Good friendly service. We wanted an airport shuttle to the hotel. One was set up, but the shuttle did not show up at the airport. We took a regular taXI.
my bed was a bit noisy... this may not apply to other beds.
I liked the restaurant and I liked the location. There were not enough English channels.
good location (10 min tram distance from the city center, 5 min walking distance from Laziensky parc), verry quiet and clean, excellent breakfast. They requested intermediate payment which is, I think, for a big hotel, a bit unusual
During my stay at the hotel I appreciated especially the cleanliness of my room at the connectivity at the internet.
had a decent restaurant, good breakfast, good cleaning of room location= far away from city centre (but close to our business meeting venue and that's why we chose it)
The staff was very friendly. 5 stars. The location is also good if you want to be close to the biggest park of Warsaw and close to some universities. The room was not big and was quite old. The curtains were small compared with window size after sunset it was impossible to keep a low light level within the room.
The rooms were very comfortable and dinner was excellent.
Cleanliness of room. There is no wireless internet access in rooms.
Comfortable bed, roomy a small coffee maker would be a nice addition
The location. Easy bus routes to central of Warsaw and other areas. - Poor internet access. Not always working. - Registration staff were not very helpful. I has to cut my stay short by two days and asked for the two remaining days I have paid for to be credited to my stay in December 28 & 29. They refused to help with this. - Beds were too hard and pillow too big and bulky - not what a US person is used to - No space to sit at the reception - Dinning room not opened during the day and too crowded for the buffet breakfast and dinner. I had to wait in line for 20 minutes and then could not find anywhere to sit.
Very cheap. Very convenient for sightseeing since bus station is close. Transportation for airport is also cheap and convenient. Staff did not address my request to repair the bath room light.
I would have liked the room to be clean. After walking barefoot 30 min. our feet were black. The floor was sticky. It is true that it is located 15 minutes from downtown but it adds up to 30 min from the old city. The reception staff could not even tell us where we could do laundry, for a budget hotel of 260 rooms, that is sort of surprising.
I liked that internet in room was working pretty well. Also, the beds were comfortable and I had a good sleep. I didn't like breakfast and price for value ratio. I had payed 60 EUR, as for standard 3 stars hotel not in the centre, but we got old building, probably reorganized from student dorm. I recommend to check for Etap Hotel or something like that.
The staff were helpful. many of them can communicate with english. it is very cost effective. although it has a distance from the center but bus stop is very near. Always check your bus scheduel times so as not to miss it :)
Clean, comfortable, not expensive hotel, good and rich breakfast. Very good for a short stay.
price, considering that Warsaw is not cheap, and that communist days atmosphere that the Hotel has (in fact, it looks more a residential building, of those days, than a modern hotel) staff was often undriendly, like angry; location is bad, far away from the city centre, though easily reachable by bus
It is acceptable for this price The comfort of the room and the cleanliness of the bathroom could be better
Location, spacious bathroom, clean bedsheets. big window, 1.Old suck under my bed 2. old TV
free internet is not in city centar
Easy transport to the Central train station Very close to the higway, a big noise during day and night - impossibility to open the window in very hot weather
The parking was full and for 30PLN my car stayed factually out of valved parking.
We lived in spacious room with good furniture and excellent bathroom. Good breakfast. The cost of parking does not correspond to the information from the description at Booking.com. Real cost of a parking but 40 pln. In our opinion, this price is too high. In the centre of Vienna (it was the underground multy-level garage) we paid for a parking the same sum. But it was the center of Vienna, and hotel portos is located in peripheral district of Warsaw. And in Vienna our car stood in garage, not at the open area! I think that optimum cost of a parking for this district of Warsaw is 20-25 pln. This hotel is far from the center, and consequently the convenient cost of a parking is very important.
Cleanliness and homely comfort. Helpful staff. Spacious rooms. Foreign TV programmes. Tasty breakfast. No seasonal fruit at breakfast.
very nice hotel and helpful personel!!! liked the stay!!
It was suitable for us because the reason what we travelled to Warszava for was close to hotel Portos. To reach to the downtown was very easy. When we arrived, we had no idea what about the parking. The porter didn't speak english and we didn't find any information at the gate.
