This is a 5-star hotel still for a 3-star price. Excellent stay for business travelers.
The location was excellent. good choice of food both in bar and restaurant.Good varied breakfast in nice surroundings. Windows could not be opened in bedroom.
Excellent breakfast buffet, helpfull and smiling staff
Very convenient to get to the main tourist areas. Excellent staff, very helpful. Hotel very clean and very reasonably priced. Would stay here again. Would have been nice to have had tea / coffee facilities in the bedroom, also I found the bedroom and bar area chilly.
Very nice location. Pleasant bar on the ground floor. Nice service.
felt they needed to pay more attention to replenishing the breakfast food eg we waited for 25mins for scrambled eggs on 2 of the 4 days
I do appreciate the hotel very much in comparison to other ones that we have seen around the area. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms are always kept clean. It also had a nice bar to lounge with very friendly waiter/barman. Excellent hotel altogther and will use it again for the next visit. Location-a bit far from the famous bridge, but since it was close to the tram, we were then taking the tram to go places.
Helpful staff, friendly
We found the staff to be very helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious. The size of the room worked easily for two people. The only thing that we didn't like was that the windows were locked and they could not be opened. In a hotel in Europe, with the smoking that happens in the lobby and rises to the rooms, this was an inconvenience.
It's a beautiful hotel, and I honestly felt at home there.
Clean rooms. Located strategically in the city centre, but in a quiet street. Helpful and polite staff
Hotel is in good area, close to all but a little more quiet. Our bathroom did not have proper shower unit. Tub and sprayer makes a mess.
The bed was extremely comfortable after a hard day slogging around the city The tiled floor carried noise
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were an excellent size, very comfortable and clean, and the hotel is just a ten minute walk from Old Town Square.
Lovely spacious rooms and bathrooms. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Breakfast would have been nicer with bacon and tomatoes to go with the egg.
beautiful design at lobby, modern hotel, clean, big room, nice and professional staff, excelent breakfast; the free pick up at airport they had at the time was an excelent help; great choice if you want to stay several days you have to walk about 15 m to center, but its ok since its in a quiet street and easy to find
Everything was worthy of a four star hotel. Ideal location. The staff was very helpful. Good selection of breakfast. Everything just fine. The extra surcharge just for the use of a sauna is weird for a four star hotel.
Very good location to Praha's sights. We were up grades from a superior double to a family room which made our 5 night stay even more enjoyable. Good breakfast included.
peace and quiet
We found the hotel to be very convenient for getting around and was in pleasant tree lined street area. Our room was very good with all you needed provided, and clean Staff most helpful , restaurant good and breakfast good.Free internet service was most appreciated. Would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was beautifully clean, staff were very good and helpful, food good
It is at a very convenient location. Also the staff is really nice. I would stay again when I go to Prague.
The room had a nice apperance and the breakfast in the morning was very good. The breakfast staff was very kind and provided us a tray to take food back to our room since we had a toddler with us. The location is OK...if you are looking to walk 1/2 hr., And figure out how to get to the city center on your own. But- next time I would pay the extra $50 to stay at a hotel in town. Parking is not a gaurantee...even if you email the hotel to 'reserve' a spot as I did! When we arrived we were told they were full!!! Fortunatly, it was a weekend and they allowed us to keep our car right in front of the hotel at no charge...although this was not 'secure' parking! But, it worked out for us- and there was no damage to the car! We also had a leak in the pipe in the bathroom... Not that big of a deal, we put the bathroom trash can under it and the hotel gave us a bottle of wine b/c of it- which was nice.
The room was very nice if slightly tight on space. The bathroom and shower facilities were excellent. Unlike many hotels in Europe this one had non-smoking rooms. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of hot and cold foods. Room service food was also good and not too pricey if you choose wisely. Staff was very helpful. We loved the location and neighborhood, It's a short walk to the metro and tram but very convenient to the tourist areas without being right in them. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as supermarkets and convenience stores. While not being the cheapest place one can stay it was a real value. We would definitely go back again.
