I wasn't recognized as a gold member until day 3 of my stay. Subsequently was informed I could not receive Executive Lounge access because I did not book through the proper channels, but was told they'd let it "slide". Housekeeping cleaning rags were left in my room.

We loved our stay! We were iffy on staying there because of the ratings but it was great. Room was very clean. They do have a parking rate but since you are staying at the hotel the do waive it. It is very quiet and peaceful, our 6 month old slept through the night! Would definitely stay there next time we travel to Dallas! The bathroom tiles in the tub need to be fixed. Nothing major.
The room itself was nice and we did get an upgrade to a suite. The room wasn't totally clean. Dried soda on counter in kitchenette when we arrived-maids didn't even clean it when I left a note! Dried silly string in pictures and ceiling. Broken furniture. Disappointing. None of the staff smiles or even seems to welcome you at all. Plus--had to pay $17/night for parking garage across the street.
Pros: friendly staff, good location, punctual valet, nice bar. Cons: dirty bathrooms with dirt in bathtub, used soap bar still in shower, carpet felt dirty, extremely outdated furniture (felt like I was in a cheap Vegas hotel), bug crawled on me during sleeping, no breakfast included, have to pay for Internet and parking.
The hotel is located across the parkway/tollway from the galleria and is also near a lot of restaurants. Our room was clean and the staff was helpful. Parking at the hotel essentially costs $17 per day ($17 overnight or $28 overnight for valet parking). Otherwise, there are hourly rates available.

The hotel was beautiful,and the rooms were nice and clean.The young lady who checked us in was so pleasant. We were very impressed. We were vey disappointed that the swimming pool wasn't cleaned,especially with it being so hot!

Suite with separate bedroom for less than the cost of a regular room at most hotels with the Kayak deal. Nice rooms, nice hotel, clean and well kept. Very satisfied overall. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. We had a room with double beds and they seemed smaller than average, to the point that rather than sharing with my husband, I wound up sharing with our youngest child because the double bed was not big enough to accomodate 2 adults comfortably. Mattress was hard. Had some problems with our restroom facilities: Toilet didn't work right, shower handle was on backwards. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and I would absolutely return for what we paid for this room. Very nicely accommodated my large family for much less than we would have paid elsewhere.
Nice hotel, great, friendly staff The only bad thing I can think of is the towels weren't that soft. We used them to go to the pool and then requested some clean towels to shower with and the staff brought them up to us in less than 5 minutes. If the only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is about the softness f the towels, then the place is pretty great

I loved the apartment style look, the living room was separate from the bedroom. Very spacious. I loved alll the mirrors! There was no rush to check out. My view was a bit ugly but that was totally do able.
Very nice clean and spacious room. The bathroom was very nice however there was no extractor for the steam from the shower and lighting was very poor. Lightning was also limited in the bedroom of the suite, but good lighting in living area.
Only paid $100 and they had an in house bar and a pretty nice lobby. Some of the staff was awesome! While some of the staff was great (the daytime staff) the nighttime staff was a nightmare. Also, be sure you bring your own drinks and snacks as ordering 3 non alcoholic drinks will cost you $23!
Staff was not attentive. Seemed more concern to yell across the lobby to a friend or answer the phone in front of your while they where trying to help you. Overall they are not very professional at their job.
I loved my room! Amenities were great, great selection and TV channels and there was very comfortable beds! The staff were all very kind and accommodating. Since I was there for a convention and the renovations were a damper on things, they gave attendees a complementary night, free parking and Wi-Fi. I thought it was a fantactic gesture. Since they are in the middle of a renovation the lobby didn't look very great. Also I am not crazy about the 20% incidentals charge but I understand it's something they have to do. Lastly, the room service food isn't terribly great- it's kind of bland unfortunately .
I loved this hotel. Everything looked super modern and very clean inside and out. The one thing that surprised me was that the breakfast was not complimentary. I had walked in, served myself, my wife and my daughter everything we needed before a "waiter" showed up. They were kind enough to let us slide but I did tip. I'm not upset it wasn't complimentary but I am upset that it was that easy to mistake it as such. Overall would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
I thought the staff at this hotel were incredibly nice. Even during a remodel they still went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay! Also, the shower was so relaxing! Great thanks to these guys for making my overnight seem like home. Just the pesky remodeling of the hotel. I know that the staff couldn't help it but having to follow detour signs for check in and parking got a little old. That really is all I can say, and I'm just being picky. Even during the remodeling the same were very accommodating!

