The hotel was a great value. It is in a older neighborhood but that doesn't mean it's a "bad" area. It's right by schools and the Airforce base. Lots of military staying here which got rid of any uneasiness I had. Very clean, I like the tile floors better than carpet that's usually in a motel. No pool but that wasn't an issue since we swam all day at Aquatica in SeaWorld. Beds were very comfortable. And the staff was awesome! We had a couple problems that weren't their issue at all but they helped us out anyways. Aldo were very helpful in telling us where everything from Walgreens, to the bank, to restaurants were and gave me maps and info for the Alamo!
I have never been to a hotel where the people were so nice and helpful before. I couldn't figure out the tv and the manager came to my room and helped me out. The room is super cute, clean, upgraded and comfortable!
-The rooms are very rustic and impressive for the 60$ a night pricetag that they had. -The bed is very comfortable, as are the pillows. -The breakfast is pretty standard, however the breakfast room is very welcoming. If I had been here longer, I probably would have studied or worked in the common area. -The room was very spacious. It did not feel like a bed cramped into a spot with a table thrown in. There was a clear separation of family/study room and a bedroom. -The bathrooms are clean and spacious (we were in a handicap room, but I'm sure this is true in other room layouts) -Staff was very polite to us. Felt welcomed. -TVs are good quality flat screens, rather than older boob tubes. Small, but that's not an issue. -Bed could use a thicker comforter -Rooms were a little hot at first. There is only one air unit, and while the room was very nice it was also pretty large. This caused air circulation in the recreation area/entrance to be a bit difficult. The room took a couple of hours to cool down to a comfortable temperature. -Maybe a couple pillows more in each room. There were only 2. -TV is a bit small, Wi-fi in room 106 can be a little spotty. These are minor complaints, more of suggestions for management to make the hotel nicer :)
The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable The porch was very nice as well. Having the pool right out the front door was so awesome. Overall a very good place to stay. The wooden floors are just too loud when walking around late at night coming back from being out.
Everything was perfect. It was friendly and welcoming. Room were always clean with clean sheets and towels.
Just friendly office clerk. Took hours to cool room and that's because we arrived at 9am woke up to HUGE roaches in the room. Did not look thoroughly clean. Good thing just need for a quick nap passing through. Left at 5am.
I loved how cozy the room looked. The bed was comfortable and the staff up front was SO NICE! It was by the highway, so it was pretty loud. Also the AC unit was so loud I had to completely leave it off for the night because I woke me up every time it turned on!
We especially loved your beautiful pool!Staff was helpful.
There were 2dead roaches on the floor. The shower drain was clogged.
Trees Porch was wonderful
The rooms were clean and very comfortable, I love how they offer HBO channels and the swimming pool was great, it was a very good experience overall
I loved it here. There was a bug in the room, but given the climate of the area, it's not the hotel's fault, it's just how the weather is in the area. The rooms are great, the bed was comfortable, bigger than we expected, the staff was very friendly, and I would definitely stay here again in the future.
Expect more of a condo room then your usual hotel(as u can see in the pictures) It has country style themed rooms. We really liked this place! Your std room came with a living area with TV & also another TV in the sleeping area. Each room has a small patio & chairs outside your room! Our room was facing the pool playground area which was nice. Just make a call & let them know if u want to be pool side or have kids & will need the playground! If your one to take advt of free breakfast it consisted of coffee, milk,OJ,cereals, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, pancakes, sausage & yogurt. I had zero problems. The staff were all friendly & room was great! We'll be back
Very clean, excellent location..friendly staff...
prompt attention to correcting door handle problem
yes, there was no radio or alarm clock. no shampoo or cond. no amendities at all.
The staff was nice and the price was good for booking a day before. I like that it is close to market square so you can walk over. The river walk is about 8 blocks away with we walked also. This save us money on parking. The hotel is not clean. They need a better cleaning staff. Mold in restroom. Towels with hair. Bed was clean thankfully. Floor is dirty. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night but fine in the day . I would advise you to get a room toward the north side....rooms 120 to 140. It seem about to be safer.
Well that the WiFi was not free. That was the only bad thing about it
Everything that I did was near by.
Free parking, huge beds and TV, not far from the center, cheap price. Bathroom very clean and discretion. Dust outside of one room, in the common hallway.
The hotel location (near the Mercado in Downtown San Antonio) and the reasonable room rates were good features. Houskeeping service knocked while we were still in room (10:00am), but did not return to make up room. Not discovered until we returned to room at 10:00pm.
We enjoyed the location. We could walk to a trolley stop and go most places on the trolley. There was no carpeting.
Overall the motel is excellent! My kids wasn't able to use their laptop no router working.
check in process was good, the guy in the front desk was nice and didn't have any problems over all .. next morning even invited us to go have breakfast which was nice .. i would definitely stay here again.
