Well located near center. Because I was at second floor, at 9AM there was some noise outside. Another thing is that there is no foreign channel on TV.
I liked the hotel staff and that It´s downtown and very easy to go anyplace.
Fantastic in every way .Great boutique hotel. Will always go back there. Simply great in all aspects. Nothing at all.
Very nice to stay, and very good location close to the shopping street, and the subway stations. the sequrity is also very good. It is only a little bit problem to talk with the staff's In the resutrant, not at the front desk in Spanish.
An excellent hotel - great for shopping situated in the microcentre business area. Standards of service were very good as was the excellent breakfasts.A very enjoyable stay. None
Location short time !
The hotel is a great Boutique style in a great location and very friendly staff.
Confortable, good value
Clean and new. Very good selections of breakfast with table-clothe and real china. Room is spacious. Flat screen TV has a lots of English channels to watch.
Large room, bathroom, and shower. Close to Retiro and Puerto Madera. Didn't like the location since we were on a pleasure trip. Liked the Palermo and Soho neighborhoods better.
The hotel is in a good, safe neighborhood in a great location near Florida pedestrian street and Galleries Pacifico. The rooms are comfortable with an understated elegance. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast buffet is generous. I would stay there again when I visit Buenos Aires again.
location, The location is perfect for downtown shopping and activities. The staff were more than helpful and easy to deal with. The room was drab and the air conditioning was ineffecient. We could turn it on but there are no temp. controls. We had to open the windows to cool the room and you lose privacy and gain street noise.. the electronic room keys were a problem for ten days. They would work a day or one use, than would fail.
Very nice and helpful staffs and most of them speak perfect English. Also breakfast is good. Restaurant is also good. No remote control for the air-condition in the room a little bit hot in the first night, in my room a small refrigerator cover is kind of broken, hard to close, but not so important.
Location Not 4 star as advertised. Small, poorly furnished, old looking.
Very good location. Staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Internet access. Some people (including kids) constantly hogging computers. Either more computers or some control like I have seen it at other hotels might overcome this.
Hotel is in a great location to explore Buenos Aires. Rooms are clean and of sufficient size. We had a room in the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. We loved the window covers that blocked out any sunlight. The breakfast was abundant and delicious.
The location No view. The window gives to a close and sad patio
perfect location in city centre fitness room is very old fashioned and machines are defect not working properly. maintenance is needed
The hotel is located in the center of town, near by all the shops and night life. Very busy area during the day and on weekends the area is very very noisy. When you get in side the hotel from the "out life" you feel like you arriving "home" :) I loved it, defently will come back. The rooms are to small for my opinion, some of the acupment in side the room need to be fixed....
The location was great
location in the center of historical city lot of noise the fridge was losing water. they ask you to pay in advance which is not noticed on booking.
nothing at all. this hotel is not four stars. the breakfast has only croissants, my room view is for vault where i can see other rooms. I paid extra for a better room and I didn't see this value at all. Mostly the staff are very very rude.
The location is the best possible, with easy access to the subway and close to most city attractions. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The double room we had booked was not available, so we had to stay in a twin room. The staff said the beds would be joined, what never happened, even though we asked again the next morning. Also, the linens for one of the beds were initially missing, which we were given a request, but we had to make the bed ourselves.
the breakfast the bathroom
very central and convenient to theatres, shops and restaurants. helpful staff who spoke english
It was centrally located in the heart of Buenos Aires , was good value for money and the staff very helpful .
Convenient l;ocation to everything, good value for the money. Breakfast was very good! Staff at the Front Desk were not very friendly at times if you had questions. Coulbe be that I spoke English. Patricio was great!
Very good location, central There is no safe box in the room
The furnishing and decor of the room is modern and well maintained. The location of the hotel is excellent in the Microcentro. The breakfast buffet was rather basic and understocked on a busy weekend morning.
The hotel is right on the pedestrian street, Lavalle, in the heart of the micro-center of the city. Easy access to restaurants, tourist attractions, subway/taxis. The rooms we stayed in were the non-renovated rooms, so they were as clean as can be expected of pretty old furniture and bathroom fixtures. From the rooms that face the street, you can open the window and look down on some of the street entertainment taking place on the corner of Florida. The free wireless internet was available only in the lobby and you wait while the receptionist goes through a cumbersome process to get an access code, only to find out it's good for one hour. I didn't like that the beds were all twin-size, even if you have 3 people. When I asked for a double-size bed, there was nothing available unless I wanted to pay quite a bit more. I didn't like that the mini-fridge is locked and you have to ask to have it opened. Also, I would have preferred that the "included" breakfast be available until 11am or so. We didn't get going early enough in the mornings, after enjoying late evening dinners out on the town in Argentine fashion, to take advantage of it. The only reason I might not recommend this hotel is because there are so many to choose from in that area - you might get all the advantages without the disadvantages somewhere else.
Helpfulness of all the staff and we appreciated that the rooms were clean and tidy
The location was good. The breakfast had really good media lunas (croissants) and at least something decent to eat. The hotel advertised free wi-fi in the rooms, but this was not the case. The hotel wanted to charge for wi-fi, and I pointed out that I felt the description was false advertising. The woman I spoke to about this was completely rude about it. The worst part was the poor cleanliness of the hotel. When I arrived, I found that there was toilet paper in the toilet that had not been flushed. The entire room and living spaces did not appear clean at all so I left the next day. There are many other options in Buenos Aires for reasonably priced apart hotels or apartments that you can rent at a cheaper price than this one and they are much cleaner, better maintained, and more modern. I would look elsewhere for a place to stay.
very friendly and helpful staff; great location
Good central location, excellent value, very friendly staff No
The staff was hospitable and the location was good. The rooms were very old and dingy. Kitchen did not even have the basic stuff. Bathroom did not even have the mats. The whole set seemed to be very old and worn out. it is a very very small hotel. Even the linens and towels were very worn out.
central location, and two rooms advertised as 2 bedroom but in fact the second bedroom was lounge room with sofa bed.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Suite was very roomy; decent-sized kitchen and good lounge/dining area. Kitchen contained the bare essentials and didn't have a sharp knife, but we managed fine with what was there. Excellent location; we found it very quiet despite being on a main city street. Standard breakfast was included in our rate; breakfast is provided for about 4 hours and the earlier you go, the more choice you have. Would definitely stay at Sarmiento Suites again.
This is an excellent budget/boutique hotel, with very comfortable, nicely-designed rooms. Breakfast is basic, a step or two up from continental, but good. Very helpful, friendly staff; there was almost always someone at the desk who spoke English. Definitely recommended. The location is double-edged: on the one hand it's a two block walk from every subway line; on the other, sidewalks are narrow and traffic (and pollution) heavy.
Excelent location, reasonably comfortable and very good price. The bathrooms are old and spotted. Really not nice. There was a lot of dirty underneath the bed, old television, and the breakfast is not as good as it should be.
