The design is amazing. If you are an architect, this is the place to stay. This is also a great place to stay in LA if you are doing business in downtown. Not the best place to stay if you are on vacations. Better stay somewhere in Beverly Hills. Lacks a bit of comfort too, but nothing serious. The bed isn't as good as it should be, and there's a lack of privacy on the bathroom, which is all in glass. This is good for a lone guest.
the room is nice. location is perfect. Lobby needs complete make-over
It was a comfortable well-maintained hotel with a cool attitude. The staff were helpful, and the location well connected to other parts of the City. Wifi was definitely a plus!
Advanatges: location, value for money. Disadvantages: glass wall of bathroom make fillings as you washing in room itself. We found it wried. Expensive minibar, low position of bed and TV set. Poor room noise isolation, we heard everything what happening in corridors. Very poor restaurant downstears. After dinner we didn't tried to have breakfast (cream soup was very bad). Location, design.
Not much...but the room service for food was prompt...food was so so... The service wasn't very good...I called and asked for extra pillows and had to call again and even then it took them over 2 hours to get them to us. It was definitely over-priced for what we got..no view of anything but another building.
Very goog bed
Hotel was located just a few blocks from LA live area and restaurants. Very clean. This hotel was more trend than comfort. Bed was on the floor and bathtub was in the middle of the room. Staff claimed it was an upgrade!
Spaciousness of the room, location, design. The rooftop should be available to hotel guests and their guests... not open to the public. That was annoying. Draws a really bad bridge-and- tunnel type crowd. It wasn't cool, so we left. It would have been nice to be able to create some kind of privacy between the shower and the main room... blinds or something.
Very clean and tidy room, friendly stuff, close to subway station The shower was in plain sight of the rest of the room (glass wall) which is something that is only recommended for couples.
Front office staff were helpful. Far too noisy. Every car that went past can be heard plus endless police sirens etc. Easily fixed by double glazing. Also corridors and courtyard etc were not clean. Minimalist furnishing is fine but it could include another rubbish bin in bathroom and one more chair as there is nowhere to put luggage during your stay.
The door to the toilet in 837 creaked
It is at a good location. The decor is in a classy old traditional style. It is associated with a lot of history. Maintenance does not match the class: A light did not work. It was not fixed upon notification. The guest information binder was missing.
Historical, well maintained, beautiful hotel! Slightly small rooms, fridge would be good in the room.
The hotel was gorgeous and all of the staff members were very kind and answered my questions straight forward without trouble. Check in and Check out was very easy. I had difficulty confirming over the phone two nights before my stay.
The staff was very accommodating and the location was good. The tub in our bathroom was disgusting, needs to be changed out,
The hotel is beautiful. The Mezzanine rooms we used for our meetings were unbearably cold and made it hard to concentrate. I had to wear a jacket the entire time.
the worst and dirty hotel i have been staying ever .. just awful stay ..
The stay was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the bar was fun.
Beautiful architecture, enjoyed all of the history around the hotel and the design. Also our upgrade to a suite! ;-) No room service after 11pm. fail.
I enjoyed the history;the many photo's of celebrities ; the beautiful public areas and the restaurants .
The hotel staff was excellent and very nice. They were attentive and accomodating. The lobby and banquet rooms were beautiful. The common areas were a site to see. Great location for downtown. The rooms are run down and shabby. The rooms need a major updating. The furniture was old and worn. The bathrooms were small. The elevators were a nightmare!
Bed and pillows were ok. Carpet was in good condition. Bath tub drain surrounded by rust. Sink had chips. Toilet paper was very scratchy.
Booked the hotel and got a confirmation email. When going to check in at 11:30 at night I was told I had no reservation. After being in the phone for an hour with customer service, I was told my reservation was actually in Wisconsin. WISCONSIN?! Thanks for making me stranded in downtown LA at midnight. I will never use this service again.
parking was way too expensive
The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cookies were unlimited. I would come back. NO POOL???? This is LA! 85 degree and NO Pool? Seriously? Also parking was crazy high! $35 a night to park at a hotel that I'M PAYING to stay at is just stupid. There should be complimentary parking. Ecspecially because they don't even guarantee your cars safely! What am i paying you for??