Staffs efforts in assisting with issues and needs. The option for a breakfast bit in the morning. Parking lot, curb, walking paths cracked, uneven, wet, trash. Room not completely cleaned, maintained. Bathroom issues (Door falling from hinges, faucet to shower valve not working, tub not completely cleaned), room phone not functioning, bed too close to the wall AC unit. Pool access seemed unmanaged. Capacity was met with kids alone with limited supervision by adults. Too dangerous for us to even be in the area of the pool.
Hotel itself was in poor condition, bugs everywhere, my sheets were wet.
The staff were wonderful Fridge door was being held up by a coat hanger and didn't work,, carpets were very dirty and sticky
The hotel was near all the attractions which was awsome without having to drive too much Everything was fine, a few crickets but no big deal
It's ran down, it's not called Super 8 anymore, our reservation wasn't found (thankfully Kyak sent a receipt showing we payed for it), the room wasn't cleaned, the bathroom hadn't been clean, had 2 towels (the rest were dirty), someone else left their room keys in the room for a different room, the room phone didn't work, there were a bunch of homeless hanging around, some doors had kicked in marks, you can tell people were using the place as a hangout spot. It was a terrible experience, and being someone who is from a rundown spot in San Antonio, I would NOT choose this hotel again.
The location was great, was near so many attractions!! One room smelled like smoke, and account was not cooling the room.
The location was good for access to downtown/riverwalk and freway access the sink in the batroom area did not drain well & there was a problem with the amount of money charged to my debit card & I had to make a couple of phone calls to get it straight.
i liked the location because if wanted to walk i could walk to the placese that we needed also easy acess to the freeways. the freeway was to close
It is centrally located to major highways. Things are falling apart in the room; all is outdated; breakfast was not adequate.
The breakfast was good. We arrived to a room with no bath towels. I asked the woman at the front desk for towels and she gave me two. I explained that there were two people in the room and asked if we could have more. She appeared agitated and said she could only give us one more. I left confused as to the towel ration. The sheets on my bed were stained. Also, after approximately 15 minutes of brewing and only half done, I finally gave up and turned off the 4 cup coffee maker in the room.
No remote in the room, no trash can in the room and 1-ply toilet paper. Towels were small and low quality, but the room was inexpensive, so you get what you pay for.
Needs to be cleaner and better maintenance of the rooms
Maybe location would be the only saving grace Rooms stunk , mold in the shower ,no bath soap or shampoo, disgusting dirty bed sheets and pillows.
Nonne Car aren't secure you have to be a awakening every other hours
It was close to the riverwalk Location was surrounded by homeless people, cockroaches in room, noisy morning due to being remodeled and rooms didn't appear ready to be used. The lamp in our room didn't work.
I liked that fact that after having a small problem with our first room they quickly resolved our problem and moved us into another room. The first room we were assigned to the air-conditioning didn't work properly it wasn't cooling much.
Good value for the money. Staff was helpful and room was clean.
the room stank of cigarette smoke, the bathroom door was kicked , in general the whole room was frightening
I like that I could cancelled my reservation, the manager there accept to cancel with no charge. The place was scary, dark, and the rooms are the worst, I had ask for a non smoking and it stinks, the beds look like someone was sitting down on them, and the restrooms was the scariest thing ever, there was a a huge black circle of I don't know what on the tub, gross. When I got there, I ask to see the room and can't believe that she gave me that room to see, the worst, so I cancelled it.
It was very quiet The bathroom, sink and initial towels....the sink didn't drain properly, the towels had hair and spots on them. The bathroom was extremely small
Nothing Stay away
Shower head was pretty weak.
Price Included breakfast and Internet Microwave / Fridge Friendly staff No printer in business center. Needs new carpet. Road construction in the area meant long traffic times
I liked how the rooms were clean and comfy All the traffic and location
We liked nothing we only stayed 10mim then checked out and left This ended up being a drug hotel where they were literally doing drug deals in the lobby even had them ask my wife if we needed anything. Rooms are filthy and dirty big stain all over mattress. Hotel refused to refund us but we left after 10 min and went down the road to sleep in suites!! Do not stay at this hotel it is a open air drug market!!
Just a clean cheap motel, perfect for coming and going on a quick trip if you don't need to be in a room a lot It seemed some people lived in the motel long term and were somewhat sketchy but no one but no one bothered us
price room was good back door area
The attitude of the morning manager. He was so rude. AND they tried to charge me 60.00 dollars for a nob that fell off in the restroom.
Easy access to I-10. Close to Fiesta Texas and UTSA. That's were are business was. Hallway carpets ate dirty.