Some walking minutes from the centre, but very quiet location and very good access to all public transportation. Breakfast was really fantastic and full with warm and excellent dishes.Dinner in the hotel restaurant was perfect, I tried fisch and it was really nice.Well trained staff, friendly, helpful and multi lingual tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
The hotel left a chocolate advent calendar as a gift on the bed which was nice. Very good breakfast in the morning that was included with our room. If you are willing to walk a good five to ten minutes to the metro this hotel is on the green line which connects to most of the major sites in Prague. The room stank of cigarette smoke when we arrived and was rather bland and poorly decorated, it could have used a sprucing up. We left the window open for the duration of the trip and that helped with the smell, however our stay was in December so it was quite cold. Expected more based on the previous reviews and on the fact that it was rated as a four star hotel. If you are looking for something that is right in the center of town this is not the hotel for you. Also, while there was wifi, it was rather slow.
Location, in a great neighborhood, with little cafe's surrounding the area, easy to walk to at night. Close to the trams. They shut off the Air conditioning in the night so you woke up hot and miserable.
Excellent location close to trams, which made getting about prague relatively easy. Excellent staff who were extreamly helpful and were always available to assist. This is a very clean hotel in a nice quite area with some excellent bars nearby. Try the Irish Pub (5 minutes walk) for a sucullent steak. (Cost about £45.00 for 4 people inc starters and plenty of Stella to wash it all down with). Would recommened this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Prague.
Location was great. Close to restaurants and easy access to the highway. Quite and noise free. Clean rooms. Unless you are there to sightsee and don't care about use the room only to sleep the place is quite bare. TV does not have any English channels nor is there any thing to do within walking distance
Nice bright room. Good choice of breakfast menu. Very helpful staff. Value for money.
excellent location within walking distance to the river and to all downtown tourist attractions, very hospitable staff, nice room, large bathroom, clean, pleasant place
Clean, comfortable room, excellent staff, excellent breakfast. All within walking distance of the sights.
Out of centre yet very convenient Experience incidents of very small ants (or similar) but not worth complaining about
Value for money and nice contemporary design the bar was not open
location no WIFI
It is in close proximity to metro and tram station. Just hour an hour walking to the Charles Bridge and Old Town. The air conditioner in the room is not functioning well.
very good location, very close to tram stop, very helpful staff ( specialy Jeff and Martin ...) rooms very well furnished, good breakfast only one chanel in english BBC, no other languages than tcheck like italian , french.... or for children or movie
Yes. they use rates totally diferent than the rates of the day. my diference was of 10€. They cheat people in the conversation rates.
Location and hotel security Thermostat in room was confusing
The big and light room with jacuzzi in the bathroom, and good breakfasts.
I would reccomend an electric kettle in the bedroom
Mid October chilly outside temperature during my Prague stay look not very promising but each time I entered hotel again cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and nice hoise vibrations make me happy and fell at home. The positive energy of more than 100 years industrial art deco design building, sensitive approach of team converting it to hotel few years ago and finally but most important, the team running the hotel and in-front-of-you staff do the final touch and great pleasure. I don't mind close railway traffic
The exercise facility was very nice. Good selection to choose from for exercising. The breakfast, although expensive, was a good selection and tasty. I felt that the hotel was the "bare minimum" when it came to comfort and services. The first day we were there, the towel warmer didn't work nor the plug in the bathroom for the hairdryer. On the plus side, we told the front desk and it was fixed by the next day. Our body wash in the shower was out for 3 days and never got refilled. We finally called downstairs to tell the front desk and she asked if they could just do it the next day. When we told them no, she brought us up a few little bottles to use instead. Heaters were turned up so high the entire time, we had to sleep with our windows open and our controls turned off to be comfortable. AC would not work. We told the front desk and they said they couldn't do anything about it.
Welcoming from the staff was great, but the next moment ask for stamps for my postcard, she tend to be a bit rude... but they are helpful, helping us to book the city tour, and room service amazingly fast and efficient. They don't refill those coffee and tea bags, we have to call them for it. A bit irritated though.
Very good. Some of the staff were not that friendly.
This is very comfortable new four-star in a location slightly outside of the main tourist centre but within very easy reach of it. The competitive prices reflect the location and the hotel is very good value. Free garage parking is particularly welcome.
Everything you need. The location and Hotell is perfekt.
very good location, hotel staff is really friendly and customer oriented.Breakfast is international and really good. I would stay in this hotel if I go gain to Prag no negative comments
The location of the hotel is good. You can walk to the city center in 20-30 minutes( 2 km). But if you like, you can take the tram just in front of the hotel. All the staff were very helpful.
Comfortable, well maintained rooms. The breakfast was good and had many vegetarian options which was appreciated Location is slightly out of the centre and can be slightly unnerving walking back to the hotel esp after dark.