Helpful, efficient, pleasant staff. Modern room. It's about a ten-15 min bus ride to center, stop is right across the street so it's relatively convenient.
The room was very clean and comfort and the breakfast was good!
was described as central but was 7 kilometers away from center, was a lot of noise from the hotel opposite part of the same chain no seated area outside the hotel
Thick night curtains Although we had deluxe double room: 1) windows were directed to the street. There was a big noise coming from the street cars 24 hours a day. Windows in room were old-styled thin ones not reducing the noise at all. We had to sleep with cotton in our ears. Very unconfortable. 2) strange smell in the room. 3) some of stuff spoke English hardly. Even after we talked to them in English they replied in Polish. That was impolite. 4) No tourist information materials available. 5) Far from the center of the city. 6) Breakfast was terrible. Served in corridor with huge queues. No vegetables.
friendly staff, clean, value for money. Joanna in the restaurant is very good at her work and speaks english! Bus connection to town good(buy tickets at Hotel Atos kiosk). Breakfest is good!
Excelent buffet breakfast.
The Hotel is realy very simply, but cheap!!!! very cheap!!!! Not for business mans;)
Smoothness of procedure, cleaness
no internet connection
Hotel has nice clean and warm rooms. and with a lot of transport going to the center. and 20 min to metro Slow WiFi internet connection, and no city bus route map at lest for the busies going near the hotel, and no internet link provided to look up the route/timetable on your own without leaving your room, but of course you can consult the stuff (the had no problem with that.)
value for money an extra charge for parking
Internet access in my room. There was no hot water available in the room.
Easy to find this hotel. There is bad smell in the room.
The doors in the rooms were too old. :)
excellent price and good cleanliness of room much noise and far from center
- I didn't find any info about the quickest way to catch the hostel by public transport from the city centre or central railway station
Hostel is very close to Galeria Mokotow, wich is a nice shopping center. In 30 minutes you are in the city (Central station or Nové Swiat) with bus 174 or nightbus N36. Busstation is 5 minutes from the Hostel.
convenience to the airport The rooms were fine, the passages were run down and there was noise from other rooms.
if you looking for a cheap room with low comfort - it hostel is for you room I've lived was very-very small and uncomfortable. Cleaning must be better
1) The very nice and guest-oriented owner of the hotel, she was always there to help or suggest where to go, what to do, she is definately the soul of the hotel and made us feel like at home where we are always welcome :)
The staff, the place - very nice house, clean and has free wireless. It was quite cold during the night, one bathroom for too many people
The place is a private house at a nice and quiet district, not far from the center. You receive a clean and comfortable room with a very nice bathroom (though shared – but you have 2 bathrooms and 2 independent toilets) at a very good price. You can use fully-equipped kitchen and dining room, as well as wi-fi internet for free. Very kind and helpful stuff (that are actually the owners of the place, I think). I would definitely come here again and recommend the place.
Well placed near main tourist bus routes.
Nice clean place staff could have been more friendly Sharing toilet and shower
Very cozy hotel with picturesque view from a balcony and nice neighborhood. In addition, rooms are clean and tidy with all necessary equipment.
Abracadabra offers pleasant basic accommodation in newly converted house run by a young couple. The hotel is situated in an enclave of older houses near the old fort that was gutted due to 2nd world war airaids The location is fairly well served by buses. Free use of the kitchen and dining room is provided.
Nice atmosphere Beware: Toilets are shared, though they are very clean!!! It's not so clear while booking... Also there are thin walls and doors, so you hear almost everybody coming back.
Hotel staff is very polite and easily answers every question you have, and help you if you need it. Room and toilette were clean. There is a nice kitchen with free coffee. The hotel is situated at very quiet district. -
Good breakfast. Quite a distance from city centre, but easy to reach with the Metro.
Enjoyable stay, friendly staff, clean rooms, all you could expect from a clean standard hotel. Expensive, but this was due to Euro 2012 and the other hotels were much higher in price anyway.
I highly recommend this Hotel for those people who need free accses to the internet with very good speed in their own room!
The staff was good, room and toilets were clean and it is very near to the Airport. prices should have been less.
very clean hotel
Very very clean and good value for money Very limited evening menu
