Location and cost-performance Showers could be better
The money, it was really cheap and (if you don't mind being in the heart of the red light district) it's a good location. The rooms are very basic and smelt like stale cigarettes.
The location of the hotel was excellent, and the shower worked well. The room was poor probably €20 per night would have been about right.
The rooms were comfy, comfy beds and pillows, good bathroom and awesome that check out time was at 11 not 10am Not being informed that we had to bring our own blankets was not cool, but worked out ok.
The staff humoured my desire to try out my german, but could correct me with english when it all went wrong. the code system for access to the hotel was a really good idea. very hot, but the weather was unusually warm.
Location and facilities are good value for money. If you are planning to visit the RLD then this is the Hotel to stay. Easy check in and out, excellent value for money. Access from the airport via bus and rail is easy, the hotel is located close to the rail station.
It was convenient for the shops and restaurants
Spot on, excellent location and excellent value for money.
Great design and interesting rooms. Great food. The hotel is not in the most scenic location in town.
the bed and the pilows
The design and spirit , difference of style variations poor ventilation in the front building
Amazing decor, fabulous food and a great spa. I loved every second of staying here.
Very good, very stylish and trendy
breakfast should be included in the price
What a great hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reception staff very accommodating. Concierge gave excellent restaurant recommendation. Spacious, well designed rooms. Amazing bar/restaurant area. And a good location close to St Pauli U-bahn station and Reeperbahn. Highly recommended.
Had a wonderful stay in hotel. I liked spaces and great design. Staff was very helpful, would definitely recommend it. That breakfast was extra.
The lounges, the bar, the Dedon corner, the restaurant, the room
Lovely design. Spacious and beautifully designed clean rooms, lovely dining area and bar. Helpful & friendly staff.
Clean, bright, friendly, comfortable and excellent location. A good choice.
room was ok for a double room and very clean poor breakfast but accetable
The room was immaculate and comfortable. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express in the UK but this German one was a class above The only thing that would have improved my stay here would have been free wifi. Surely that should becstandard across all hotels?
Good location close to city center. Room not very big but well equipped Due to its proximity to the red light distric the security access is very restrictive what is very boring. Parking is not dedicated to the hotel, you need to set your parking bill every day, boring if you have to do every morning. Internet is not free, you need to purchase a vouncher from reception, boring if you have to do every day!
Perfect location, walking distance to the old city center
Information Service and Non Smoking Rooms, fantastic! early check out, it could be 2pm
The staff were very friendly, layed back and helpful, the room was very clean. this is awesome budget hotel and is more like a 2 star. Rooms did not have a safe.
Central location Stained carpets, basic facilities, smelt horrible, no rubbish bins, shower leaked, no fire escape, etc etc!
staff were friendly, room was clean and despite its location it was quiet.
I liked its location and friendly staff Room wasn't cleaned during the stay.
It is on the Reeperbahn, so great for night life in Hamburg. The staff allowed us to book in at 11.30am, which was very helpful. It was very noisy at night - not an issue for us and it was obvious when booking that it would be, but definitely not good for families etc
Friendly personal, very good located Sometimes a little bit loud outside - but ok for this location (Reeperbahn)
Excellent location for young people who want to go out at night at the Reeperbahn. Cheap and not far from the city center, so it's ok for back-packers too. Cover the windows a bit more more, too much light in the morning. If you went out at the Reeperbahn clubs, the few hours you can get to sleep are in the morning:) Everything else was fine.
Rooms were clean and had a shower. Ideal for Stag do's. Teyn
The location to the harbour and city is one of the best features
It was very comfortable and clean and the staff were great. The location is right next to the Reeperbahn which sounds good but actually can be a bit seedy
The location is great, located very close to city center and to the Elbe with a very nice view. We asked for a room in a higher floor and it has been accomplished. Hotel bar on the top floor with a great view to Elbe and harbour.
The design of the hotel was good, rooms were great and had wonderful views and we had one of the best schnitzels ever in the bar when we arrived late on Friday night (service was excellent as well).
Sushi restaurant and room servise was good. No wi-fi in the room, just with a cable. Internet low-speed connection.
The spaciousness of the room I was allocated and free access to the Internet My room was a corner room, so I was surrounded by huge glass windows which were a threat to privacy! Also, perhaps because of the size of the windows, the room tended to be cooler than I would have wished
Fantastic views from the hotel bar on the 20th floor, good facilities for meetings, gym open around the clock.. Wireless internet not available in the entire hotel
Excellent innovative, well presented food style in David Restaurant, Great service in groundfloor bar, Excellent facilities
Nice location overlooking the harbour and its activities, convenient for S and U bahn and walks on waterfront and St. Pauli. Plesant quiet location and nice decor (semi maritime romantic). the room Captains class was very spacious and comfortable Coffee/tea in the room, or access to a less exclusive coffe shop.
