certain to get a room cleaned early just so we could check in early. They went above and beyond for us! Wish the room had more outlets. Charging multiple phones at once meant unplugging lamps.
Friendly staff and great location. At times the front desk seemed under staffed, the gift shop selection is horrible, and we had a couple of issues parking in the lot.
Location was great. Easy walk to Beale Street. Having shuttle available was a great option as I have heard Memphis can be dangerous at night. Staff was very friendly. Room was great for price. We were able to park on street for free until 8am. that was nice. Pool was outside and one had to go outside of hotel to access? fitness center looked nice and was included in price of room.
Free bday drinks. Free shuttle to Beale Street. Clean and comfy bed. Friendly front desk staff. Makeup mirror fell off the wall. Bar service was slow. Pool
We had a most enjoyable stay but were most impressed by the helpfulness of the front desk staff who dealt with their dutires with the right balance of effieciency, patience and humour
Parking would not work every time
The hotel is conveniently located. The staff was friendly. Noisy A/C unit The shower was broken. We had only scalding water during our stay. We called the front desk to have maintenance check everything out, but it didn't happen before we left. Washing our hair in that room would have been life altering. Updates don't mask the property's age.
Staff were friendly. The coffee shop was mediocre. The furnishings were worn. The food poorly reheated in a microwave. We cleaned the mat in the tub before we would let the kids in it. Carloads of single local women seemed to be arriving about the time it got night. Parking in the lot was extra, that was not mentioned in the price quoted to us.
Great location for price. Easy walk to Beale St or close to bus route if you do not feel like walking. Lots of choice for eating/restaurants within walking distance. Room had fridge & microwave. Breakfast the usual... waffles, bagels, eggs, bacon, pastries, cereal, fruit etc ... no complaints from our family! Nothing to complain about. Good value
The lady on the late late shift at the front was awesome! Paying extra for parking and lack of comps. Ie. Coffee... breakfast to made a few..
Location, Amenities, Food and Drinks were very expensive. 2 glasses of the least expensive wine $36. I could have a nice bottle for that. Will plan ahead and get my own next time.
Near to all attractions. Walkable to beal street. Very Clean and safe area. Hotel spotless clean. Very nice clerks on front desk. Hospitality gathering in the evening with free wine, beer and soft drinks and a food variety (very tasty). Spacious rooms with fully equiped kitchen. Would recommend this hotel to everybody
Good value. Close to where we needed to be. Very courteous staff. Nice breakfast layout.
Proximity to Beale Street. Stairwell dirty, nasty; elevators in disrepair.
They charge 10 dollars a day for parking on a garage that is not even secure and the floor was wet when we got there and soaked when we left because the air condition leaked
No hot water in the shower the first night.
Nothing. Terrible hotel. Felt unsafe. Spend the extra money and stay at the doubletree down the street Everything. Gross rooms. Terrible staff. Awful breakfast
Nice employees Walking up and down 8 floors of stairs where homeless people live
Location from Beale street I've stayed there a couple of time and never had a room with a working air conditioner
It is a 10 story Bldg & the elevator did not work nor was it being repaired. The pipes in the floor froze & the tub would not drain. I could not stay the second night due to not being able to take a shower & the hotel so far has refused to refund the parking or my room for the night I didn't stay. Very disappointed!!
Location right downtown, close walking distance to lot of places. Only had one elevator, so wait time was forever and if it got there then it was prob full. So usually used stairs going down (8th floor). Everything seemed clean in room, cigarette burns in comforter of our nonsmoking room, the 8th floor had a smoking smell, the hotel is ten years past needing to be renovated, just it is what it is... I'd rather spend more and have a nicer hotel..
location -most of front desk staff was unfriendly -building in poor condition -elevators were in terrible condition and sometimes did not work properly -parking costs extra -staircase and elevator bank doors were dangerous, heavy, hard to open, and had rusted holes in them that cut skin -lots of people on guest floors and around lobby at all times of the night who clearly were not paying guests
If you're looking for a place to sleep and shower this is the place. The beds were comfy and the water was hot. The facilities are very dated. Continental breakfast was subpar.
Nothing Price was way too much for what it provided. The whole room felt dirty. I wish invtought a sleeping bag. The front desk attendant when I arrived could care less about customer service. The location was a weird one with plenty of gas stations and liquor stores that had riff raft everywhere. I did not feel safe at this motel. Stay away from this over priced hole.
Location is the only thing going for this place. Shower didn't work, hairdryer fried and almost shocked me. Mold on the ceiling. Horrific smell. Windows open when we got there and we couldn't close one. There are no screens in the window to keep bugs out. Floor slopes. Sketchy elevators. They won't stop on floor 5. I stayed in better place in Thailand for $3 a night. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. I don't think a renovation could help it.