The facilities of the hotel and interior decoration quite nice. The staff at reception did not understand clear what I asked for when I asked to check a tel. number of the airline company.
Staff is friendly and helpful, service is very good, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast and room service were good, and it's ideally located to see Old Town on foot. This was my third extended stay in Prague and this was the best hotel I've stayed. There are several good places to eat (including tourist fave U Fleku) and two nice bakeries within a few blocks, plus a little grocery across the street. Tesco is a 15 minute walk if you want to buy regular groceries or forgot underwear or an SD card for your camera. You can see the Dancing House from the breakfast room. i will definitely stay here next time I'm in Prague. Nothing comes to mind
Good service and breakfast well caterede close to metro and trams TV had many languages but only CNBC for English and CNN not working. nothing to relax with in room. No english newspaper not even Prague Times
Beautiful room, great food, location wonderful! I loved it all.
Trendy comfortable decor with friendly (very) helpful staff. Could smell the smoke from the lobby sitting room in my hall on the 4th floor
good location, friendly stuff more choices of meals for room service
excellent location; good value at this time of the year; comfortable; helpful staff This is not a complaint but there is no place for suggestions. I thought that the lobby was not very welcoming, especially the area with the bar. I would have liked to have a drink at times but didn't like the area. I also had a problem with the placement of the small mirror in the bathroom. It was hard to see and therefore unuseable.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Very plush and spotless. Friendly, helpful staff who always have smiles on their faces. Good sized well appointed room with huge bed. Cleaned daily. Hotel around 15 mins walk from both Wenslaslas square & Old Town square. Spot on breakfast with both continental & English. Cheap drinks from bar. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. Check out St Seriols church crypt (just around corner) for the poor soldiers who were killed during WW2, very moving. For a great, cheap meal turn right out of hotel, then right again, first bar/restaurant on right, 2 course meal & bottle of wine - £13, and good with it, wish I could remember it's name.
Breakfast was great - a lot of variety
The hotel is close to public transport and there are a couple of nice bars/cafés right around the corner. Good breakfast with nothing missing. Check-out could be at 12.00 or 13.00 in stead of 11.00.
good breakfast, gentleman at the reception very helpful for eats & visits no
Nice views from the breakfast room on the top floor
clean room., loved the shower! lovely and warm. good location too warm at night, breakfast only okay
Location - great access to public transportation Breaffast buffet with many choices including some hommebaked pastries Helpful staff from front desk to the attendants in the breakfast room There is nothing to complain about. The furniture in our room was a lille dated, but again the price was rught and the mattress comfortable
location cleanliness comfort
The hotel was of an excellent standard. It was far better than we were expecting. Our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day. Breakfast was of a good standard.
just staff who was working at the night time only.. hard to explain..anyway i don't like the reception operation. and even the room..
Good location - one/two blocks from the subway Namesti Mirù, central, friendly staff, very clean and confortable room, great bathroom, free wi-fi at the lobby and inside the apartment... Praha is a city with very cheap selection of hotels, but Galileo is a nice option for "budget with confort" travelers. The breakfast is good, but they could really offer a better selection of juices and breads. The TV is very small, but who cares when you've got an awesome city to discover...
Staff, breakfast and location Didn't feel like a 4-star hotel in terms of the room amenities
Helpful staff. Decent rooms. Free breakfast Beds. Location was a bit outside the center though still walking distance to most things(30 min walk to old town if you know where you're going)
The room was of 5 star quality. It was furnished beautifully. Location was also good whether you like walking or whether you prefer public transport. The bed could have been a bit more comfortable. We didn't complain but it had springs poking out of it.
Fast internet, comfortable bed, air conditioning, great location near shops and the metro, great customer service, great value for the price, yummy and varied breakfast Nothing- When I return to Prague, I will try to book this hotel again.
Everything was great, location, staff, breakfast and cleaniness.