Everything costs $$
$32 self parking ! Rooma not worth the price.
Staff was nice super expensive. homeless people were lined up outside in tents
Garden & staff Bathrooms & No pool
The hotel is extremely nice. The location is perfect in downtown. The staff members are friendly, helpful and are always there to assist. When we asked about a good place for breakfast they not only recommended a restaurant but took us there in the hotel limo. Our stay was super...! Bruce Having to leave.....
I liked the downtown location the price was good for that type of hotel. Free cookies at check in are nice but they didn't have any :( I watched some homeless person wipe their behind a block away on my arrival. The late night staff was grumpy and non-helpful.
The situation, the style, confort, the hospitality, the welcome, the services The breakfast was too simple, no real choice
the hotel was nicely redone and is in a good central location for downtown and events at staples centre. you can hear conversations from other rooms above and below you. there was loud music in the room below us that we notified the front desk about at 12:30 am-noise didn't stop. after asecond call to front desk they said they can't control all guests so we requested to change rooms if they weren't going to stop the noise so at 1:30 am we moved to another room. seems to me the noisy guests should be the ones moving or leaving the hotel if they can't be quiet after 11:00 pm!!!
Elegant and fashionable hotel. Nice rooms. Breakfast was the same everyday. Not an european style breakfast. Fridge didn't work. Bad room view on a wall. A bit problem with parking.
Location close to convention center and LA Live area. $14 per day service charge
The room has multiple sources of soft indirect lighting, including a switch for mood lighting circling the bottom of the bed. So it's very romantic, although maybe a little dim near the entry area. I really liked it. We slept great on the beds and the shower is really strong. It was a very refreshing stay. There was a continental breakfast included but we skipped it to stay in bed. Parking is literally next door, and 18 bucks per 24 hours is better than in a lot of places in downtown LA. My fifth floor room's view was the featureless brick wall of the next building, almost close enough to reach out the window and touch it. Not kidding. Like some kind of urban planning mishap. You get a little sunlight in the morning, like being at the bottom of a well. I was amused, but it might shock others. The AC unit had a temperature control feature, but it seemed to run too long before shutting off. The hallways leading to the rooms are not air conditioned at all, so when it's 100F in LA (like it was when we were there), it's 100F in the hallway. Housekeeping needs to obey the DND hangtag, seriously. -_-;
food at the restaurant no
Water wasn't running. Elevator wasn't working.
The location was perfect for what I needed access to. Staff were condescending and dismissive (particularly Javie) with very poor customer service skills. In the middle of my completely calm discussion with Javie about why he tried charging me twice for my stay (with an outrageous incidental hold charge), I was on the receiving end of the rudest "hold on" finger gesture when he decided that was the appropriate moment to take a phone call. Dark, stuffy hallways, dark rooms (the few lights that were in the room were dim and poorly located), broken down mattress, SPIDERS (killed three during my 7-day stay), and breakfast was weak (OJ, bran cereal, coffee/tea, instant oatmeal). Neighboring rooms were noisy beyond belief. I was awakened in the middle of the night several times throughout my stay to a screaming child, elephants upstairs and neighboring rooms blasting loud music on the featured Samsung Smart TVs. While on the way to the hotel prior to my stay, I was excited to see I could text the hotel to check in and ask questions. Microwaves available? No. This made leftovers from restaurants wasted. Could you provide me service and price information for your spa? No, here's the phone number so you can call them yourself. Truly disappointing and put a big damper on my first trip to LA. BUT, if you need a hotel that is centrally located, and the Milner and Biltmore are too pricey for you, then O Hotel is in a good spot.
I really liked how friendly they were and how helpful they were.
Our room was well designed and comfortable. The hotel's restaurant wasn't open over the 4 days we were there, except for a party.
Stylish and comfortable hotel. Appreciated the continental breakfast everyday. Wish there were more options for breakfast. And wish there was bottled water in the room everyday.
