simple good room. just one night to sleep in. place could use a facelift but room was good
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. Very friendly and clean rooms, not to mention a great price. I will be back!
I like AC very much but I normally stay away from the motels by the boardwalk, and now I know why. Good: a block away from the boardwalk; rooms are excellent; corteous staff. Bad: is the off season but they still charged $10 for a second car and $20 for an additional guest. Exteriors are in need of a hose down and the area is very sketchy, didn't felt safe. The value quotient went out the window and we are not staying here again.
Breakfast was good, staff excellent, the bed and pillows were awesome The pullout sofa was very old as were the rusted lamps and chipped table, it was enough to make me not want to stay there again.
The price was great considering the other hotels nearby. About 1/3 of the price of the Tropicana 2 blocks away. Read reviews about $10 for parking but it was never mentioned to me. Haven't noticed a charge yet so I'll wait and see if that holds true. I think our bathroom fan was broken since it never came on when we turned the bathroom light on. Also, there aren't any normal size pillows? Just small square ones? Yet still using regular pillow cases tucked in to hide the extra case...you probably get what you pay for.
Price: $65 on a Saturday night. Rooms where clean, and service was fine. Typical motel noise.
The bathroom had granite countertop The room was crawling with roaches; did not sleep at all; totally freaked out. Management and staff gave no apologies or concessions and accused me of bringing the roaches in from the outside. They claimed they never had roaches in the property, yet they refused to go back to the room with me so that I could show them the roaches. They offered no discounts, refunds or apology! The place should be shut down and the staff fired.
Good location for the price. Clean and air conditioning worked great Cleaning ladies were loud. Wish parking was free
Reasonablly priced and very clean Street level Chealsey Ave side a bit noisy due to traffic.
Proximity to the beach and boardwark was great. A great value for the location and the staff was friendly. The floor in our room was damp in some places.
Overall great location, block away from the board walk and ocean perfect! Great price, grocery store and liquor store across the streets 24 hour bonus!!!! Plus shuttle bus on main street. Great walking distance to every and anything. Will be returning,. Fuzzy cable
The price, freebreakfast and close to beach and Boardwalk. Room smelled bad, musty/moldy.
- Location is great across the street from Tropicana near the boardwalk - Clean room and decent shower - Non-smoking room - The WiFi was not working and after calling and complaining at first they said there was no problem with it and then they said they were working on fixing the issue. After they said it was fixed we couldn't connect to the internet half the time with a dial-up speed, - The room service staff didn't fix our bed and they didn't leave enough towel, and when we called the reception they said we need to go to the front desk to pick up more towels. - When we arrived cars were blocking the inside row of the parking spots and the reception worker had insisted on charging us $30 for the 3 nights in advance, the next day there were available spots and cars had parked in the inside row. Big rip-of .
The room was updated and cleanliness was good Although I didn't have a problem parking, parking is scarce and I could see it being a problem if you check in to late
Like it very much was clean and comfortable, and location was perfect The only thing was the honking of the cars in the late nights hard to fall asleep.
Stayed here Memorial Day Weekend so we couldn't beat the price - the only real complaint I have is parking is not free - $10/per day (cheap ---but they could have let this be known before hand) and you have to pay CASH. For someone who rarely keeps any on them this annoyed me - I would have rather it been charged to my room. No other complaints - staff friendly - free breakfast - though i wished it ran a little later on the weekends. Steps from the boadwalk and tropicana. CLEAN! Would certainly come again
Good for the money & good size rooms. Cleaning staff was lazy & the breakfast was pretty cheap.
TV selection Proximity to the casinos Complimentary bath item (forgot a toothbrush)
I really enjoyed my stay here it was beautiful and the bed is so comfortable and they have a nice bathroom with a blown dyer
The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Only stay here if you want bed bugs and really stained bed sheets. There are roaches all over the place. I am a Wyndham premium member who has stated Wyndham properties all of my life. This place really devalues the Wyndham Brad. Wyndham needs to remove this hotel from their properties.
The room was clean and roomy and the staff was very helpful. I had a wonderful time. Excellent price and location. Nothing
The hotel is older looking outside but the room inside are newly rennovated. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The price for the room was resonable and plan on staying there again in the future.
The room itself was a good size, clean and very comfortable beds. SO MUCH HONKING! Literally, nonstop honking from cars at the corner the hotel sits on. ALL NIGHT LONG. It's like honking will actually make cars move? I know that this is something that the hotel itself can't change but seriously I will never recommend anyone to stay here. Also, this is definitely a hotel that people come back to after partying. You can't hear ppl in other rooms, but holy crap can you hear them perfectly when they are outside.
The room was clean, beds were comfortable. Location was great, right next to the Tropicana and a Jitney stop. Since it was January we didn't go on the boardwalk but it is a block away so it would be convenient in the summer. I also felt safe because there were multiple cameras in each outdoor hallway. Didn't get up early enough for breakfast so I can't comment on that. No bed bugs or other critters like I've seen in other reviews. The guest policy. If you wanted to have a friend in your room for any part of your stay, even just to hang out for a small period of time, you had to pay for them. Parking lot was small. I did not park here (parked at the Tropicana), but it looked like you would get parked in in certain spots.