Clean and staff were very friendly and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble. Very handy for local amenities ie; trams, banks, metro and food.Only 5 mins walk to Wenslaslas Square and the hub of Prague. Hotel Very quiet at night. The only - was the sink in room 204 (our room) was badly cracked but as we never filled the bowl up this was not a problem and the remote needed batteries but the night staff didn't know where they were kept. minor problems
Breakfast was OK, Location - close to metro, friendly staff. Would recommend for two people only (double) We booked triple room, although our sone could stay for free if we booked double. I confirmed over emails big triple room and was promised that. When we arrived it was small double room with extra bed in it. They just don't have triples. Plus, we had problem with lock, so my bag with shoes and souvenirs disappeared ( I hope, it was only lock and visitors problem)
Ideal location for seeing the city, good transport links, easy to get to and from airport using metro and bus. No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom, the photo's on the hotel web site are misleading, the rooms look very big but in reality the rooms are very small with 2' 6'' twin beds. Booked triple room be aware this means a small Z-bed as the 3rd bed.
this was a return visit to Hotel Tyl as we had enjoyed the whole experience before.it is out of centre,so quieter but within easy access to public transport&only a shotrt walk from main attractions lack of tea coffee making facilities in room, but as we had stayed before we were prepared for this .taking our own travel kettle etc.
Quiet place, peaceful staff, convenient location near the centre on the city and the metro
The location and the cleanliness were good. We were easily connected to the main train station and other parts of town. If you get a good price, the hotel is fine, but it is not a special hotel experience in any way. The rooms were dated, but not in an offensive way. The ventilator had no cover and looked very dingy. It was a typical 3* traditional hotel I would say that was adequate and priced for what it is, but unexciting.
The hotel is very well located, only a short distance from Metro station I.P.Pavlova. On my arrival I was greeted by the very charming and helpful receptionist, Eleana. From that point I really felt the lovely warm atmosphere that exists in Hotel Tyl.
The hotel has perfect location - just a step from metro and within walking distance from main touristic attractions. It is very easy to get there from the airport. The staff is very helpful and polite. And of course - low season prices are very, very good. Beacause of the "in the city center" location - the room was noisy. Also the room and bathroom was not perfect - everything seems to be "touched by time". Lack of all those small and helpful things that make your stay comfortable like mugs in the bathroom, sewing kit, pencil, free of charge mineral water. Air conditioning is operated manualy from the reception. The breakfast is abundant but a bit boring too. 4 stars for this hotel seem to be overated. The hotel deserves 3 stars - no more - and the low season prices are enough for such a level of comfort. If I had to pay a full price - I would be very disapointed.
Bright and clean throughout. Staff always pleasant and helpful.
One of the clerks was extremely helpful and friendly. The other clerk we dealt with as very friendly, but steered us to a local restaurant which was a rip-off instead and discouraged us from going down to the old town. Rooms were very nice, the hotel is stately and well managed. Relationship with local restaurant that did not benefit us. Parking was difficult and limited.
The staff was extremely helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was delightful. Slightly farther from the center of town than I expected.
Good and helping staff. Old spooky building with poor acoustics(makes you think about ghost stories and stuff). Too far from metro, about 15min. walk to Vaclav Sq. Breakfast could be better and should start earlier(bad for tours that start at 8:00) No wifi in the room. Not a good value for money. Definitely, NOT a 4-star hotel.
we had a promotion so we paid 120euro for the room for 3nights so u couldnt ask for something better. coffee in the room could be a big plus we came after a ride of
This is a hotel that offers everything you need for a city break, all at acceptable level but nothing is excellent - would make a 3star hotel. Location is not very good, but linked to the city centre by public transport. However nothing is unpleasant around the hotel. Staff are friendly enough, but can be more helpful. Furnishing is out of date. Breakfast is very good. Hotel only provides Italian style dinner. There is no wireless internet signal upstairs, though it is good in the reception area. If you have a rather limited budget for hotel (like 50-60 Euro/night), this hotel won't disappoint you. Not much, the carpet is quite old; no wireless internet signal upstairs (on the 4th floor).
Reception staff were courteous and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Inclusive breakfast offered a good selection of food and refreshments, in traditional surroundings. Located 15min walk from the main tourist area of Wenceslas Square, 5min walk from underground station, 3min walk from tram stop. Traffic noise was very noticeable, even on 5th floor - take your earplugs if you're a light sleeper! Shower temperature and water flow were erratic during peak useage times... Able to smell cigarette smoke from adjacent rooms and corridors, even though it was a non-smoking section. Discounted price was good value; would not necessarily have chosen the hotel at the normal price. Though not required on my trip, there was no visible disabled access for those who may need it, other than the internal lift.