The location was great and close to everything in Downtown. Its a quick Uber ride to Hollywood. It has a boutique feel so don't stay there if you are looking for a hotel chain feel. The hotel itself is very trendy. It has a bar and restaurant downstairs. We also like the fact that you have to use your card to take the elevator to your room which makes it feel more safe and exclusive. The room was small but I suppose big enough for us 2. We used it mostly to sleep. The room is a little old and worn out but it worked out ok considering we paid less than the other hotels going rate. There was a smell we couldn't make out. It went away after we were there for a day.
Location The bathroom was too small 4 1/4 2x4 tile in length and width 1.5 width x 3 can't even stand strait in bathroom. horrible!!
That it was close to the forum we were attending The room was horrible and noisy and nly 1 saff member checking people in was terribly slow. The room was not what was shown on the internet! Super small and not worth the money
Rooms are cute, fair breakfast, central location Very small showers, no telephone in room
I stayed at the Milner Hotel while on a business trip to LA. The hotel is located within walking distance from my office. My overall experience was good but I wouldn't stay there for a vacation. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay and the best of the two was the King Suite, it had plenty of room and looked newer and cleaner. The other room with a queen bed was too small and looked older and not as clean. Only one of the two elevators was working and so it was a long wait for the elevator. At one point both elevators were broken and I stayed on the eleventh floor, so that's a long way up and down.
It was good value, unlike US luxury hotels, where breakfast and internet is not included. One day the room was not made up.
The location being downtown LA that's all. I don't like that online the hotel room looks 100% different than how the rooms really look. I don't like that the bed was broken right when we walked in. I don't like that they have a sink next to the television set and outlet system (very dangerous). I don't like that the bathroom toilet had urine in it already and the shower grout had hair and a sort of residue on the floor. I don't like that the room smelt musky and dusty. I don't like that the I spent so much for false advertising. All in all I don't like this place. And there is literally no other positive except for the location, that's it.
location to train and bus services no restaurant, bar had strange opening hours!
Great DTLA location. Clean comfortable, no frills.
the proximity to places of interest which helped my stay comfortable the state of some electrical gadgets are obsolete eg the A/C heater not functioning well, hot water not readily available, guests complaints not addressed, etc
That it is central. The bed was ok, and the room and bathroom also. The boys/girls at the reception were usually very friendly and helpful.i liked, that breakfast is included in the price. I liked the coffeemachine in the room! I did not like all the disposable plates and forks and spoons for breakfast and for coffee in the room!! Go green and use at least environmentally friendly disposables, or even better, normal plates and cups. I did not like, that most of the time, the internet did not work.
location is very good, the staff especially the director , are trying to help from their heart a bit more space is needed in the room the bat view from the window
The position in downtown close to the subway station. Not really nice position during the night; many noises from outside during the night.
King size bed, big screen tv and at kayak price 100 less per day. 200 a good price per day.
Nobody picks telephone at the reception. The front desk staff are either very few in number or they are not trained. I never got phone calls connected to my room inspite of calling the front desk manytimes. Due to this I had lots of problem.
the marathon, the food
The bed was very comfortable I did not like that we could not crack open the window. There was no pool.
The hotel is very nice, in front has a metro station and a drugstore.Macy's is aside and there is a lot of options of cafeteria and dinners near of hotel. The wireless internet is very expensive!!!
I enjoyed the location of being downtown, with easy acess from the freeway. The staff particularly in the cafe was outstanding. I did not like the fact of not fully disclosing the cost per night for the room; Exam. the room was 115. plus tax. Great. Terrible, Occupany tax approximately $16. Parking, 28.00 per day. If one would have known those additional cost up front, one could have made additional accomodations. The money was not the object, the surprise element of not disclosing the true amount. I felt like this was a ploy of the unknown!Plus, I am approximately 6'3 and enjoy a bath tub. This room did not have a tub, instead a phobic shower that one could not litterally move around in. This was majorily dissappointing, however, hotel should be about comfort and convienece. Other than that, the Sheraton would do!
