The intimate atmosphere of this beautiful corner in historic Trastevere and the fact that the breakfast was included (despite my booking not explicitly mentioning so), made up for the fact that the room was rather small.
Fantastic, quiet location in Trastevere. Paper-thin walls mean you can here everything from rooms next door.
nil. The breakfast was very basic and consisted of pre packaged croissants. The heating was turned off during the day and put on a timer which could not be overridden. If you returned to the room early you had to put up witha cold room until the heating turned on. The showewr was far too small. threre was no room to be able to comfortably wash yourself. The room was very small and for women there was no hairdryer. For acomparable price one could get a much better accomodation within metrs of the hotel
The staff were wonderful - friendly, welcoming and helpful. It made my stay feel like a home-from-home experience and added to my overall enjoyment of my holiday.
The location of the hotel made it easy to walk to places like Campo d' Fiori. The staff was amazingly helpful, they allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel when we went to Florence for a night which was immensely helpful. the airconditioner was really noisy, and also the walls are extremely thin and we could hear the people next door snoring, whistling and yelling. We also got reprimanded for whispering at 11 pm by the guest next door.
staff and breakfast rooms are a bit small
I picked this hotel mainly for the price and location. What I got was a real treat. It's a 15 minute walk to the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum and Roman Forum. On the way, you pass the Bocca dela Veritate, Circus Maximus, The Palatino. Walk even further you'll reach the Vittorio Emmanuel ii memorial. The hotel is in the quaint Travestere area, where walking around will get you to all these great restos and gelaterias. The historic Fiumi Tevere is just across the road. And there's even a Catholic Church, San Benedetto a Piscincula right beside it where the priests are dressed in tunics and boots making them look like knights. The people at the front desk are quite helpful, orienting you to the sites nearby. Really enjoyed my stay! For one thing there was no wifi available in the hotel. I had seen a website (not the hotel's) that had stated it was available at this hotel. Other than that, I was ok with everything.
The staff were very helpful. The location was very central and safe. It was good to be in an old Italian building. I loved room 23 where I stayed for the first nights. But I did not like room 20 where I stayed for the last night; it is too small to be used as a hotel room. It was very uncomfortable. It was the only thing I did not like in this hotel.
good location, friendly. 24 hr doorman. Be on your toes when you pay the bill- they tried to add 40 euros unexpectedly. Also requested a wake-up call that never happened. Bathroom was dirty with a broken toilet seat.
Staff is extremely courteous and friendly, hotel is clean, very convenient location in Trastevere. This hotel is very affordable for Rome. Rooms are teeny tiny, beds are uncomfortable, bedding and decor is shabby, and I've been in phone booths bigger than the shower! Skip the continental breakfast - stale cereal and instant coffee.
Location is great. Walking distance to many historical sites and to nightlife. Cleaning staff was very nice. Air conditioning was broken, reception was incredibly rude, black mold in the bathroom.
Hotel has decent walking access to many of the main attractions. There are many very nice restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Did not mid walking up 4 flights few times a day, but it getting very tiring after 4 days (no elevator). But, the reason for the low rating is that the hotel only has 1 electrical outlet. Cannot watch TV and charge an electrical device at same time. Also, although it claim internet, there was no internet service in my room. Had to use my laptop in the lobby in order to get internet.
Great location (2mn from the Pantheon), modern and luxurious interior (don't get put off by the entrance of the building), professional and welcoming staff. Amazing views of the temple ruins and of course cat sanctuary. A great stay.
It was perfect! The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, the location was superb being close to all major attractions in the historic centre of Rome. I can't wait to return to Rome and would definitely stay there again. Coffee in the morning and a glass of champagne at night whilst overlooking Largo Argentina - what more could you ask for in the eternal city. The climb to the 3rd floor with suitcases. Currently a construction zone with a lift being installed. It will make a huge difference.
Great views, amazing staff full of all kinds of knowledge about the local area and what bus numbers go where, overall a great experience and we will be returning to this hotel very soon!!! (don't be put off by the front door and staircase as this is clearly not owned by the hotel).
A big, resently renewed room with a very nice view. the residenza is near to the main sites, which gives you the opportunity to walk in every direction. Friendly staff. everything you need in a room is there. The hotel is more like a big appartment which was made into a 4 bedroom residense. It is like renting a room in a house. One expects to see a looby and a main entrance at the main floor but this is not happening. the entrance is a door, once you open it there are construction equipment for the elevator, which will not be ready by christmass
Fantastic view across square with ancient Roman site. Very convenient for everything - it is all walkable. Very friendly and helpful staff - did essential bookings for Vatican museum and suggested great places to eat. Very clean and comfortable room with comfy bed. Great coffee for breakfast and fizz in evening. If you want to get a bus you can get anywhere from here. The front entrance can put you off. The lift is being put in so you have to walk up 3 flights of stairs though a building site (ready for Christmas 2010). The rooms with the good veiws are noisy due to traffic but slept easily as this quietens in the night.
I think that the specific hotel has an nice view from the window Due to the fact that it is placed in the centre, there is big noise from the traffic.
Our room had a wonderful view of the archaeological ruins of Largo Argentina. The bedroom was large and the bathroom was a nice size. The management pays attention to every detail. The wifi signal in our room was very weak. However, we found a hardwire jack that worked very well. The rooms were very clean. Whenever there was a problem, like the front door lock required adjustment, it was taken care of immediately. The owner spent a lot of time advising us what to see and how to get there. Each morning we were served in room coffee, toast with jam, pastry and juice.
Excellent location, excellent staff, very helpfull and kind! I strongly recommend this hotel!
The location of the Hotel. The service staff particularly in the reception area, and the fact that breakfast was included (not a small thing in Europe) The price for an additional bed in the bedroom where my 3 kids stayed, came out to almost what it would cost to have an additional room.
Large rooms, good location, kind staff, nice breakfast
Efficiency, great room, good food, cool in hot weather
It is a newly decorated hotel. Excellent decoration at rooms, excellent decoration at restaurents on roof and at floor 1. Excellent breakfast Location is 5-10 minutes from Plaza Venece, but still it is 30 minutes walking from mid - city
Everything was perfect! Very good position of the hotel for tourists.
Rooftop restaurant is very nice for breakfast and evening drinks before going out. Well located to pop back in the evening to change for dinner or catch an hours rest before going out for the night. Clean, if small, bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletries. Tea making facilities were good. Staff were very helpful. Nice touch to have water and cups by bed at night. Air conditioning a bonus. Beds were a little hard. Light duvets would be nicer than blankets. No spare pillows in wardrobe. TV was small and wall mounting would make for easier viewing. No mini bar.
good welcome providing interesting, information, excellent location, comfortable but small rooms, excellent staff, quiet in the middle of town
The location, it was in a central location and we were able to walk to most of the sites. It was also close to the stops where the buses are.
Location close to all attractions. Three great restaurants close by.Rooftop garden. Fast check in and out. excellent breakfast.
Location and convenience. Rooftop bar very pleasant.
location was amazing, very central, very clean exactly what we wanted no