Everything was very good, especially the hotel staff and the bathroom. The breakfast was delicious. The room was hot, we couldn't open the windows properly (the outside temperature was ok so I think it can get worse)
the reception staff were very accommodating and worked diligently to satisfy our requirements. The room was large and well furnished and quiet. a sleeping pen and a bathtub was provided for our baby. parking is secure but smaller cars only. the included breakfast was marginal and we suffered the only bad meal of our entire two week vacation in the Czech Republic on the first night of our stay.
Value for money Breakfast was minimal
The staff was delicate and friendly; the room was clean and well-furnished; all facilities and accessories were good. Wi-Fi works only from -1st, ground and 1st floor. However, it is not a big problem, since the lobby is very comfortable.
One of the best hotels we've stayed in so far! Excellent service by the hotel staff - very friendly. Great focus on small details that give that little extra. Staff doesn't hesitate to go the 'extra mile'. Would certainly recommend this hotel!
Extremely well run hotel, the staff could'nt have been more helpful, it was really quite impressive We had a deluxe room on the 4th floor, it was a little like being in the eves of the hotel and we didn't have a view as such, wondered if we had been put in this room because we had a deal, the hotel certainly not full.
Staff very helpful & friendly. Room spacious and very comfortable. Free mini-bar a welcome bonus and very much appreciated. The organised transport to & from the Airport worth while. Very enjoyable if a little expensive. Is about 15 mins to Wencelaus Square, which was not a problem, as we made good use of public transport (tram). Put a non-slip mat in the bathroom - a small detail, but important to older visitors in particular.
Luxury accomodation at a reasonable price
location in the quiet place but not far from main attractions of the city
Very helpful staff, complimentary mini-bar and airport transfer (one way). Food in the restaurant was far too salty which ruined the dinner we had, really poor for a 5star hotel. The package included airport transfer by one of the hotel's cars, this was only one way though and they wanted 1000crowns (£40) to take us back, I thought this was a bit of a cheap trick.
Everything. The hotel was lovely and quite at night with no noise disturbance. The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. There were nice little touches to the room, including daily fruit and petit fours, and champagne on arrival. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely, as was the double bath and large walk-in shower. All staff were couteous and friendly and went out of their way to help. Breakfast is served 'til 10.30 which allows for a cheeky lie-in. The suite was definetely worth the upgrade. The hotel Mercedes is very convenient and comfortable. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Wencelslas square, (30 mins from old-town square), but that gave us the chance to walk off some calories and see some 'real' Prague.
This hotel was clean and tidy.
We got married in Prague and the staff of the hotel and the place itself added a lot to the atmosphere of the wedding. It is a very romantic place to stay in, the hotel design is very beautiful, the rooms are amazing, very quiet place and a great view from the rooms. They decorated our room at the day of the wedding and reserved the library of the hotel for our dinner after the wedding, not only reserved but also decorated it and also put fire in the fireplace. They have very tasty and various breakfast. We have some misunderstanding with emails with the hotel staff, and the hotel provided free airport pickup since the misunderstanding was related to it. The minibar is free and provides a good choice of items!! Very very beautiful hotel! The hotel doesn't have free internet access which is very strange and uncomfortable considering the whole experience.
Comfortable beds, luxurious
The room was lovely and spacious. They staff was extremely helpful and attentive. I love standard German breakfast, which is what they served, so I was quite happy. The location is good for people that don't like staying in the middle of crowds. It was quiet at night and we were on the ground floor. My partner didn't like the mattress, but I thought it was fine.
our suite was spacious, very clean and unbelievably QUIET!!!! the breakfast was absolutely fantastic! There was nothing I didn't like!
Fantastic Location,Will stay again.Loved the memory foam matress.Staff friendly, hotel very clean & comfy.
We've travelled all around Europe for the last 5 weeks, and this hotel was by far the best we've stayed in so far. Excellent value for money, a large modern room with all you could ask for - free internet, dvds free of charge, two air conditiioners - one in the bedroom, and one in the living area - all for 55 Euros a night...fantastic!
Room was dirty, my bed was full of hair. And they did not have any new blankets to change it. Breakfest was a disaster, food was never changed. Once it was gone it was gone. Moreover there was no variety and i got sick because of the eggs. Definitely not a 4 star breakfest. The location was also quite bad, directly next to a club/bar and sex shops.
