The hotel itself is nice. It's comfortable, clean. Seems best for business or couples. The indoor pool was fun with a city view. We had a few problems with our room upon arrival. Online we had booked a room with a sofa bed, and the microwave/fridge. The room they gave us had no sofa bed for our kids, so they switched us to a room with no fridge/microwave. The staff weren't very friendly. When asking questions about breakfast, facilities, getting extra blankets and pillows etc. they were rude and treated us as if we were being incovenient with all these "silly" questions. The pillows were miserable! Down and feather pillows provide no support so it made sleeping on a nice mattress difficult.
Great location and the view from my window was amazing. Very friendly staff. Clean comfortable bed. For the price the room was small, No spa, No coffee in the room. Not a hot tub, jacuzzi to be found. Room was hot. I was a very sad girl.
The rooms were all updated beautifully with modern bathrooms and very comfortable bedding. Would definitely stay again !!
Convenient to all the downtown sights. Back patio is right on Gallivan Center plaza. Great views of the mountains. Cheerful service from everyone, from valet to housekeeping to front desk. Dinner at on-site restaurant was just okay.
the staff was great , the bed comfortable , room was nice parking was difficult , room service was a little slow
- Floors were so dirty, they were never swept of cleaned. I wish I brought my own house slippers. It was disgusting! - Upon arrival, the coffee maker still had coffee in it. Housekeeping must have missed that detail...I requested another twice b/c they forgot to bring it the first time. The second time, the coffee maker arrived by way of an irate woman who made it seem like an inconvenience that she had to bring it to my room. On top of this, the one she brought was still DIRTY. I gave up and decided to buy my coffee off-property and that was an inconvenience to me. - Pillows were dirty and sheets felt unclean. To confirm my suspicion there were a pile of pillows at the hall by the elevators, they were all unbagged and just left there for everyone to see. Pretty gross to think that the pillows we put our heads on are just thrown on the floor only to be re-covered by linens when they had been touching dirty floors all day.
Liked the hard floors in the room. Over all it was pretty terrible. There was no heads up about the construction and the fact that there was no room service. The lounge that actually provides food was way to expensive for the quality. We also asked guest services to bring up new shampoo, conditioner, body wash 3 times and no one came. Said breakfast was a part of the deal and got there and had to pay for breakfast. We thought by paying a little extra for the room we would have a better time and we sure did not. Will not be returning there.
close to downtown and universities The staff were discussing me negatively in front of other customers after i needed help with something that they felt was unnecessary.
The location was great. The hotel could have been cleaner. My TV wasnt wourkingbfor two out of the four days I was there.
shuttle service to my office the current construction
Modern Feel Comfortable Bed Pool, Hot Tub, and Exercise Room Refrigerator and Microwave Slow-Check-in Untrained Staff Not Customer-Service Oriented at all Under Construction Hallway loud the entire night *Had a job interview and wanted to extend my checkout from 12 to 1 pm, this was denied and they wouldn't even accommodate holding my bags for pick-up when the interview ended at 12:30. I will never stay at this hotel again, it reminds me of a 2 star hotel with a modern feel. I would probably hire legitimate professionals in business attire to manage the front-end and not a bunch of hipster teenagers with no manners or customer service experience.*
Neat looking place, very different than typical hotels. More "hipster". Clean, friendly. Very comfortable beds. The fridge and microwave were not working.
Didn't like much of anything. Decent bacon. Giant TV. Construction. Very very Slow wifi. Missing furniture from my renovated room. Rude staff at the desk (especially the ladies in the evenings). Disgusting coffee. Also very expensive for what it is. Very removed from downtown.
Bed was comfortable. Nothing special.
Friendly night staff Everything was awful. Everything was closed early. The room awash nothing like the pictures. Worst money spent ever. Super disappointed.
they did finally move us to a room with working a/c beds were great No Working ice machine, the ones that did work on a different floor and where out of ice. The a/c did not work. ceiling tiles falling down in hallway pool closed
Dirty Windows, construction on our floor
I struggle to find anything positive after my night there Room a very poor standard - very unlike the photo graphs - lots of hidden extra costs so at the end of the day I felt very 'ripped off' - i went for what I thought was a reasonably priced hotel and given what I had to pay for extras I paid way more :(
This hotel is worse than bad. The dirtiest, noisier the, most uncomfortable hotel i have ever been to. You'don't be better off sleeping under a bridge than this place!