Nothing I was over billed and nobody return my calls.
The staffs were very helpful and the room are very need and comfortable to live in.
Would stay here again for a stay cation. Near all great restaurants. The lobby is gourgeous. Interesting tech for elevators.
We stayed at the Sheraton downtown to be within walking distance to a hockey game at Staples Centre. The hotel location was great for this. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a renovated room which was very nice. The Sheraton hotels always seem to have the most comfortable beds in any hotel. The bed was the most comfortable of all the hotels we stayed at during our week long vacation. Linens and towels were great as well. We did not like the fact that we had to pay for wifi. A hotel of this star rating and price should have complimentary wifi for guests, especially since it is located downtown and I presume there would be many guests there on business. We also found that when we attempted web access without wifi that there was little reception on the 21 floor, so we were without web access that day. Our room was located 2 doors away from the elevators which was noisy. The water pressure in the shower was quite terrible.
Overall experience/ patio
It was very clean and the staff was very nice Nothing
I stayed 2 nights and returned home with bed bugs!!!! Called to request a refund and reimbursement for the HUGE cost of removing bed bugs from my home -- the manager was completely dismissive and rude, and refused to do anything at all. AVOID STAY ON MAIN AT ALL COSTS.
It was the Hotel Cecil, which has it's eccentric charms built in 1924. Older designed with bathrooms more in common areas than in each rooms as today. Post stay there did search about hotel's history. And in retrospective the oddities can be considered supernatural, Definitely felt a presents there but could not place it. That made the experience more charming. Felt more like hipster hangout can really thrive in this hotel. Even the dislikes weren't that horrendous, just knowledge that this was the old Hotel Cecil would have been nice prior to booking. Would not have swayed me from booking it though. Parking is an issue but found price breaks at other around the corner public parking places, had to pay approx 50.00 for parking for the 3 night stay- that should have been told prior to booking, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO PARK AT HOTEL. If you add that to the cost of the hotel stay, that might make some one stay else where due to price of parking.
The person I was with The hotel I picked
I did not. This was the worst "hotel" ive even been in, in my entire life!! customer service was garbage, very rude lady upfront, horrible attitude. small rooms, very dirty, roaches and bedbugs, rats on the hallway. My whole back is itching from the bed bugs.
Cheap. Lock on the door. Some rooms have bathrooms attached. USC is a $6 Uber away. Decent food within walking distance. The desk clerk flatly told us we had booked a room with a two-twin room with a shared bathroom. I had reserved a queen with a private bath. He had to poke around to figure things out. Thankfully he did. He told us we would lose our $50 security deposit for smoking in the room. So to find the room stinking of stale cigs was not welcome. The bed creaked. We had one white pillow between us. No AC in any rooms. The ceiling fan seemed to spin but we couldn't feel any air moving. The bathroom (we paid a premium to have) was Hong Kong-small. The H and C faucets in the shower were reversed and wrong--C should be on the right and deliver cold water, H on the right with hot water. Lawsuits have been settled for less. The TV signal in the rooms comes from a boosted feed. The breakfast is great if you still demand a cartoon animal on your box of breakfast carbs.
The only reason I liked this place is the location and the rooms are just decent for the price. Stayed at the hotel for 7 days so it's practical if your on business The staff could be way more welcoming and polite. One guy was pretty rude in particular when I inquired about Warming up some food. The wifi is terrible. I found myself at the startbucks down the street every morning. The fact you can't bring any guest into your room is inconvenient and there no mini fridges or microwave. It wasn't decent for the price but I wouldn't stay there again
Dirty and used towels in our room. Upon check out the front desk staff talked with another staff member and finished an entire conversation before attending to us.
Great value and location. Staff was tops. Clean room.
Location to the fashion district downtown
The rooms are virtually soundproof; very comfortable sleeping environment with European-style bed linens and lots of fluffy towels. The hotel staff isn't up to date on transportation options or what's nearby. They seemed to be confused most of the time.
the hotel was very nice loved the staying the safe deposit located in the lobby insteed of the room they should have safe in the room
Super expensive breakfast even if we had a "free" continental one included
location,and i thought everything was 5 star!!!!