Room furniture, equipment, doors, etc. are brand new and avant-garde designed. Wi-Fi connection is free, plus extra PCs at the lobby with the possibility to print (e.g. boarding pass for flight). Details like bathrobes are excellent (like Wi-Fi, this is something that is not included in higher-priced hotels). Staff is extremely helpful and nice. Location is quite good, near Wenceslaw Square. I've been twice in this hotel and each time we booked two rooms. One of the rooms, the 104, is very small, while still offers all advantages mentioned above. The most direct street to Wenceslaw Square is not very nice.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The room was rather small and the window looked out onto just other walls and windows. There was also a a club nearby and I could hear the thumping base sound all night long and therefore was unable to get a good nights sleep.
Very good service from the hotel staff with clean and quiet environment. Room was slightly narrow.
Good location, clean Little expensive, small bathroom
Very good value for money, excellent breakfast and pleasant helpful staff. Good location little bit away from city centre but easily accessible on trams and metro. Also area good for eating out as better value for money than city centre. Outside shabby.
Many things, but perhaps particularly the excellent breakfasts and the obligingness of the staff. Not really, except perhaps that the room was rather small.
The overall was great everything is good , very near from public transport metro or tram , few minuts from the center , very cozy and quite . staff is extremely friendly and will try to help you in everything .this hotel is very recommended . Nothing
Pleasant hotel, good location, tasty breakfast
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful at all times. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and within easy walking distance from Wenceslas Square. We appreciated the courtesy kettle in our room and noticed from the reviews that this had been added in recent months. The one slight drawback over three nights was the similarity of the food available for breakfast. There was, however, plenty of it. This is a minor quibble.
Nice staff, good value for money We were suprised that thé parking in prague Was only for inhabitants and we had to pay for parking. Howevér, lunik has very fair parking rate, but only 2 places
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable and not expensive Far away from major sites
locality size of shower cubicle
The hotel was nice and new. The staff was friendly. It's 20 minutes walking from the centre and 5 minutes from the metro station. The breakfast was fine, but always the same.
A cheap, clean hotel with kind and helpful staff. Breakfast was satisfactory. I definitely recommend it! Although I visited the hotel during winter and though I did not have a personal experience, I believe an air condition would be necessary for the summer period.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Noir. The location is very central and only a few hundred feet away from the nearest Metro stop. The price was also very reasonable as it included a delicious breakfast and a fast Internet connection. The staff was always very friendly and incredibly helpful with all of our requests. Some very minor inconveniences and nothing that should dissaude anyone, but worth noting nonetheless. Like most old buildings in the Czech Republic, there are stairs in some very odd places. Once you walk into the room, you enter a foyer that leads to the bathroom and then there is a narrow set of stairs that leads to the bedroom. The bedroom itself is enormous, but if you are carrying large luggage, be prepared to haul it up a flight of stairs to your room! I also stayed in the top floor of the hotel, so as expected, it got quite warm. However, the air conditioning is more than sufficient to keep you cool once it starts up. Just don't forget to turn it on!
The staff were friendly and helpful The room was not well cleaned and the breakfast was mediocre at best.
Nice location - walking distance to everywhere, friendly staff, nice architecturaldesign, comfortable bed, great breakfast The architech was good, but the engineer put in automatic light that would turn on without apparent cause or turn off too quickly.
that is very close to the city center within walking distance from the main parts f the city very limited park places, if we have been informed correctly!!! and high prices...20 euros per day!! Also, the woman-receptionist that we met when we came to Prague on the 15th of August (Sunday afternoon) was totally rude, irritated and I was just about to call the manager hotel, unlike the three men that were the next days who seemed to be very nice, polite and willing to offer services
The location of the hotel (right in the centre of Prague), the friendliness of the staff and the good choice of breakfast the cooked breakfast was "interesting" but edible!
it was clean, comfortable and spacious. Great value for money and i would return.
The location is really good. The bed is quite big and the bathroom as well The staff seems not so friendly, no smile.
The service was good. There was always a helpful person to speak to with regard to queries. The hotel was not noisey, so sleeping was no problem The shower in my room did not work.
A/c Expensive laundry
secure car parking in hotel, cot for baby provided free of charge
excellent location, large modern room
We thought the design and functionality of the room was very good. Also the facilities within the room were top class. The staff were excellent and spoke very good english and were most helpful.
Location is very good - pretty near to the Narodni Museum and that central pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. Rooms are large and clean, bathroom is pretty large, lots of appliances inside. Staff is polite and speaks good English. Price is just perfect. Breakfast could be a bit better.
Good location, breakfast was excellent, room and staff great Auto park underground at 18E/per day was high!!