My room was clean bathroom was so clean I didn't even see soap scum on the tiles grate water pressure and the A/C to the room keep it ice cold even with it being 95 out with high humidity pool looked nice but didn't have time to use it and the coffee was fresh in the morning and there was free off street parking The ice machine didn't work on the third floor and had to go to the lobby every time I needed ice, the outside carpet look like it needed to get changed out soon but you can tell the owners are working fixing the bad here. The last thing I didn't like was the houses behind this place and really trashy people living there they keep to them selves for the most part but from 2pm till 8pm you could here some yelling from in your room
I like the cly the room The atención to the costomer...
If it rained I would have been indoors. The staff was courteous. Staying in a homeless shelter would have been a better option. The stains on the carpet in my room could have been modern art. The TV looked like the vintage that came out when the A Team premired The bathroom was so small, there wasn't room to change your mind. The smell of the establishment only can be described as "unique" If I collected the dog hair from the floor I could have woven a door mat I was afraid to sleep under the covers, the only thing missing from this room was a chalk outline of a body to complete the motif.
We stayed here for the convenience of being close to the boardwalk, and the price. We are a young couple, with young children. We felt very scared in this very run down and prostitute filled part of town. There is a crack house across the street, where drug deals went on throughout the day. The Endicott hotel down the street, is where homeless people, drug addicts, and prostitutes are out all hours of the day/night. A loud bar down the street, where apparently there is no cut off time, as at 7 am people are outside beligerntly drunk. I would not stay here again, even if they were giving away free rooms!!
I liked the closeness to the boardwalk and beach. The pool was nice. I didn't like the mold in the bathroom shower, black mold! The bathroom light was broken and wouldn't turn on without playing with the switch. The ceiling in our room was starting to fall in the corner of our room. One towel for 4 people. Our carpeted floor had nothing but white paint stains all over it as well as the chair at the table. Extension cords were everywhere. Outlets wouldn't hold our phone cords. Tv is old and remote didn't work. No iron to iron out clothes, but we had the ironing board. Would not recommend for a family.
The bed in the room was large. The bathroom was clean. The location was close to the boardwalk and beach. The front desk staff were slow and not very friendly. The lobby was dirty and needed definite updating. The chairs and umbrellas in the pool area were broken. They certainly should buy new chairs, umbrellas and consider some tables for the pool area.
To me this is just a place to crash that is all Everything else
It's a dump run by crooks. No irons in the room because "people steal them'. The breakfast is a joke. Do not stay here. Run away and don't look back.
THEIR WAS BED BUGS, have video proof. Place needs to be shut down. Disgusting
There was people nocking at our door at night and morning Our next door neighbors were rob They stolid there car and stuff of the room and there were no damage to the door
It was affordable. didnt feel very safe had a late check in and front desk guy was sleeping with a bat next to him.The bed sheets had like black dots on them scared it was bedbugs but didnt wake up with bites and the shower the water dripped all night leaving a rusty drain and rusty wall under faucet. Didnt like how when we got to our floor the bed were right next to window knowing the guy was sleeping.
Location Dirty, the bathroom had hairballs in it, room was dingy and dark, no blankets just a bed spread that was probably never washed, loud basically crack motel.
It's walking distance to the casino. There was no parking. Desk guy moved his car and demanded 10 dollars cash! Holes in the wall, shower was beyond gross, dirt everywhere, big cracks around door so the wind just blows in, the bathroom had peeling fixtures, and even the steps and outdoor walkway were sticky with something gross. I only paid 80 bucks but I might as well slept under the boardwalk.
. Only because it was cheap A lot of characters hanging around not a good look at all .. My first time there so I don't if it's like that all the time .. And they charge for parking .. Which I think the was front deck guy come up money .. Pulling that stunt all night and if you move your car you may have to park a block away if your parking space gets taken .. Smh
Nothing Everything dislike
For $80 it wasnt bad They used wayyy too much bleach to clean the room had to air it out. Dont be fooled by "balcony" room or "continental breakfast". Stayed on 3rd floor and pretty sure we were the only occupants on that floor. Wifi sucks. But for $80 for the night it wasnt bad
For the price it was fine!! The room smells like cigarette and was a non smoking room.
Hotel is close to the AC boardwalk and casinos. The room was clean and comfortable. The parking- not enough. We paid the hotel accross the street to park the car so that it was only about 1/2 block to carry our bags.
Close to the casino. It was clean, just what i expected nothing fancy but decent. Says free parking. No parking available at the hotel had to park somewhere else.
The room wasn't maintained well. Holes in the wall, burn marks in the bathroom and on the quilt. The TV was way outdated. Communication between staff is poor. The "orange juice" wasn't juice. Too far from major attractions. $10 charge for parking on their property.