I booked this hotel for an Anniversary weekend getaway with my husband. We were on a budget, as it was our only getaway without the kids this year. If you're looking for a decent place to sleep that's safe and clean, THIS is it! I paid $80 for 2 nights!! Well worth it! No its not a luxury hotel, but I've paid double and triple this price for a room and gotten the same quality. The location was easy access to restaurants, 6 flags, and a 15min drive to the Riverwalk/Alamo. My only advice: do not follow your GPS to the hotel. There is interstate construction and the exit is closed. Take the Dezavala exit and get on the Frontage road, hotel is about 2miles up.
Leaving As soon as you walked in was greeted by a gang member tattooed all over his face and arms. Front desk clerk was nice. First floor smelled like fresh marijuana. Second floor smelled like mold, hotel room smelled like concentrated mold. Floors were dirty. Never took off my socks. Rented room for two days but left after first day. Asked both kayak and hotel clerk for one day refund but was denied. Didn't mind though losing the money, just wanted to leave. Grade: F
Location was great. Close to supermarkets, department stores, restutaunts, and fiesta Texas. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast should run a little longer.
The location is great and the staff were very helpful! The beds are too hard. The carpets didn't look clean and there was a tiny Roach crawling on the cups by the sink!
Good location They didn't do our beds
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
The location was close to the AT&T center. The room had a strong smoke odor, there was a bug near the bed. Overall the room wasn't very clean.
Good enough for the price.
thin walls, you can hear everything from the room next door to the traffic o the highway. i don't even think the room ever went up to temp poor insulation, noisy, took the attendant longer to acknowledge me than it did to book the room.
The staff was friendly, that was the only good thing about this motel. The shower handles were not clean, you could tell they have not been clean for a long time. There was roaches. It was disgusting. Roach crap on the microwave, roaches in the microwave. It was NASTY!!! I would never stay here again. I DONT NOT RECOMMEND!!!
The bed was too hard
Closeness to military base I had 2 rooms. One cleaned but no clean towels. Other room not cleaned at all
The room Location , train was close by
The first room the bed sheets were stained. I was moved room and that bed had even bigger stains on the sheet even some cigaret burn, even though it was a non smoking room.. It was a really bad experience staying here.
Hotel has a decent location I didnt like anything about this hotel
The room had a modern look to it. The water pressure in the tub and the sink was bad. The tub got full of water too quickly, and the water in the sink squirted out.
The pool and hot tub I did't like the mole inside the air condition and the water likeage from the air condition.
Absolutely nothing. The room was dirty. There were holes in the comforter. The bathtub was extremely filthy. The cancellation fee for such a horrible service cost more than the room itself. I'm extremely unlikely to recommend this hotel. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had.
It is a realy nice and simple hotel. No
The desk clerk was friendly and accommodating The beds were too hard it took nearly all day for the room to cool down there was black mold on the bathroom ceiling
About the only thing we liked about our stat was the price. Room was full of crickets, was suppose to be a king suite, was two double beds even after we requested to change rooms because of the crickets. Didn't get fresh towels everyday, ice machine didn't work. Will never stay at this hotel again.
The location was pretty good for where I needed to be and the size of the room was good for the price. The building was old and there were signs of wear and tear throughout the room and general facilities. The breakfast area was undersized (at least when I showed up for breakfast) so a lot of people needed to stand and eat or spill over to other parts of the lobby.
No hot water had several cold showers moved out went to Priceline and got a 3 star for almost what I paid for this place.
bad location, going in abd out of the parking area.
Beds were comfortable. Fairly quiet. Easy access to interstate and close to stores. Some of the hotel staff were not very friendly. Seemed put out when we needed assistance. Paint peeling in bath tub and tape holding together faucet in kitchen and shower curtain rod. Cleaning was poor and they left any toilet paper. We had to go buy a trash can, there weren't any supplied in room. Iron didn't work in room. The rooms were small. Breakfast was terrible and very little to choose from. Coffee maker and waffle iron didn't work. Thought we would pay for rooms at end of stay, but credit card was charged daily.
nothing everything about this hotel was horrible. From the door not closeing all the way, missing cabinents in the kitchen, stained sheets and towels, and painted tub that was missing most of the paint, lack of remote. From top to bottom this hotel was disgusting.
Nothing Rooms were super dirty.. Blood was on the bathroom door not happy at all
Absolutly nothing The "hot breakfast" was nothing more then cereal with warm milk...the waffle mix was like water, and they stuck to the griddle. And there was no coffee what so ever. There was what looked like dog vomit on the carpet...the staff were rude
Not much Location was hard to get to. No free wifi. No smoking room smelled like smoke. There was an a clean ashtray in the room. Why would there be an ashtray in the room if it is a non-smoking room?? Almost missed the entrance due to a lot of bushes and trees. Entrance not well lit. Since this is on one-way highway frontage road, missing the entrance would cause one to drive a half mile past the motel, go across the highway then a mile back and then another half mile to the motel again. There is a back entrance on the road behind it but the gate was locked closed (I'm sure for security reasons). A small lit entrance sign at the driveway would help.