Price was very cheap for the location, and now I know why! We could hear other guest's doors being opened and closed all night long. Also people talking in the hallway were perfectly audible inside our room. The bathroom shower finish was peeling and dingy. Towels came with stains. Check-in took a long time.
There was throw up on the floor and cigarette burns on the comforters.
That's a good place I like it
Stay away from this place specially if you travel with family. There were people in the back parking lot drinking beer and smoking marijuana, I told the lady at the front desk about it but didn't do anything. Could hear the people in the next room doing their "business ". Breakfast was terrible. I can't think of anything good about this place, definitely a big mistake staying there
Was a dirty little room that should of cost 30 dollars
There was nothing good about my stay There was nothing good about this hotel and I would never recommend it to anyone. There were homeless people sitting in the parking lot the whole duration of my stay, the showers were filthy with dirt, the bedding was old and dated unlike pictured on several websites. I also noticed when first arriving we had no shampoo or towels and when I went to the front to ask for some they acted as if I were lying about the items not being in the room. The whole experience was a joke and I would never stay at a Rodeway Inn again.
It was easy to find and the employees were courteous. It didn't feel very clean there. I found someone else's hair in the shoer and the furniture had seen much better days.
Room smelled like smoke and heavy cleaning products. It looked like there was a knife fight in the bathroom. I went for a large conference in SLC and they raised the room rate up over 400% which made the stay just painful considering how terrible it was. At $40 a night then fine, I know what I'm getting, but at the inflated price point they're just robbing me. Also, you could literally get robbed at the Rodeway in too, so be careful.
This hotel is a dump. Dirty, in a not-so-great neighborhood, old beat-up furniture, etc. I can't believe Rodeway still allows this place to use its name.
The desk staff was pleasant. The photos of the hotel does not accurately describe the facility. The place was run down and old. Lots of noise and heavy traffic in/out of the guests on both sides of me. I'm sure that illegal acticity of some type was taking place. While this facility certainly doesn't promote it as an option, I suspect that you could rent a room by the hour if requested. The room felt dirty and didn't appear to be all that clean. I didn't even feel comfortable sleeping under the sheet and bed spread so I actually slept with my clothes on as well as my coat and hood. My flight was delayed so I didn't arrive to the facility until after midnight and I was exhausted otherwise I certainly would've found more appropriate accommodations.
It had a bed. Slow WiFi, lame breakfast, lazy staff.
Nothing I tried to change my reservation and they did not allow the change. I am out over $100 and SOL for my stay in SLC.
Not kept ip...in need of repairs everywhere. Very loud music playong...we thought we were in Mexico.
I liked that a refrigerator and microwave were in the rooom. Also liked that breakfast was offered. My 11-year old son said the room smelled like a urinal. :( I needed to pull out the febreze and sprays that I could find just to be comfortable. Breakfast was offered, but selection was very limited.
Great wi-fi connection; in fact, I was able to stream videos with it. The room was clean. The bed didn't gross me out, so I guess that's good. Lots of TV channels. Room was a little cold, but the heater worked well. However, the heater was very loud. The wake up call came in an hour early. I didn't appreciate that. I really could've used the extra hour of sleep.
The 50$ price No towels in the room, difficult to understand the front desk person.
Cleanliness is good AC is cold For serving is quickly response (service is good) Breakfast just few items/choices, so different with other Hotel with the same price but they have more choices
Location is good. Daytime staff seemed friendly. When I climbed into bed after checking in for a two-day reservation, I slid into soaking wet sheets. Pulling back the covers revealed the unmistakable smell of urine. The front desk manager was completely unsympathetic and refused to apologize or provide any solution until I actively demanded one. He told me that people go in and out of the rooms all the time and there is nothing he can do to prevent it. My friend and I left immediately and slept in our car instead, since everything else in the area was booked. I returned the next morning to complain to the manager and was given the refund the night clerk had refused me, but I simply cannot be emphatic enough that no one should stay at this property. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and have never had such a terrible experience.
Refrigerator froze the food. Air condition was very noisy. No shampoo was provided. Maybe forgot ???
The staff was reasonably friendly and the cable TV was OK. Location was reasonably central in SLC. You get half-working aircon/heating, beds have one sheet and a very thin blanket with cigarette holes (on both beds), hot water sometimes doesn't work and when it does it takes a while and it itches and dries your skin afterwards. The wifi unusable because it's so slow. The breakfast is coffee, way-too-sugary OJ, corn flakes or raisin bran, milk, bread, butter, or waffles (although the dough was poorly made and the waffles would never feel right). Would not recommend except as a quick cheap option.
