The excellent proximity to Hollywood tourist sites and very close to metro train station. Friendliness and help of staff.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location a block from hollywood blvd and the underground station. Very spacious room with nice floors, tv etc. Towels chlorine smell rathwr than fresh detergent
The service are excellence. Mr Paco is the most helpful. Na
Good location, with free parking.
This motel offers a good ratio value / price. Very well located (not far from Hollywood main points of interest). Free parking for our car. Excellent croissants for breakfast.
large room, cozy beds, sofa also! internet connection was too bad
Location, next to Hollywood boulevard. Roses round the pool. Facility. The description of the hotel in booking was false. There are no facilities, that were mentioned in the description. There are no any plate, fork, pot or anything of the kind to cook, only plastic glasses, though there is a microwave oven.
in the first room we found little bugs in the beds after the 1st night. Could change room, 2nd one was okay but our confidence was gone. Old room was given to tourists the same day. When did they put some chemicals to kill the insects???
Very friendly/professional staff. Quiet location. Room was clean. Great working AC unit. Free breakfast. 5 minutes from Hollywood Blvd. I always choose to stay here when I visit LA. Highly recommend! No iron/ironing board in room. Not enough parking spaces. That's about it.
We are a family and really enjoyed our stay at the HCI. The staff was everytime helpful and friendly. The location is close to all attraction of Hollywood. What my wife liked most, was the arrangement of roses around the pool, a small oasis. we were totally satisfied and would come back to stay there.
I liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. The room and the bathroom were outdated, but it wasn't a real problem, everything worked fine.
Very helpful staff and great location. Quick access to Universal Studio, Hollywood walk of fame, Koda and Chinese theatre, and just 5 mi from LA downtown. Also, free parking is a bonus.
The location was convenient to where I needed to go for the time I was there. There was nothing in the room to tell me about wifi, and I just never bothered to ask at the desk. Parking is very tight, but free. The motel is in a bad part of town. Several cars of homeless people camping out on the side street below my window. Lots of street noise and in the morning a s-load of trash strew about on the sidewalk. I just kept my shutters closed so I did not have to see. Rooms need new furniture, light fixtures and paint. Really looks run down. Pool area surrounded by bright orange fencing makes it appear to be a construction zone. Worth less than $100 a night for sure.
It was a very fine hotel for a few days of travel. The first room we were given had fresh stains on the mattress. When we called down, we were accused of "touching stuff." But were then given a nicer room, despite the absence of an apology.
I liked location and generally it is cute hotel to stay. I would like the toilet and bath facilities to be cleaner. Some hair were found there when we arrived. Not so nice. Breakfast was good. But may be some variations in meal would be great.
The Sahara is in an excellent location, offered many amenities and represented great value for money.
Very helpful reception staff. Extremely reasonable for the centre of LA. Not in the best part of Sunset Boulevard, although it's fairly close (20 minutes walk) to the main tourist attractions. Breakfast is served in the lobby with nowhere to sit.
Great location, the staff has been real friendly and helpful and the rooms are good.
Room was comfortable and clean, people were nice and helpful. Location was good if someone wants to to see Hollywood. The bathroom was rather tiny and the AC noisy
room was clean, basic, staff was OK but not informative. street noise at all hours of the day
Rooms and facilities were clean and well-kept. The pool at the center of the hotel looked inviting. Front desk staff was incredibly unfriendly (but that's just one person). The location of the room on a very busy and loud street was unfortunate - no sleep without earplugs, and you had to crank up the volume on the TV all the way just to hear over the street noise. I assume the rooms on the other side of the building are not as loud.
Very central to get to places of interest ie Hollywood Boulevard A bit of traffic noise as the hotel is on a busy road
Staff was very friendly. Location is good.
the stuff was very friendly and really helpful with everything we wanted. Free parking. Clean room. the internet didn't work in the room but only in the corridor. The neighborhood didn't seem safe and nice at all although it is on a central avenue. there is not much to do around the hotel in the evenings. you have got to take the bus first in order to go to a subway station, but the bus stop is close to the hotel (5 min walk)
Under 100 bucks The toilet didt flush right, jackhammer started at 8am and nobody was at the front desk when i tried to check out.
I had no issues with this hotel and stayed here for a week. However I always adjust my expectations to what I pay for... Of course it's not the Ritz Carlton but everything is very convenient and my room/bathroom was very clean at all times. It is true that there is a little (old) odor when you first enter the room. However this hotel is built in 1927...
The clerk was friendly and very personable. He was a delight to deal with in checking in and out. The front facade and doors are lovely. The rooms are VERY bare. They seriously have not changed much with any modern upgrades. The mattress was historic as well, along with not a fitted sheet, but a flat sheet simply thrown over mattress. The mattress corner looked like it was drug down the street, as the edges were tattered as least on one end. No phone in the rooms, very small bathroom with a changing shower temperature while you are in the shower.
The hotel front desk staff were very respectful and helpful. room was a bit cool and the little heater in my room didn't work
This hotel was a disappointment. We had to check out one night earlier than planned. The hotel is still under going major maintenance, the rooms are stuffy and carpets are dirty. It was definitely not worth the money. The existing ratings and reviews are fairly misleading.