The staff was very pleasant. It was a lovely hotel and I enjoyed my stay there very much.
Great location. Walking distance to lots of downtown attractions. Staff was awesome and very accommodating. Rooms are nice but small. No vending and no mini-store (Water, soda, snacks, beer, etc.) Closest store is 3-4 blocks.
I liked everything about my stay at the hotel.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good, particularly as you could walk to local restaurants. Swimming pool was tiny. Rooms very small.
Customer service clean friendly staff and hotel is definitely a 4-star Hilton in bed was very comfortable Did not have a fridge in my room
Cleaniness, TV size Location of hair dryer hanging in a pouch on the wall very odd and not correct.Difficult to take out and replace
Our neighbors were fighting and extremely noisy, yet nobody came to take care of the issue.
Really a great location. Room was nice. Staff was fantastic. Shower and bathroom was awful.
The location in the heart of Little Tokyo is ideal for a week's worth of adventures! The AC in the rooms kicks on very fast, and they also feature bidet-style restrooms. The executive suites are pretty large and accommodating. The public parking facility is also basically "connected" to the hotel, and is half the price and four times the size of Miyako's garage. Staff is very friendly, and if you are nice and courteous, you will find that they will go the extra mile for you! The walls were so thin that I heard my neighbor sneeze very clearly. I could also hear full-on conversations from other neighbors (not eavesdropping, just extremely audible). I felt badly for those around me because if I heard a solitary sneeze during the hustle and bustle of mid-day, I can only imagine what my coughing must have sounded like during some parts of the previous night. I should also note that the beds were extremely stiff and unforgiving, this may be a pro for some sleepers, however, depending on preference. Also, the actual walk from the public parking garage to the lobby with bags is sort of, "sucky," for lack of a better word. Especially if you're a girl in heels :( ... There lacks signage on the best/quickest route to Miyako from the garage, and the route is somewhat sketchy at night (again, especially for a woman in heels ... alone). Overall, if there is room, park in the hotel garage and pay the extra fee for safety and convenience.
Handy to lots of activities in Little Tokyo. Refused to give us an extra room key.
I traveled with my 3 teenage boys and we had enough space and room to feel comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early and supplied extra bedding within a few minutes of requesting it. A taxi was arranged for our travel to the airport and the front staff allowed my son to heat up some food. I was very impressed.
The rooms needed more light.
Great location in Little Tokyo with lots of good restaurants and stores nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is a bit dated with a musty smell. There was a panel separated from the wall.
Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Comfy beds. Nice deli and shop. Perfect location. FREE shuttle to E3!
The mattress and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean. I could tell the staff pays close attention to details. Simply beautiful facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great computer/scanner/Wi-Fi. The parking. We chose not to have valet parking due to the cost. The parking structure next door had a bit of a walk to get back to the hotel and signage was missing but we found our way. Narrow and steep driving in the parking garage. The breakfast was $23.00 which for us was high. I think it should have been in the $10.00 range. For the cost, it would have been nice to have a free continental breakfast. There was no microwave in the room. They have now closed the spa.
Convenient location to little Tokyo shops and restaurants. Thick walls (we partied hard and had no complaints from our neighbors.) Japanese toilets, Spa inside hotel, fast elevators. Not very spacious rooms, the spa was pretty expensive. For the price I paid I didn't get the kind of service I expected. We requested a spacious room, but our friends room was much larger.
The Miyako hotel is a comfortable, clean and well-run establishment. The spa offered excellent massages, as well as hot tubs and wet and dry saunas. The staff were impeccable. The location is around the corner from tourist destinations live the Geffen Contemporary and the Japanese-American museum, and the neighborhood is brimming with excellent Japanese food and shops. It's easy to uber anywhere from here. Downtown LA may shock some, with the numbers of homeless and the mix of sophisticated and gritty all together. That said, it's great to be in a neighborhood with culture and community.