New hotel, 10 min walk to central square, nice and clean room, free internet. At check-in they did pre-authoriation on 400 EUR while booking price was 220 EUR. In the rooms we could't open the windows, breakfast very average and for four-star hotel could be with more choice.
Place. Impossibility to open windows, fusty smell and loudlly ventilation in the bathroom
central location, helpful friendly staff
Close to the centre, clean and modern rooms, very good breakfast.
Breakfast was excellent.
First of all I would like to say that the staff of the hotel was very pleasant and hospitable. But the most pleasant impression hotel's room made on me, as it was really nice and there was a feeling that everything is new and nobody stayed here before. There was only one thing that I really didn't like..and it was breakfast. I suppose that if the hotel has 4 or more stars the quality of the breakfast menu and products should be appropriate.
The location was excellent.
Very good location; 3 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square. Modern interior, heated floor in the spacious bathroom.
Good location, good staff, nice facilities, normal price 1. Some problems with breakfast: very bad orange juice, small glasses, supply interruption; 2. Switch off electricity and fire service (hope, that was an exception)
the rooms were clean and warm. internet access, we had to pay for it while on booking.com it was mentioned that it was free of charge in all the hotel
Excellent room, everything was brand new. Lovely deep red carpet throughout, large wall mounted LCD TV, mini-bar, safe in wardrobe. Nice bed with huge headboard. Bathroom is fully tiled and very well furnished with chrome shower controls and taps. Nice big sink, mirror and shaving mirror aswell as hair dryer. You get your own credit card door key, so no need to leave your key in reception when going out, which is nice! I had a choice of rooms, so got one with bath and shower. Although the bath was not full sized, it was still nice to have. My room was at the end of the corridor, so the outside was just a view of all the other windows facing in from the middle of the hotel, and therefore it was nice and quiet. The room has air-con unit with 15/20/25 degrees settings and 3 speed settings for the fan, so it's nice to be able to put it on the lowest setting for the minimum amount of noise at night. The breakfast was very good, with a choice of cereals, bread, rolls, butter, cheese, fruits, various jams and honey etc. Also had scrambled eggs and sausage (hot dog style), bacon and ham etc. The only thing I would say is that the apple/orange juice was watered down abit, didn't taste like 100% pure juice. This hotel is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk from the museum at the top of Wenceslas square. My tips are; buy a 24hr or 5day tram pass, costing 100/500 CZK respectively, look on the time boards at the top to see which number you need for the direction you want to go in. Go across the river and take the tram to the monastry. Climb the "mini-eifel tower" for the best views over Prague, then have lunch in the resturant on the way down. Also have dinner in the roof-top resturant at the Hotel U Prince in the old town square (opposite the astrological clock). They have a huge menu (over 100 pages) and very reasonable prices, best of all you get to look at the charles bridge tower, castle and the old town square whilst eating. Absolutely superb, and the Hotel inside looks amazing. The fact that they charged for the jacuzzi and sauna. This isn't advertised.
good location, quality of room
The rooms are big and confortable. I never expected a wide flat lcd screen as tv, great! The hotel is only a couple of steps away from Venceslas Square. Great option for making tourism in Prague.
it is close to the center the restaurant was to red
The room was comfortable and the location was great The charge for spa services was a suprise
it,s location, size of rooms , a good breakfast. no coffee tea making facilitys in room. no shower screen around bath
I did not suppose that the room would be so nice.It really valued the money i spent.
Friendly and correct service at the reception, room is clean and silent due to the tripple glass windows, 10 min by foot to the closest metro line that will bring you within 5 minutes to the old town, breakfast was very complete (no bacon but plenty of scrambled eggs).Very good hotel for the price.
very good hotel, clean room, daily towel change, friendly personell, good reception service, 10 min. walkingdistance from centre, complete breakfast, we would visit this hotel next time.
very good value for money
Superb room at the front of the hotel. Busy road in front of hotel but could easily shut out the noise from the room. Friendly staff. The multilingual head guy at breakfast greeted everyone as they walked in. Only 10 min walk to top of Wenceslas Square.
The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff was very polite and nice. I enjoyed my staying at this hotel and will recommend it to my friends.
center, near the metro expensive meniu price for hotel guests
just breakfast. Room is so so so small, i really don't know why it is 4 stars...
everything was excellent 1st class. Reception was most helpful and efficient. evening dinner was very poor. you need to revise your menu
proximity to metro station typical European hotel bed - rather flat & hard.
