Excellent staff, good food facilities and roof top pool lovely Hotel room was small and carpets were quite dirty. Shower very small, we are very slim people and just got in it!!
The pool on the top of the building was nice, although small. Great view from our room and the top of the building of the Colosseum. Bar area was nice with a good selection. Staff very all helpful and friendly. Our air conditioning leaked and they moved us immediately. Easy access to all the bus routes. Pool was busy and there is very little seating area. Hotel was quite expensive for what you got. Breakfast was average.
Close to Colosseum and Roman Forum. Staff were friendly enough, but the hotel does not live up to Mercure's reputation at all. The breakfast is not worth the 15 Euros (burnt scrambled egg, for example, is not appertising) and you can hear everything from lifts going up and down to traffic noise from the room far too clearly. Then there's the matter of the air-conditioning being switched off in October, even if the days are still very warm. Not what it is cracked up to be.
That you recommend a tour and was excellent Just the size of the bathroom, it was too small
location and friendly personel Lots of stains on the carpet, wall and sofa (where our daughter slept). Holes in the door. Fungus in the bathroom and a leaking tap which caused a lack of pressure so the swich to the shower didn't work. When insisting on a solution, after the receptionist sugestion to shower in the morning, I got acces to a 1p room to use the shower, but that one was so small my head hit the shower and I couldn't bend to wash my feet. It felt like a cheap motel in stead of a 4 star hotel.
It was good that the hotel provided the customers with two bottles of water per person on each day and also a fridge in the room. The shower cubicle was too small and the room could have been bigger considering the price we were charged per night.
Good location. Bar on the roof with a view on Colosseo. Terrible scent in the rooms (we were two families and have tried 3 rooms), lack of fresh air in the rooms due to the glass panels, that cover the windows. Furniture is quite old. Bath equipment is old and rather unpleasant to use. Rather hard beds.
The central location to visit all the historical sites The only downside was the insufficient staff for the rooftop bar/snack area. on our visit the area was busy with guests but only a single staff member to serve all.
staff was very helpfully, good service and most magnificent view at Colosseum ! shower is a little bit small !
Mostly everything The key continually stopped working resulting in going to the hotel room then having to trudge back to reception to have it reactivated. This happened six times in five days.
The friendly and efficient staff and the location of the hotel very near the centre of Rome yet in a pleasant place. While they served a range of very good snacks during day and evening they had no restaurant. However there were plenty of places round about to eat.
All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful . The breakfasts were lovely and the staff in the dining area always smiling and polite . The hotel was in a good location , close to the attractions but nice and peaceful . We had booked a superior doube room and i felt for the price the room was slightly on the small side.
Location, staff readiness to help,
The rooms were very well appointed and staff were very attentive
Very nice 4* hotel with style and atmosphere; very friendly staff. Lovely terraces. Small details to make this hotel even better: - more international tv channels (eurosport, etc.) - it would be nice to have the free internet in the lobby for a quick use
locality - staff - area - already recommended to friends
Friendliness of the hotel staff, they are a real asset to the hotel. Water pressure in the shower in my room could have been higher, but on the plus side they replaced the shower head without me even needing to ask and that did improve things.
most wonderful staff so wonderful food so wonderful the location so wonderful highly rec this hotel not one thing
The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff in the breakfast room always had smiles on their faces and were so hospitable...a nice way to start the day. The front desk staff answered any questions we had and the map of Rome they gave us on the first day came in very handy. After taking a long walk on the first day and then returned to the room, seeing the slippers placed by the side of the bed was such a comforting sight. Customer service was exemplary. The location, too, was convenient to so many attractions, as we chose to do a lot of walking. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Helpfulness of staff . Location of hotel great . Room really clean and comfortable . Breakfast ok . terrace and facilities excellent.
This was by far the best hotel I stayed in out of 7 cities. It was central, clean, air-conditioned, and the front staff was so helpful. The morning breakfast was also lovely.
