I booked one of their luxury rooms, which was not so expensive and it was really nice and comfortable, and located on a really nice street in the city centre. Only that they had no record of my booking, they thought I was staying on the Slaviero Palace in Sao Paolo....but anyway, didn't mattter. They were very nice about it, and gave me the room anyway, at same price. Not much English spoken, but that is typical of any city in Brazil outside of SP and Rio.
The Hotel offer confort and facilities compatible with the price of the room. The location is very good for business and shopping. The restaurant offer good conditions for the breakfast and the dinner.
Close to the city centre, enjoyable breakfast, unusual hotelroom. A bit noisy because of trafic. Don't take a dinner in the hotel nor room service: quality far below normal standard. Most of the staf did not speak any other language than Portuguese.
breakfast was very good internet connection was terrible
Mostly the staff
location, breakfast buffet was quite good; lobby is pleasant bathroom showerhead; gym/sauna region not so nice for a fairly new hotel (eg tiles broken etc); aesthetically cheap
Service in general The breakfast meals offered were bellow our expectations
The pool on the top floor had amazing views over the city and was quiet but you had to pay for the jacussi which was mean The breakfast was quite disgusting and so much so that we went out and paid for breakfast rather than stay in the hotel for the breakfast that we had paid for
The staff was friendly though the communication was difficult st best. They tried to help the best they could. They were good people. If not for the World Cup, one should not pay more than $50 a night if in a crunch to find a place. The surrounding area was sketchy but ok during the daytime. At night; however, one is better off walking in large groups. It definitely did not look safe and it was not, although my buddy and I did venture out to the historical neighborhood. This is cited as one of the strong points of the hotel, but should be done in daytime. The amenities (TV & phone were the only ones) are old-very old and the WIFI did not work one if the two nights we were there. There was another section to this alleged hotel ( it's more like an old Motel 6) that had been painted and some renovations may have been done, but can not comment. If one is comfortable with sketchy neighborhoods and can get this on the cheap, then it is an ok place to stay. We paid almost $100 a person ($200) a night and it is not worth it.
Breakfast service on sunday morning. Even offering a service till 11:00 am, the buffet was really poor of options as they couldn't refill it on time as they were apparently short on staff to hold on the number of guests they had.
Great breakfast, quiet rooms
This is a great hotel in downtown Curitiba. Very clean, well appointed up to date, fast and free wireless internet. Couldn't have been better! Very comfortable for me as a woman business traveler.