Proximity to casino Everything
Loved that the hotel is a block from the beach and across from Tropicana Very basic. Definitely worth it if the purpose of the stay is to explore the surroundings. It will not give you a hotel experience
That it was cheap It wasn't to clean dirty towels
Front desk staff very friendly and help full. Small complex. The location of El Dorado is great is very close to boardwalk but I wouldn't recommended to a friend. I didn't like carpet it seem super dirty. The whole complex in and out needs a remodel soon. We over paid that's for sure.
It's next to the Tropicana This place is just a dirty motel. Carpets weren't vacuumed. Dust on all the services. Bathroom floor was filthy. There was dirt, grime, and trash pushed in the corner between the sink and toilet. I questioned if we should even sleep in the bed. Woke up and realized there was lipstick on the pillow. Not mine, don't wear it. They canceled the reservation of one of the couples that was with us. Then told them the only rooms they had available were single bed rooms, which I'm convinced they did this just to get more money out of them because we would have taken a double bed room and has them stay with us. Another couple in our group didn't make reservations. When they got there after us the only room they had was two beds. That's a funny coincidence. We have stayed here years in a row, but I think this will be the last. The lack of cleanliness and and pride in the hotel is not worth the cheap nightly rate.
It was right next door to the casino
Price Almost everything else.
we enjoyed that there were no frills. it's an $8 cab to the strip, and a good choice if you just need a place to keep your stuff while you lose your money at the casinos. we were scared we might catch aids if we walked barefoot on the carpet... can't say we were thrilled at $10 a day per car, nor the fact that their doors weren't much more than cardboard that showed signs of previous forced entries. it is, however, atlantic city, so our expectations weren't going to amount to much regardless.
THe hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with dining and entertainment options. The bed's were very comfortable for the price.
very friendly staff, close to boardwalk and shuttles, was the cheapest place in the area on short notice entire building including rooms can use an upgrade or makeover. bed sheets were not clean, parking tight
They are.friendly. They don't give.you.a.copy.of.the.payment...the.elevator.is.very.old & scared.
That it was close to board walk The bathroom was dirty and smelled like weed. There was blood drops and pubic hair in the sheets. Waited an hour and half at 130am for them to bring new sheets. Next night toilet wouldn't work. No ofer to switch is rooms
The worst. Bloodstains all over the carpet, the roomed smelled terrible - like cigarettes and mold, pillows were flat and the blankets had burns all over it, pretty sure there was a camera in the vent in the shower. The one man at the desk was a dick, charged my friends to park and didn't even speak English. I felt like I as way overcharged for the shitty room that we got.. but I guess that's expected from a place run by Arabs.
It was close to where I wanted to be. Needs a lot of work.
I didn't care for anything at this hotel. Only thing good was that it was close to the boardwalk. Room was dirty. Towels dirty. Terrible odor in the room. Bugs. Not worth the 170 I paid. Total ripoff.
The locaton was very convenient. Air conditioning didn't work very well.
Location The staff was generally alright, except for the guy in the morning who kept calling us and harassing us about late check out. We agreed to pay the $25 to check out at 2 instead of at 11 and he kept calling and harassing before finally coming to our door and knocking and waking us up as we were trying to sleep. He never directly said so, but I eventually realized that he wanted us to pay the $25 immediately, rather than at checkout. After having to talk with this incredibly rude and obnoxious man I was no longer tired and decided to simply check out then instead. The hotel was dirty and smelly, cleanliness was clearly never valued there. I showered and felt dirtier afterwards. There really was a lot not to like.
I liked that it was close to the beach/boardwalk. The room was decent and the ac worked great! Had everything in there that you would need. Then again, I'm not high maintenance. Was just lucky to find a room at a decent price so close to the boardwalk. Besides, when you're making a trip to the beach, how much time you really spending in the room? I really have no complaints, would probably use same hotel again. You can only have two people at a time riding the elevator. Again, not an issue for me but the elevator was kinda small and that was a little bit scary to me. But, had no issues using it.
Me and my wife stayed at the red carpet for a night just to get away from the kids for a little. The staff were very friendly and professional. The greatest thing about the hotel is the location The room could use a fresh coat of paint if ya know what i mean.
I liked the room the location the cable tv the staff and again the location!! Had no issues but i must say the building is just outdated and things such as the tub. i first walked in and was scared of the old looking lobby wanted to cancel asap but got to the room and wasnt disappointed
Nothing! This place was very dirty and nothing wWorked correctly! Room smelled, Plumbing didn't work properly, TV with trash.
Nothing just horrible Everything old and it smell like someone died in my room ask can we switch our room staff say no! it booked, but no one was there that night they could have gave us another room and clean that room up very disappointed for my stay price was high just for a night 180 I seen better for the the price smh never again
The price was good.sheap motel. bathroom horrible, toilett was plugged, towels were dirty