Location!!!:) backpacker's style
The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to Colosseum. The room is clean, pretty large. The hotel staffs are very friendly. The breakfast only include a croissant, some biscuit, a cup of coffee or tea, and a small glass of fruit juice.
Location couldn't be beaten: walk out the front door, turn left and you're looking at the Imperial Roman Forum. Staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was at the cafe next door, and the only seating there was outside, which put us out with the smokers.
the staff, the central location of the hostel and the view, the cleanliness
It was clean room and very nice staff. They were helpful in every every way possible. We could see colloseum from our room. Heart of city. Tourists like us that havent seen rome before, it was the perfect way to explore. We didnt use any train for two days as it was walking distance to every thing. Only for St Peters church. Perfect location and Perfect price. As we went during summers hottest time, the air condition was not functioning very well but but there were fan as well so both together was good.
Its location was excellent, very close to the main historic sites and surrounded by good restaurants, etc. Santo, one of the staff members, was particularly friendly and welcoming. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The room was quite small.
Location Poor light (day and evening).Poor breakfast (but that is an overall Italian problem).
There is no Internet access
Great location at a reasonable price. The lights were a bit dim in both rooms.
Its location, across the street from the Coloseum No staff available in early morning
The location was perfect. Opposite the Coloseum and easy walking distance to most facilities. The Hotel also had a restaurant. The breakfast was very poor. Juice, pastry and 'french' toast. I think this could be improved. Also the location was very noisy due to road traffic... but this is the compromise
Kindly stuff. Pretty room. Exellent view from room. Noisy location. WiFi didn't work in our room, I had to go down to the hall to get internet.
The food in the restaurant and the fantastic views of the Colosseum. Could be more choice of food for breakfast
Location, location, location. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was very good. The staff were exceptional Did not have an elevator
The personal level of services was outstanding. I felt as if I was staying with family. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Lack of wifi in the rooms but a cable was provided upon request
Good location, basic accomodation, well maintained and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dreadful wifi connection.
great location. On a noisy road
very nice and quiet room. basic breakfast.
The staff were charming and helpful, and the location (within minutes' walk of the Forum and the Colosseum) excellent.
My daughter and I stayed just one night at the Caesar House. It was an easy walk from the train and well located near the Colluseum. The staff there was accessible and amazingly helpful. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. We highly recommend it.
Very good situation of the hotel, good breakfast in your room, very clean, quiet, beautiful furniture, polite service
staff were charming and helpful. breakfast is brought to the room. beside the forum and colleseum. brilliant location no bar or dining room.
good location poor breakfast
The owner and Rosanna were very helpful. That is the best thing of all. The owner suggested a small museum that was a pure delight. The room was comfortable and large and tastefully furnished. They needed written instructions for the remote controls. They quickly review the instructions on two different remotes; however, the night clerk nor I could figure out how to change the language to English. They need a hook for a towel outside of the shower not across the room from it. Otherwise all was lovely.
very central within walking distance to most tourist destinations.
Great location next to the Colleseum. Excellent access to metro and bus. Walking distance from most major sights. Clean, comfortable rooms.
Polite helpful staff, clean room, no-smoking hotel, location close to metro and sights.
Central location, near to major historical sites. Breakfast availability. Reception staff not always quick to respond, though generally helpful.
nothing The room was small, there was mold on the wall in the bathroom, the bathroom facilities were very cramped, shower almost unusable, stains on the wall paper that was also pealing off due to age, bedding not clean, the breakfast was not even worth the fact that it was included in the price, the internet conection was ok and the only thing that made it worth paying for was to find another hotel...
the hotel staff was very kind It was a not smoking hotel
Location The Breakfast
good location, quiet hotel. we asked for a non smoking room, but there is only one non smoking room in the hotel, so we were not very happy with a smokers room. Everything else ok for a budget hotel.
Location. After having met other travelers we found that you can get better value for money.
The location is the best advantage of this hotel From the room you can hear everything in the corridor, so if someone leaves early be ready to wake up! also at the breakfast you will be served low quality bread and "croissant"
Great location, nearly the historic center, clean room, price is appropriatable for Rome visitors.