Appearance and friendly bar staff. Somewhat lazy and dismissive front desk. Given a room near construction. Dirty pillows (could smell a previous guests' perfume) and comforter. Broken air conditioning, all in a newly renovated room.
One night stay for my wife and I to visit my son attending college in Dallas. Hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. 2 blocks from Watermark Chuch, so easy to walk to that Sunday. Rooms was spacious, and hotel was clean. They are about due for some furniture replacement.
My only concern is about the breakfast. In other hotels like Marriott, the breakfast is on the house, so I was disappointed that you had to pay for it.

Overall, I liked this hotel. I experienced multiple confusions with the front desk staff and my reservations, but it didn't cause too much of a problem. The rooms are nice, but you can just tell the hotel is old. The connection to the mall was incredibly convenient. That was my favorite part. I would stay here again.
Easy access right into mall food area. Fitness room was small but adequate. Fitness room was clean and included chilled towels. The single king room was small. Gave away the double bed room we had reserved weeks in advance. If I book a double room, that means I want/need a double room. Lobby extreme crowded. Took a long time to check in. Various cupcakes were sitting out in the lobby with blurry decorative icing that made them look like they had been sitting out a long time. They were presented so poorly that it seemed different sources had dropped off old goods that hadn't sold the day before. A room on the west side meant choosing between the hot western sun directly in the window all afternoon/evening or no natural light. Lots of Tollway traffic noise to wake me outside my window on a Sunday morning. Overall, overpriced for the accommodations and services it provides. Do not recommend.

The location is great. It's a beautiful hotel with well appointed rooms and great customer service. The have a free shuttle. It's steps from the Galleria which is full of great shopping and restaurants. It has two restaurants - an upscale seafood restaurant and a mid-range bistro on the second floor. They do their room service menu through the 2nd floor restaurant so there is a better in room dining menu than the standard hotel fare. You can also take your drinks up to your room if you order from the 2nd floor restaurant. The parking is a pain (as many others have mentioned) but if you don't mind a bit of walking then there is plenty of free parking in the parking garage and we never felt unsafe even when come back late from a dinner. The pool was a bit underwhelming with no cabanas or umbrellas for shade and no attempt to make it look like a retreat (I.e. Greenery or decor - just a walled concrete box). This was such a surprise as we've stayed at other Westin properties that had lovely pools.
We liked the room, it was very clean, and had everything we needed for a one night stay. We really enjoyed the location, being so close to the shopping and dining the mall offered. The employees were helpful and customer service was great, just what you'd expect at a Westin.

Great deal, amazing room. Location is good. Very clean and chic. Did not like the $20 a night to park and definitely didn't like the over priced breakfast. Went back for seconds and got charged another $18 for a bowl of fruit, eggs and potatoes. Also, the bar was a bit steep as well. So NOT cool
The rooms were beautiful, very chic. The staff was awesome! It was very luxurious and the bed was very confortable! Guests have to pay for parking daily, and it was pretty expensive.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a couple of issues with timeliness. Ordered room service one morning, just 1 latte and 1 cappuccino, and it took over 1.5 hours to show up. We were told it would take 25 minutes. We took a shuttle to dinner and that was fine. However, on the return trip, we were told a car would be there to get us in 15 minutes. It took just over an hour. I can understand delays (especially driving on a Saturday night), but the complete lack of a good estimate on time and/or the lack of updates is what caused it to be an issue. The fact that we had to repeatedly call to get updates and were repeatedly given grossly inaccurate updates was the problem.
I want to start out with the presentation of the hotel. Very modern and chic. I loved it. We got to the hotel before check in and we were exhausted from a 8 hour trip. The lady let us check in earlier and I wish I would have gotten her name because she made our first solo hotel reservation experience a joy. The rooms were spacious and had individuality that some hotels don't have. I will go back for sure! I didn't like that we had to pay for parking. I also didn't like that they charged a $75 fee just in case we did something to the room. There was a staff member who didn't really seem welcoming but I won't hold it against the hotel or the staff member himself since everyone has an off day
I loved that I was offered a free upgrade A staff member by the name of AL was highly rude when I called the from desk and said the ice machine on the second Floor was broken. He paused and said, "what do you want me to do about it." OH MY GOSH!!! He asked me twice with a tone in his voice. So had to either go to the restaurant and get a bucket of ice or call room service. It took over 30 min after I arrived to receive a luggage cart. I arrived and let the cart worker know. He then gave my cart to 2 other people Who arrived after me!!!!! I was very disappointed. I've stayed at this location before. But this is the first time I've ever had a bad experience.

Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was super nice and accomodating! Prices for parking, breakfast and bar were much too expensive in my opinion. Room had a mini frige that we could store our water and soda's that we brought. A microwave would have been a great addition to the room since we had left overs from some of the wonderful Dallas restaurants we visited. I would definately recommend to others but with a disclaimer that most ammenities come with $$$.

Hotel was quiet, which allowed for a good night's sleep, and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was decent. Not enough parking.
We loved many things about the hotel. The room was very nice, especially the bed. The bed felt as if the result of a blanket having sex with a cloud. It was the comfiest sleep I'd ever had. The entrance tithe hotel was gorgeous and well prepared. It was inviting, as well as relaxing. The view from our hotel room, though we were only on the second floor, was astonishing. You could see the CBS Television building, and many other various skyscrapers. The staff was friendly and helpful. There isn't many bad things to say, but everything has it's ups and downs. One issue with the hotel was the carpet stains. They were few in number, but they were still very noticeable and obvious. Another issue was the lack of staff. It was hard to find someone who could assist us. There was also the issue of the A/C. The A/C blew cold and we would wake up freezing, but it didn't blow hard. We had to let the A/C blow for four hours or so before the room cooled off, and that was my main issue. My big issue was when I went to eat breakfast here. I picked up a stack of unclean plates and finally found a decent one. The plates had food on them and water spots and so did the silverware. I was very disappointed in how unclean they were. I didn't want to eat off of anything until I hunted for clean plates and silverware.
I made a reservation for two beds. My reservation was taken... But not held. They ran out of rooms with two beds. Apparently this hotel doesn't understand what a reservation is or how the process works.
The room was clean and tended to. We had the occasion to go to the front desk several times for various things. Everyone was friendly, professional and helpful. PS, couldn't figure out how to rate the 5star section but would have rated them all 5. N/A
It was an expedi value so I got what I thought was a good price. Floors and bathroom were dirty. Reception didn't tell me anything about the amenities etc. over all it was blah and I wouldn't go there or recommend it.

I was expecting a regular continental breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by eggs and sausage! The bed was amazingly comfortable. We also love the separation of the bedroom and living room area. The front desk staff went above and beyond to be helpful. No -- it was truly wonderful, thank you!
They had Pepsi products in their fountain machine. My room smelled like a cat litter box. I had to go purchase an air freshener just to stay in it. Curtains were ripped up. Furniture had chunks out of it. Power went out (not their fault) so they tossed a couple of glow sticks in stairwell.

I liked the kitchen. We used the fridge microwave and glasses/plates. Pillows were comfortable. The hot tub was broken at our hotel. All the staff seemed like they hated their job. When we checked in we didn't get much information or even pointed in the direction of our room and my key card didn't work. Stairs were messy and gum was on the door.
Location was good! Most of the staff was attentive! Changing bed linens every 6 days was disgusting. I was told the bed linens would be changed every 5 days on the 3rd day. It was printed on a paper but I was not provided the paper upon check-in. Rude front desk man came to room when asked for key re-set

Everything was great! We enjoyed the fitness center, got massages and loved the walking/jogging track. Everything was very clean which we always appreciate. Staff was always helpf and friendly. We will definately be back on our trips to Dallas. Room did not have a mini fridge or microwave. I did not ask to see if these are available though.
Access to the entire grounds including fitness facility was great! Coffee selection was nice. Room was very spacious with clean, crisp design. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room.

The staff was phenomenal at the Embassy suites. The front desk check in was very easy. Brittany the restaurant manager was phenomenal and sent goodies to our room for our parties gathering. Restaurant staff very attentive. Housekeeping staff was friendly and efficient.
Air conditioning in room wasn't working was given a box fan for the room.
Some of the fixtures in the Bathroom needed to be updated.

No parking charges. Great free breakfast and Happy Hour reception. While most of the staff was friendly, one waitress was a little rude.
My only complaint is that it was booked on the wrong credit card. I applied for the room online with my credit card and my daughter checked in first and gave them her credit card for incidentals. They charged the whole thing on her card and I have not received my credit card bill to see if I was charged as well. My stay was on Dec 5, 2009 and my name is Martha Morland
I enjoyed everything the Embassy had to offer! I will definitely return. The breakfast was outstanding. No other hotel I have stayed in offered the services the Embassy offered! The staff was very helpful and checking in and out was a breeze. I felt like I was at home! I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends!
See below The lobby and main common areas are under construction. We didn't experience any dust or noise in and around our room. The "entrance", "front desk" and "breakfast room" were inconvenient. I commend the staff for their positive attitude and for bearing up during difficult circumstances. We weren't warned about the renovations hen we booked; l think Hyatt should reduce the price of the room and give us a partial rebate.