The hotel itself is okay. It was clean and convenient. We had an unpleasant experience with the parking attendant and the front desk person. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that parking is full. The parking attendant told us directions to park our car. As we followed his instructions, we realized that the lot is a public parking lot. He didn't tell us about this. We asked the parking attendant how much the public lot will cost and he said he doesnt know. So he directed us to park at this parking lot without knowing how much it will cost. Then we went to the front desk to ask, and the front desk person is unsure either...why would you tell your guest to park at that parking lot of you don't know how much it will cost them?! And the cause was because the hotel's parking lot was full when we arrived and we arrived at 6pm which is not terribly late. Never coming back again due to horrible service.
Was able to get an early check-in. My friend left an item in the room and the hotel called to let me know they had it. Location is perfect as there are many restaurants nearby. Plus they have bidets! Enough said! Overnight parking is $30 but that's probably the going rate for hotels in that area so what can you do?
Wifi No breakfast included
My husband and I stayed at Lux after the concert at Staple Center. The hotel is right across the street from Staple Center. There are lots of restaurants close by too. The front desk could not find our reservation but I was lucky to have print out with me. Then, we had to wait until after 3.45 pm. to check-in. I wonder if the hotel don't have enough housekeepers .
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt well taken care of. Hotel is conveniently located to Nokia Theatre/LA Live and a ton of great restaurants! Rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely detailed. AC is a little noisy.
Room was spacious and clean with a great view overlooking Nokia Live. It was ready when promised and the staff was very accommodating.
One day parking for $44 is just insanely expensive as you can get all day parking for $10 with 5 mins walk.
Misinformed about parking. Was told it was free upon check-in and ended up getting a bill for $44 upon check-out. Manager said there was nothing they could do.
Friendly staff and spacious rooms. Asked for early check-in and they were able to accommodate the request. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the downtown LA area. AC was noisy
Staff - very friendly. Rooms clean. Having to pay $88.00 parking for 2 days. The light feature about having to put activate with my room key.
From the first day we came, the staff was very friendly and helpful with all our needs. Our dogs were given a warm welcome and the front desk accommodated us with recommendations on where to shop and walk our animals. We will always come back here in the luxury hotel for its staff and location. We liked our views, location, staff and walk friendly property.
Great location, great amenities, friendly staff. Its a bit pricey, but if you have the money, i highly suggest booking the hotel
Very clean, staff was incredibly nice, free water bottles
The room was very big and nicely done. It had all basic stuffs. The location was very good since just 5 minutes walk to Union station and so can go to Universal studious and Hollywood, kodak theatre etc in 20-30 minutes by Subway Metro. Airport Flyaway bus service from Union station also saved us a lot of money. So location was was very good if you don't have a car and dont want to spend money on CAB. The breakfast was very basic, only bread, butter cornflakes. Should have included atleast egg, sausages etc.the front desk and reception was not courteous. The person did not even smile when we check in and the behaviour was quite rude. However, in the morning another lady in front desk was very helpful and gave good tips for travelling. Overall the behavior from staff was not good.
Excellent location. Very close to Union Station.
The room size is good. Very good behaviour of Daniel & Shane as receptionist. They were very cooperative in all aspect. The area we did not like. Also the breakfast items needs improvement. Juice should have more choice as well as bread varieties should include croissant.
Everything is in place and in time
Good location for my needs on this trip. The staff could know the area better---especially possible local eateries.
This hotel is perfect for those traveling by train to LA. Location is perfect with many good places to eat nearby on Olvera Street and Chinatown. And Philippe for breakfast and French dip sandwiches.
Seemed rather pricey for the location and type of hotel. Maybe I'm spoiled by the hotel deals we get in Laughlin.
nice large room, friendly and helpful staff location, felt very unsafe and had to get a cab the 4 blocks from union square station at night
Good enough to spend couple nights. Very strange WiFi. Not easy to connect second time. Old fashioned rooms. Poor breakfast.
It was clean and the staff very helpful. The location close to the train station. The breakfast was nice too. The hotel is a little bit expensive for what ir offers, but is the only one in the area.