Location. Breakfastbuffet no value for money.
Pleasant historic hotel with new tower room if you prefer modern feel.Next to rail or metro link so can be at town hall sq in 10min.Also city circular tour bus and harbour cruise tour are 5 mins walk down some steep steps.Only 25euro taxi and 30min to airport. Can get train too. If you like to sleep with the window open then you will need the hotel supplied ear plugs! There is quite a bit of road rail harbour noise but that is the trade off for such a good location. The closed windows are triple glazed so it's quiet enough when closed.Would happily stay again.
It was very quiet with good heating (in a rainy, cold period). Free internet was an attraction though having to renew your ticket every 2 days was a bit annoying. And it was very convenient to transportation and the waterfront.
Good breakfast. Tasty food and great view from restaurant and bars. Smallest Carpaccio I’ve every time eat.
Hotel has very convenient direct connection with airport by using S1 Bahn. City round tour stop as well as river tour are close to hotel. I will appreciate if breakfast will be included in room price.
The position near the water was great. nice friendly beer bar. Room was small for the price, and there was repairs being carried out
Nearnes to transportation . All of them, including interesting areas in the sourounding. At the begining It wass dificult to find the address, as It has no visible announcement. I came in walking from the Train station near by. and pass by with not notithing it. The internall access to the room wass measleading, both ways, to go to the room or to leave it, out of the building. They should be improved .
Staff in restaurant were very welcoming despite the fact we were delayed en route and only arrived as the restaurant was due to close. Wonderful dinner and extensive breakfast in dining room with wonderful view. Our booking was for a room in the historic part of the hotel. We were 'upgraded' to a newer separate part of the hotel which was in fact disappointing as it lacked any charm and the air conditioning was not very effective.
Very good value and good location
central located in St. Pauli, 10 min walking distance to metro, 5 min to Reeperbahn. Many restaurants and super markets also opened on Sunday within walking distance. Internet did not work in hotel room. After asking the next day, the reception opened a special room for me (but only when they were present). Reception only available 5 hours per day, therefore no possibility for luggage depository.
Very friendly and helpful staff. My room was of good size Feel it is little overpriced for the basic facilities provided.
Great internet facility convenient location for shopping and plenty of bars/cafes at which to eat. Fridge! No tea/coffee making facilities
Location is good, very close to the heart of nightlife. 5/10 minutes walk from St. Pauli station. Walking distance (or few Ubahn stops) to the port.Bathroom in the room new and clean. It is a very simple and basic accomodation; bath towels smell weird...
Nice and helpful staff
A basic hotel but very well kept and perfectly suitable for the purpose of our trip. If back in Hamburg for the same reasons would be more than happy to stay there.
Central for Reeperbahn, very close to St Pauli Football Stadium and the match build up, bars and food right outside. Had 'family room' which was two rooms, a shower room and small kitchen. Room ok although 2nd bed was a sofa bed. Shower head not fixed to wall but plenty of power etc
Quiet area. They gave me a room which was outside the hotel facilities.
Good location, nearby S bahn , St. Pauli, etc...Clean
The location was great for Reeperbahn, rooms were clean, big and great value for money! Nothing.
Cheap to stay, decently clean Rooms had twin beds, smaller than hotel rooms in the US. We were charged for breakfast in the morning despite no one telling us there was a charge and 1 woman working the breakfast area telling us it was free when we asked her. The front desk refused to accept that anyone said that and laughed at us as if we were crazy, despite the fact that we asked the woman working in the breakfast area if it was free and she literally said yes. Other than that, no issues.
it is close to everything, good and worst places(i mean sex shops) but we are not disturbed in any way, location is good for to reach anywhere you want to go, it is up to you to choose the places you want to eat and enjoy, you can find everything together in walking distance
Early check in Saund
Noise from the techno club downstairs until 9am in the morning.
Good food, very central and nice staff.
All very good none
Location in middle of the town, very good No everything was fine
Location, environment, ambiance, athmosphere, cleaniness No parking facilities
A friend of mine had recommended the hotel to me, but other than the location, I knew nothing of the hotel. I found it basic, clean, and very satisfactory. Even having a room overlooking the main street, the noise wasn't too overbearing
Good position. Nice staff.
we were only at the hotel for a total of 6 hours. that was just sleeping.
The hotel is convenient...staff were helpful
The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was great. Staff were efficient and friendly.
