Rooms were clean and the hotel staff was very helpful in providing information. Breakfast was poor with only few choices.
Bed comfort and big LCD TV. Decoration was nice too. On the first night we were told there was a problem with the 1st floor and we would not be able to stay there. So they paid a taxi to a hotel nearby (hotel Carlos Magno, which we did not like much) where we stayed the first night. We were able to stay at Aniene for the next 2 nights, but there were small things which we did not like (some things were dirty and the shower was broken, though it was fixed after we talked at the reception).
room is clean, modern design, free Internet it takes 15 min with Bus to the central, little bit far from the city.
Friendly staff made the stay very pleasant. Limited space for clothes (no cabinet)
I loved the contemporary interior design of the hotel. It was opened only 1 month earlier therefor all the facilities were new. The staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. They play good music in the reception which creates in addition a welcoming feeling. The breakfast had a big choice. I definitely go back to this hotel if I am in Rome.
Staff were nice enough and air conditioning was good The hotel is nowhere near a metro so if you like travelling by bus in stifling heat then ok. The room was dirty and we had to change to another room - the area is not great or accerssible, breakfast was basic but ok - I think for the money I spent I could have got a better hotel in a better location with more facilities.
Un albergo perfetto!! I storongly recommend this hotel!! little bit far from city center, but if you take bus, you can reach easily.
The breakfast is really good, the value for money is excellent, quiet neighborhood. It was a little too far from the center, about 30-35 mins from Termini with bus nr. 86.
Friendly staff, Clean room, breakfast good for italian standards (fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, bread, croissants, yoghurts), free Wifi Internet access, nice beds, free safe, airconditioning, flatscreen television with the posibility to connect my iPod. If I have to name something, it would be the time to travel to the centre by bus (84 or 86), but it was okay (30 minutes tot Termini, 40 minutes to Piazza Venezia).
everything was very good, nice and new hotel, good breakfast
The room was very clean and the staff were always very friendly and approachable Could have done with an extra pillow and extra tissue paper/toilet paper
The price was good The bed was a little small
Small and friendly. Distance from the main centre
The staff was extremely helpful. The room was nice and it was close to where we wanted to stay in Rome. There was a rather long set of steps to get to the hotel from the main street. It was hard for my elderly mother in law.
the employees were very servant to us, thank you for the help they provided us. also, we could park our car outside thehotel, without any problems, and without having to pay anything for parking. also, the cleaners were ok, and the air condition worked fine. in general, very cheap and well care hotel. the place is a bit far away from the centre of the rome, about 5 kms, but there is a bus passsing every 30 minutes in a distance of 200 meters away from the hotel, which is fine enought. the breakfast must be a little better, but the machine of making your own coffeee was excellent.
Breakfast was good TV so bad
The hotel was very well maintained, nicely furnished and exceptionally clean. We were happy to discover that the walls were thick and the hotel was well separated from street noise. The cleaning maids did their job quietly as well which made it possible for us to have a good sleep till noon. The heating did not work during the first night because the staff forgot to set it up in the system. The breakfast buffet was virtually non-existent, in fact the worst I have seen in my life. Sour coffee, overdone crossaints and not much more. Fortunately food in the neighbourhood made up for this. Traffic jams make commuting exhausting, but its everywhere the same in Rome.
The location, it was in Rome, and the price. The staff were of mixed quality - some very good, other much less helpful.
Good hotel, satisfactory breakfast The single room was very small and it was impossible to stand in the shower even if you were 5ft 4inches tall due to sloping low ceiling. Larger room was better but the bathroom was needing a bit attention as the polish of marble around washhand basin was gone and the cabinet was badly damaged by water seeping into the joints. However the worst point was the rudeness of the receptionist in shift on the morning of 5th November 2010. It was more than enough to ruin an otherwise excellent break in Rome.
most of the staff was very pleasant walls in the room were very dirty
Beutifull villas, nice restorant nearby too much stairs...
residential distric, clean room, towels changed every day, polite staff breakfast (wide range but not very fresh and tasty - warm not hot coffee, unsvoury bread etc). Traffic to the centre (if I knew that buses are so crowdy, slow and unpredictable (marathon, demonstration, just stopping and not going further, road repair etc.),I would definitely choose a hotel near subway - but there are just 2 lines in a whole city). It is not about the hotel but closely related.
The hotel was clean, the breakfast was very good, very varied. The staff was really unfriendly and the rooms were very small.