It's okay I understand this place is old but overall I did sleep good. Mini fridge is great. They did a awsome job refilling shampoo and soaps. Clean towels. Shower temperature went super high when others are using the water. Yikes hot lol. Good news is no roaches. ants yes but it's not omg bad just a few.
Price, friendliness of staff and location No elevator or continental breakfast.
Centrally located Stale smoke smell
Small bathroom and had mold on the tile. The pillows were hard. Old. Will not be staying there again.
I had to pay for parking one car is $10 second car was $25 dollars.
Nice clean hotel. Helpful staff. Good value for money. Good location, nice view from the window. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms, although not very fast. Intense traffic make the rooms not very quiet. Awful coffee from the machine. Slow internet.
The location was nice and it was the only reason why we even considered this restaurant. Misleading website! If we knew what we know now about this place we wouldn't have made reservation even if it's at the best location. There is nothing to like about the stay.
Very poor breakfast.
One of the best things is that this hotel is very close to the metro. The room was very good also. no.
Near to the Hollywood center and Metro Station
The price and location are great! Free parking was offered and there is good Wi-Fi Connection in the rooms for free. The breakfast has really improved from my last stay. Ground floor rooms are quite not sound proof, and noises from the outside could be somewhat disturbing.
The complimentary breakfast was very good & the reception are helpful.
it is located in hollywood region of LA and within walking distance to hollywood attractions but LA is a big city and you need a car to visit the other areas . the hotel has a nice small open air common area where you can have breakfast and watch the small pool. breakfast is poor and there is only one table to eat on so be prepared to take your cereals to your room!
Our room was given to someone else but at least we still got a room with a King size bed for the same price. neighborhood around the hotel was dilapidated
The full breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Walking distance to shopping and tourist attractions. You can also catch the metro right across the street. Could hear sirens several times through the night. Not the best area of town but we felt safe.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast and the coolest sign in Hollywood!!
The accomodation is quite ok. Simple, but with a lot of nice lovely things made to be a little adventure. Hollywood downtown is not a place you "must see" in details behind the curtains.
great place for 2 couples to stay.
We stayed in "Le petit suite". You have everything around you to have a nice stay, little kitchen (if you want to cook yourself, what we did!). Nice little sofa witch satellite tv. The location is good, to reach everything loud AC
very private, friendly and well cared for place, felt very much like home from home, highly recommended.
The feeling of being in a luxury home. Not at all like a hotel. The most comfortable bed on the planet.
It was nice to have a little 'home'from home' rather than another hotel. The place was really sweet an dlocation was good for exploring Hollywood, just minutes from Kodak theatre It was a little tricky having to negotiate the double bed which was in an alcove so meant climbing over partner to ge to the loo in the night!
Hotel is located just off Sunset Boulevard so an excellent location to see the sights of Hollywood etc. The suites are beautifully presented and the staff are so welcoming it feels like being at home! I would certainly highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit LA.
Location , kitchen style
The private patio
We were initially surprised at the accomodation location, ie not at all glamorous. Then again, this is Hollywood, not Bel Air or Beverly Hills. Villa Delle Stelle is one of a few houses/bungalows located amongst other houses on a residential street, ie it is not part of a complex. The street itself is nothing special but the location and accommodation were excellent (between Sunset Blvd and Hollywood) so great for doing the Walk of Fame, Hollywood sign, Chinese Theatre etc. The Villa was unique and beautiful in it's decoration, with all the comforts of a home. It is not a traditional 'impersonal' hotel which is what we liked about it. Would recommend if you're looking for something that little bit different - living amongst the local Off street parking in front of the Villa was very tight for our Ford Edge jeep. Anything other than a small-ish car would have a problem. The owner (Brogan Lane) let us park outside her house though, just down the street.
Great location and price. Pleasant staff. Very clean. Surprisingly quiet. Long flights of stairs to room. Very slippery tiled shower floors -- I fell! $2 extra for towels.
Great breakfast, and very clean all around. Super helpful and friendly staff. Lockers in the room for your valuables and a really soft blanket! The beds were pretty good and there were sockets in between each bed with room for about 6 plugs. Everyone showers in the morning so the water gets really cold. This is not their fault though:)
So, to start off, let me say that this is not a hotel. It's a cheap way to share a room with seven other people and have a little base of operations to explore from. The thing that impressed me most was how clean it was. Every time I went anywhere in the hostel, there was someone cleaning something. I felt very comfortable in that. Also, having a lot of internationals around makes for great conversation. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great stay overall! The only thing I didn't really enjoy as much (and this really couldn't be avoided) was sharing a room with 7 people. Not that they weren't nice; just the awkwardness of not having much privacy and trying not to make much noise when you come in late or head out early. Other than that, it was great.
The staff and service personnel were outstanding and friendly. All facilities and the room were clean and well appointed, like-new furnishings everywhere. Management handled all my needs with courtesy and respect. I highly recommend this establishment to others looking for a home away from home, and a happy atmosphere. I have stayed in may places in West Hollywood and near the strip, this is the best value for the money. Breakfast took a little too long to prepare. People on the move would not be able to wait for the service, although the food was excellent.