The hotel was central and the rooms were clean I am unsure if i have payed twice as i had booked the room with Booking .com but the hotel would not let me check in untill i had payed for the room. If this is the case i would expect you to refund the first payment. I have the reciept of you need it.
breakfast was very good for a 2 stars hotel, kea card system is very practice
The location was perfect. All the staff were curteious and efficient.
The Hotel is located near the city centre.
Location is good, My girlfriend has discount for free breakfast by ISIC card in IBIS hotels. But manager refused.
Clean, modest hotel, good situation. Parking garage just under building, near metro station. Wireless internet connection too expensive 8.90, and it is per pc not per room. Internet connection should be include in hotel price or be modest.
Available parking No aircondition
everything i needed was available location is so so
Location is good, close to either reeperstreet and fish market, good choice for a short stay bath room is way too small
Location was very good. Walking distance to the reeperbahn. Very good for clubbers. Good for 1-2 nights stays. The price i had was very good. (59 Euro/night) Check-out at 10:30 am in the morning was really unique and not comfortable. Bathroom was really small.
The staff on reception are helpful, friendly and speak english well. The hotel has a general warm feel about it, particularly in the lobby. My room and my friends room both stunk of cigarettes, even the duvet and pillows stunk, yuk.. not nice. This meant that despite my best efforts to keep the room warm the maid had to open the window every morning and leave open.
room was a bit shabby for the price they had no dedicated non smoking rooms
Proximity to the city centre.
The walls in room 103 needed repair and painting.
The location was ok Too expensive, room too small, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
The breakfast was vast but a little expensive - 9 Euros. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a very central location to public transport and the St. Pauli district which suits young travellers with cool cafes and bars. The internet in the foyer and wireless was not working for the first two days of my stay and staff didn't really seem bothered about it which was annoying as I needed it for work. They eventually fixed it after me hassling them repeatedly.
friendly staff, easy to find. breakfast wasnt worth 9 euros
Excellent location if you think spending time in Reeperbahn. TV didn't work, no radio, no breakfast..but you'll get everything by stepping out on the streets.
Conveniently located. The room was large and stylish. The bedsheets were not very clean although the room was. The entrance stairs could be too steep for some with heavy luggages. This is a primary location on Reeperbahn. Not advised to children and older people who need some assistance as the staff is there on a minimum basis. A good place for couples on a limited budget that want to have fun in the city.
The "Reepeebahn" charm of the hotel ie mirror on the ceiling in top of the bed. The room including the sheets smelled like cigarettes smoke while I asked or a non smoker room in the booking reservation in booking.com. Also lots of stains were visible on the floor and on the sofa. No toilet paper the first day.
Location - On the Reeperbahn close to all clubs and bars. Friendly staff. Great base if you party till late. Bars dont close on Sat night. On Sunday morning the Fish Markt opens at 5am and the party carries on. Rooms facing main road can be noisy - ear plugs are supplied by the hotel. No breakfast facilities other than coffee/tea, cafe's close by.
When we arrived with my boyfriend the hotel was closed and alothough there was a number to call the staff arrived after almost an hour with no rush at all!
Clean and spacious room/bathroom. Excellent location in Reeperbahn. If you spend your time in St.Pauli/Reeperbahn, this is a good choice!
Friendly staff. Decently furnished room. Clean. Good location in between a U-bahn and S-bahn station. Bath towels could be bigger and there were no shower gel provided. No lift.
the black cat! - washroom
Provision of earplugs (nice client friendly service - did not have to use them though, even not on a saturday night) Not very clean - I'm sorry
Helpful, friendly staff, great location and pretty good value. No breakfast, but there's plenty of options in the area. Would definitely recommend for a night or two.
Free parking, close to the nightlife and friendly staff. Good value breakfast.
Excellent price/quality ration, renovated rooms, good breakfast, nice and helpfull staff, free parking The hotel is located near the "red lights" district
Very central location in district of St. Pauli, right at U-Bahn station Reeperbahn. Staff was friendly and helpful, speaks English fairly well. Free private parking at the hotel, which is quite unique for such a location. Adequate free breakfast. Poor sound isolation of the rooms, small room and some signal problems with the tv. Some areas close to the hotel have hookers on the street that approach men quite aggressively. No problem if you know where to go to avoid them.
The manager was extremely pleaasant and helpful.
the surrounding area
Close to public transport and nightlife, good transport links, good location rooms basic
Ideal location for short break or business trip. Some excellent pubs with good food very near. Short walk to main town. I visited Hamburg to go to the Miniature Wunderland, and found this hotel ideal. The Reeperbahn is around the corner, and is not a problem. Staff wonderfully friendly. I would stay again.
Nicely appointed. Clean and the staff is great!!!! Noisy neighbors. The neighborhood is insane, but it's the Reeperbahn, what are you going to do?