The hotel staff were very friendly and healpful. The room were small but very cute, also clean. We booked the room with a balcony, and we had it(it was big). We also liked the open terrace where we had breakfast. The only problem are stairs...
I asked for non-smoking and was placed in a smoking room. The complimentary shuttle to the Vatican and other parts of Rome was not complimentary - there was a charge or I was told the shuttle did not go there.
Good circumstance Difficult to take taxi
did not think staff were particulary kind or helpful
Free internet, decent buffet breakfast (all cold foods such as baked goods and juices). The staff was just okay. They did not really go out of their way for you too much. There was some frustration at times on the part of the staff due to the language barrier. At times they were just plain rude.
It was very spacious and light and a lovely place to be, though a tad far from the centre but I have to say it's not bad when you take a bus and besides it's a big city so it's very good really :) We had to find the room being not cleaned and got charged for the coffee whilst waiting till it was done (aprox. 25 minutes), I reckon that was just an incident, other than that I can recommend it to anyone, specially price/quality-wise, it's definitely a nice hotel :)
The staff were kind and accomadating. I checked in early after a 12 hour flight. They understood and checked me in stright away.

Room clean, staff english speaking, polite and rather helpful, when we requested tea/coffee making facilities those were brought in without any problems at no extra charge Breakfast is too sweet, almost no savoury things at all... although seems to be a typical Italian breakfast, since I asked people who stayed at other hotels and they said that had similar sweet breakfast; permanent strange smell on the ground floor next to reception gave me shivers; hotel's location is good to go to the centre by bus, but it is right on the main road, so ambulances passing every 5 min 24 hrs a day, dust and fumes coming from the road; the room with french bed they gave us first was extremely small, double bed was in fact 1.5 size, so we would not fit with our kid, had to change the room at an extra cost for a larger one
It was an easy location to get to via the buses.. they stop right outside the hotel. It was very clean and had super friendly and helpful staff. Paolo (the waiter in the restaurant) was fabulous and increased the pleasure of our staff. Totally recommend eating in the restaurant. Greats breakfasts too! It is a little far out of town, but as long as you are not put off by a ten minute bus ride then its no problem.
Clean room, simple but nice. A new hotel with modern designs. Excellent reception and information provided. Could be better if the room was more spacious. The hotel is a bit far from the centre but next to a bus stop. Not the best/safest neighborhood to live in.
Friendly Personell,Restaurant is reasonable but cannot be put on the hotel bill. They switch off the aircon during the night and also between 10-13 in the morning ,when it is 30 degrees centigrade outside.Room too small :10m2 you get claustrofobia when staying in...
position and decor room was small dark and aircon useless and we were covered in insect bites
Very clean. Not very close to city center but easily accessible by public transport (line 90 and 60). Simple breakfast but plenty enough. Friendly staff but they can not speak english very well. Room was cold, shower too. I asked hotel staff and they told me that they usually turn heatings on in November.
easy connection to the main railway station, clean rooms, pretty quiet
Staff very commodating and very friendly. Free parking with city transportation nearby. Very quiet and conducive to reflection. A challenge to find, but well worth the stay. Very economical.
Wifi, quiet, cleanliness No safe
Very friendly staff. Immaculately clean. Recently renovated. Rooms are plain and semi-religious (it is run by a group of sisters), yet comfortable and relaxing. Bus connections are very easy - you can be anywhere downtown in 20-30 minutes. great value for money. A bit far from center, otherwise great!
The Hotel was very good, But a good way out of town and about a half a mile from bus.
reception services and room equipment and cleanliness bus transportation when you do not have a car with
Very responsive staff. Free use of computer and printer in a special room. The overall relaxed atmosphere.
the furnitures of the hall and of the rooms one employers of the staff ( in the morning of 10.11.2010) did not helped me in my request of changing my room ( the hotel was almost empty!).
Supermarket nearby No coffee shop
Staff was helpful, rooms were nice Too far from the center of Rome.
The hotel price was reasonable but the commuting was expensive, no metro or buses for site seeing. The ventilation brought in cigarettes smoke.
The stuff is very friendly. The breakfast is good. The location is not in the city center, but there is a bus stop very close to the hotel. a bit expensive maybe
The staff are very helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them, and there are bars and restaurants near by.
