It was a wonderful hotel experience even down to the Nespresso machine in every room along with free coffee. Beautifully designed, finished and appointed. We had seen other complain that the hallways were too dark or that two bathrobes in the room wasn't enough. We had nothing to complain about it dislike. They had just opened and their restaurant wasn't completed yet but there are a number of restaurants right across from the hotel.
Bar and eating area were cool to hang and chill. The beds were a bit firm but I did not mind. Having to keep riding the ferry was a bit much but if you factor that into your commute you should be good. Currently there is a ton of construction on all sides which hindered me finding it the first time but once I found the bridge I was good.
Loved everything.perfect for young travelers. Lovely hosts!
Large, airy and modern rooms. Excellent beds. Good shuttle bus to city centre. Air-conditioning system was difficult to use and get the right temperature.
The shuttle was very good. This was the main reason I chose the hotel and it was extremely worthwhile. Only 5 mins to downtown. Also free parking.
The Room was ok, but still very small and pokey. The Hotel Staff were dreadful. Not Helpful, no awareness. For a 4 Star Hotel it was 1 Star Service. 3 Members of Staff watched by the door as we struggled with 4 cases. We were promised twice by different staff members that there were bikes free to use only to find out we would be charged and we talked to the manager and he was not helpful or apologetic. This Hotel only caters for Delta Airline Staff who stay within the hotel for the duration, if you are not Delta Staff do not stay at this Hotel. It was alos overpriced compared to some of the nicer hotels in the city centre. Overall it was the worst experience I ever had from a hotel or even hostel.
Nice rooms, clean, friendly personel, nice view. The room had all the conveniences, iron, tub, hangers, drawers, books, tv, internet, comfortable bed. The breakfast was well stocked and plenty of choice. The shuttle bus was super convenient, after a night out at the opera, being able to get back to the hotel by just going to another of the hotels and waiting.
Clean and comfortable, good facilities The lady at the frontdesk was simply the rudest person I ever came across in a hotel, aloof and most unfriendly, definitely not the kind of welcoming one is looking for when ariving in a hotel.
free bus link to city centre food service in bar was very slow (over 1 hour wait)
The shuttle was great, you really save a lot of money because the public transport is a little bit expensive; rooms are nice and clean, helpful staff The breakfast is very expensive
only served buffet breakfast cost €17 no atmosphere
the hotel was great for the amount of money spent, never had to pay for a taxi, free shuttle to town center every 15min was fantastic. the staff at the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. drinks at the bar were a little pricey around 10 euro for 1 drink.
The price I wasn't able to charge bar to room.
Very friendly reception staff Bar and Restaurant staff not very helpful or friendly
its location onto the water. And beautiful breakfast Our departure from the hotel was at 6.30 a.m., but they dont offer us breakfast
Very peaceful, no noise from the partygoers on board. Convenience of the Ij ferry crossing. The Botel was fine but the treadplate walkway on the approach to the Botel was very slippy. I was aware that there was ice but that material is designed to be slipproof and it certainly wasn't. In need of a good wash down.
We have stayed at the Botel in Amsterdam twice this year , and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone . The service is excellent and all the staff very thorough and friendly . I have no more problems and look forward to staying there again . Nothing that I didn't like . One thing I would suggest though , would be to have tea/ coffee facilities in the rooms . I enjoy a cup of tea when I wake up , so missed it while staying at The Botel .
THe view overlooking the lit up floating chinese was superb and the closeness of the central station.
The boat is in a really cool wharf area. There's some really cool bars and restaurant just outisde. If you don't plan to stay inside, the boat is ideal for travelers on a budget. Pretty straight forward, you're staying on an old cruise boat. Nothing fancy but a room and a shower.
Very close to the station and local amenities. The ceiling tiles lifted whenever the window was open and would bang quite loudly. There was a drainpipe just outside the window which would bang loudly against the side of the wall in the wind.
Great location. Quiet area with easy access to the center of the city. I would definitely stay here again. Very cool Hotel-Boat...Botel :) The last ferry from Central Station leaves at 23:45 and the first one leaves to Central Station at 07:00. But there was a free shuttle 5-7 min to/from the 24 hour shuttle. Had 2 single beds that could not be moved together.
Shuttle service from the ferry after midnight. The internet was so slow, I couldn't post videos (they always timed out) and single pictures could take 15-30 minutes.
the place, the breakfast room smell
Helpfull staff, good atmosphere.
ease of access to city centre; excellent breakfast; modern rooms
price, free parking and the friendly staff -
bad location , to far from city center
Evrything was really nice! ...
good location, and easy public transportation nothing
near the center of Amsterdam
Fully acceptable. good parking, breakfast, people working in. A bit cold. missing heating control
The hotel!!! Free parking!!! Amazing room, smoking room) They knock @ ur door right half past 11 and shout to get out!!! Scary & disrespectful! Not close @ all from the centre = car or bus for 2.60/person
Excelent Mixed Grill
clean hotel staff helpfull bar closes too early
The restaurant was outstanding.
The hotel was easy to find and had very close access to public transportation. The Park and Ride is 5 minutes by car and the train ride is 5 minutes to Central Station. All for 6 euros for up to 5 people - what a bargain. The hotel is not new but has a great atmosphere and character and the location right on the lake is just beautiful. We thought the food in the restaurant was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. If you have trouble with stairs I would recommend that you request a room in the newer part of the hotel - the stairs in the main building are very steep.
We enjoyed the uniqueness if the hotel, and the grounds...along the water front. The food was excellent in taste, presentation, and value. No, We enjoyed the whole experiennce, including service, staff, and value.
The help that the staff rendered; Very Very timely help and they offered a great service in calling the bus numner 30 whenever we needed. The reachability to the Hotel by public transport is not explicitly mentioned
wonderful landscape, very quiet and typical, staff courtesy, great cookery the ceiling in the toilet was too low, I hit my head a couple of times!
Helpfulness, friendliness, location and superb view - excellent food and beer.
Great hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful location, quaint little fishing village town. I will stay there again. Highly recommended.
A fantastic hotel in a great location. The staff were exceptioanlly friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something quieter and relaxing but still close to Amsterdam City
The rooms we got were excellent, nice staff, nice view and garden facilities, easy to reach the RAI exhibition center, right beside the Amsterdam ring The breakfast is poor
I just stayed one night! But il was OK
Nothing I'm afraid The location, amongst a housing estate full of graffiti covered buildings far from the tourist area. The room was appalling. our side table was an old fridge with the electric cable just in reach of a socket half way up the wall. The bed shoved in the corner of the room, two wobbly cupboards stuck between two windows, holes in the wall as if a machine gun had been used on it! It did look clean but this is a low budget pack packers hostel. Shocking to have been offered this by Kayak... Insulted to have been expected to accept it.