I liked everything. I was on business and so I was only there to sleep. Clean. I told them they didn't need to give me fresh sheets for my second night. Breakfast was great. Eggs, pastries, potato squares, toast, etc. That set me up for the rest of the day. I really liked it. The bed was too soft. Due to my back injury from a car wreck, they don't have firm beds. So I had to improvise. At 6'2", I almost touched the shower ceiling.

Breakfast was great and the stag were all very friendly. I've stayed here about a year ago and I enjoyed my stay however this last stay was a turn off. I'm not sure if I will return. I was not comfortable, once I saw the cockroach. I informed the front desk and they told me they would inform the maintenance team.

Had a hot tub in the suite. suite was very relaxing and clean. Front desk was very accommodating. The free breakfast was impressive. thought it would be cereal and bananas, but it had all sorts of breads, bagels, muffins, sausage, eggs, waffles, coffee, three or four juices. Indoor pool and Jacuzzi was nice too. I don't really have much to complain about. The fridge could have been a little colder in the room, that's about it. The neighborhood behind the hotel seems a bit sketchy, but we didn't have any issues with people, cars or our belongings.

Front desk clerks. They seemed familiar with the sour, horrible odor in the room, he guessed it was the a/c unit. The room reeked of musty, sour, stench. Probably from the a/c. The shower/bath plumbing was loose so that water flowed out the back. Weird décor - some kind of fake black granite paint on the counter tops. Think Austin Powers wearing a nose plug. This place is a no-go zone.

The rooms were okay and good movies on tv I think its bullshit that after i paid for the 2 night i had to pay an additional 50 buck that i didn't know id have to pay till i checked in. Its stupid. It left me broke. The front desk clerk were rude and disrespectful. They are a shitty hotel staff. And the bath tubs floods and they dont give you enough towels because im sure they know it floods
Everything in our room was relatively clean, had a fridge (I only say this because a few months ago I stayed at a $350 per night hotel that didn't have them..???). The evening staff was not friendly or knowledgeable. The area is pretty sketchy, not to mention the half dressed girls running around in and outside of the building. Not a family friendly place at all. Only do it if it's your only option. And try not to stay on the second floor. Unless you wanna get a contact high from the smell of maryjane.

We really enjoy the Bar/Restaurant downstairs; Rio Bravo! The price is excellent for what you get. My room had a hole in the wall and the bathroom seemed a bit sketchy but overall it was fine, nothing to make a formal compaint about.

The rate was great, staff was friendly, and the lobby looked nice. The king sized room we stayed in had holes in the wall, a gaping hole under the bathroom sink that showed off the pipes and cement, and the tub's caulking was black from mold. The fitness room was straight out of the 80s- half of the machines didn't work and the one treadmill that did work overheated after 15 min and shut down. The hallways stunk of pot, the towels had holes, and the shower curtain didn't shut letting water vet all over the ground. The only saving attribute was the Mexican restaurant connected to the hotel had good food and even better drinks.

I didn't like anything about this outdated hotel I didn't like the mean ghetto girls at the front desk. With an unattractive attitude and that cheap red lips necklace. No plugs to charge my laptop or phone I had to unplug the lamp. The room smelt overpowering with potpourri. Bed was hard. The bathroom smelly. The blinds were a cheap way not to buy curtains. I will never stay there again they claimed they don't book through kayak and I had to show them on my phone that I did and they still made me wait over an hour I had to call kayak to call front desk before I can get this crappy room. Please don't stay here I beg you they are outdated and have no good customer service. It is better to stay at motel 6 at least you know what you're getting.
Partial kitchen very good , we only miss a tradicional oven, breakfast very good eith eggs, fruits, bagels, waffle ,orange and cranberry juice. Staff very friendly, I have got a free late checkout. Last day elevator braked , but take fixed it and took care of my luggage

They moved me to a studio becasue the bed was hard as a brick in the reg rooms so i extenmy stay a week but when i booked they couldnt keep me in the same room and i was moved to a one star type room .would have never stayed if i knew that was my option