I have been there several times with work and was happy to return on a private occasion. My boyfriend and I had a lovely time and the staff was great as usual.Would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore Rome. the only thing, and it's not really their fault, is that it's a drag to get to places. especially coming back late can be a bit of a mission, but to be fair, that's the case with a lot of places in Rome.
Friendly, helpful staff, good clean dining area and the swimming pool no evening meal
Staff was not so friendly, Location is good if you have a car, othyerwise don't even think to take it.Services is fair enough, Breakfast is very good.
Price and help of staff.
It was a very pleasant and comfortable stay, the staff was very good and willing to service you. A peacefull and quiet place, in a traditional-style manner, with basic, but good quality breakfast.
Hotel in the middle of nowhere a long way from Rome
Excelent location for travellers with car, free and convinient parking, nice teritory with garden and swiming pool I did not like that additional fee 18 EUR per day was asked for using multimedia device. It was not possible to watch any TV channel free of charge (even news and sport channels)
good value for money far too remote from the city centre, both bus and train have to be taken to get to city centre
bed was comfortable and the staff was nice Room was not remodeled since the 70's and I was able to easily hear any noise made in the corridor.
It has a verry nice pool. If you come by car in Rome I recomand it because in Rome it is hard and expensive to find a parking in Rome.
Rooms are quite separate from reception desk.
I like that in the room was fully functioning air conditioner with remote controller. The bed size is acceptable, it was two normal beds pushed together. There were no possibility to use fridge. Room was quite small. Around the hotel there were no shops or bars.
The location is far from everything, you should have a car if you want to stay here. The restaurant - which is not really cosy- serves surprisingly good pasta and steak for less than 15 Euro. We didn't take breakfast there since we prefer to have coffee and panini in the city centre. The rooms are a bit too pinky, but it was clean nevertheless.
the hotel is very nice. the room is very clean & tidy. staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was available and pretty nice. the location is reachable by metro and bus, but still quite far from the city center. especially when it's a public holiday, the bus comes once every hour (with no time schedule) so we had to take a taxi to the metro station which cost us about 12 euro. however, for traveler with car, this hotel is great.
Staff were nice and helpful. Rooms spacious and clean. Hotel was a fair bit away from the attractions and city centre. Was on a busy road with no nearby amenities, however good public transport service.
Spacious and suitable room, helpful staff, hotel shuttle available, onsite good restaurant
Position is good to reach quite every part of the city. The free shuttle bus is really useful to reach city center. Personal is helpfulness and nice. Rooms are clean and spacious.
The location, and the hotel staff. Breakfast was bad, rooms are too crowded for 4 people. I would recommend the hotel be cause of the location and not the facilities, .
towels have sour smell
nothing. I believe the owner of the Hotel Romulus is in the wrong business. He would be better off running a farm including all of the staff. The staff was terrible!! Not friendly at all. If you have any questions they will not be too nice. The location is not good. From the airport it took us almost 2 hrs to get there. They never mentioned that breakfast was included (I forgot) they said that they were too busy to do that. Breakfast is horrible and so is the restaurants food.
Very good value for money. Room was clean. Hotel is not too far from the city center.
Very convenient off the Rome ring road for an overnight stay before heading north. Very clean room. Breakfast was ok, just not our taste.
It was Fantastic hotel..we would like to come again..Staff was very helpful ...very good breakfast..near to public transport..and very good and safe parking place...it is just wonderful hotel!!!
I actually didnt like it at all, stayed there just one night because it was very late to move somewhere else.... The staff don't speak English, they didnt have my Reservation, they had no clue of anything and the service was very poor, the location was awful and definitely I would never stay there again.
1. Very clean! 2. There is a swimmingpool 3. Very informative and friendly service Breakfast was only italian (sweet), we asked for some cheese or ham but we had to buy it by ourselves
they were friendly and warm. the hotel is far from the city center but it is really excited. i like this hotel and hotel owners.
It is quite a trek to reach the center of Rome.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The rooms were very clean.
Hotel confortable avec de grandes chambres, bien que proche de la voie rapide il n'y a pas de nuisances car les chambres sont bien insonorisées. Le personnel est discret et serviable.
it was quiet It was too far from Rome center, there was no instructions to direct the traveler that does not know Rome to get to the hotel, it was very unfriendly. The hotel service was not tailor to outside euro travelers and the services offered were very poor... this was more like motel on the side of the road
I liked the rooms and the staff was nice and helped us with lot of information. It was far away from city center , at the end of Rome.