Views were perfect, great dining, walking distance toetro Can be confusing when walking around, a little pricey on the breakfast, but the food was great,
"Complementary" wi-fi wouldn't let me connect under any circumstances! Very frustrating when traveling for business and connectivity is an essential need!!!
Everything sense I checked in the stuff was helpful and very nice I was there for my birthday weekend and they just made it awesome.
Very beautiful, cool building. Room was very comfortable. Great view of the city. Not really near any tourist locations.
Very luxurious when walking in. Room looks clean but there was dust in bathroom and I saw fingernail inbeteen bed and nightstand. Phone was not plugged in and did not work
Cool building, nice facilities. The view is amazing and the location is a short ride to good food areas like Little Tokyo. Bathroom was tiny, there was a small piece of gum stuck on the carpet in my room.
I love everything about this hotel ,great staff great view beautiful hotel
The location was convenient to the end purpose of our stay. The staff were poorly trained. We didn't deal with one person who seemed to even act like they cared we were. We travel a lot, and the way the staff behaved put them in the bottom 25% for customer service skills.
Clean, modern, friendly staff (at least the ones I had contact with). Convenient location for LA Live events obviously, which was our reason for staying here. A bit overpriced if you ask me. The parking is absolutely ridiculous!!! $42 a night! I've paid less for rooms! For the price you pay to stay here parking should be free or at best a minimum fee for guests since there are no alternative parking areas. Room service, way overpriced as usual but the added fees and taxes are ridiculous and the food is just ok.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. It is a very nice hotel, and we had a lovely stay. Met all of our needs The staff at the pool were a bit rude and not attentive. Took about 45 minutes to get our drink and food after we ordered it, and no apologies were given.
Staff is friendly and effecient.
While the staff was outstanding, the peace and quite was priceless, especially with the chaos of LA Live! The mattress was a little firm for my liking, but the bedding was exceptional!
Everything is GREAT! Except parking expenses in the area. Try not to drive if possible. Brian
Staff at check excellent. Location next to Staples Center. One block from the 'Pantry' historic diner. Ordered lamb meatballs at the bar and they were barely warm. TV in room has mostly grainy low definition channels. Scanning room key in elevator to access floor worked after the third attempt. I won't stay here again. Expected more from this brand.
The room was nice and bed was comfortable. The parking is such a rip off. For $42 I almost wanted to go and sleep in my car.
Close to everything downtown and very Good Breakfast. I felt the parking should have been included with price I spent on the room!
Restaurant great for breakfast; gym was GREAT! Room comfortable and decently appointed. Bathroom a bit Spartan
Access to downtown area Parking cost
The rooms were nice and clean, no noise from the other rooms. service was amazing. Security and hotel transportation was amazing. Best memories will always stay of the first impression that I received when visiting Los Angeles. I give it a five star
Kitchenette, confortable bed and walking distance to Staples Center. Parking was expensive
Breakfast lounge was excellent. We were able to check in very early by taking handicapped room. Wifi was good. Room layout was nice and residential aspect was nice. Didn't have to prepay. Microwave didn't work and they didn't have a replacement. Coffee wasn't replenished.
great location for Staples Center or Nokia Live. Shopping nearby too. We had an awesome room with a great view! The staff was so friendly! The breakfast buffet was good. The breakfast room had many couch areas as well as tables and chairs. No
Location is good. Rooms are big Not worth the money. No choice for breakfast, they are offering plastic plates and forks for the breakfast
Delivered stylish service and amenities without sacrificing the professionalism of a traditional hotel. Downstairs restaurant particularly good. No closing door on bathroom is highly awkward. Not cute if someone joins you in your room.
Great place. I like the Ace. Cool rooftop bar. My only hang-up is that there was some serious construction outside. I would have liked to have known this ahead of time. I'll definitely go back after the construction is finished.
The restaurant was great. The beds and linens comfy. City feel is exciting. If you have an eastern facing room I hope you are a morning person.
everything besides the noise i stay at this place alot and most rooms i've been to are subject to alot of construction noise. such a bummer....
