Loved the art deco building and how close it was to everything in Napier. The hotel itself was majestic with its art deco decor including the art deco restaurant that was attached to the hotel. The furnishings in the hotel lobby, rooms and restaurant were just lovely. Even the Irish pub also attached to this hotel was great & had really nice meals & atmosphere. Views from the hotel to the sea was great and it was lovely that you could actually go out on to the balcony too.
This hotel is ideally situated on Marine Parade being close to beach and town centre. The food was excellent. N/A
In short, very good value for money. Good food, friendly staff, and a large, comfortable room.
Superb location. Amazing view of the ocean. Beautiful clean, spacious bedroom. Friendly efficient staff.
Comfortable, spacious modern room overlooking sea, surprisingly quiet at night given proximity to main road and beach UHT milk in the room,it makes tea or coffee taste awfull, its vile stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were arriving in Napier on an early flight and requested an early check in, which they made available on the day. We really appreciated that. Absolutle nothing.
Speedy check-in and check-out. All rooms have a view of the ocean. Right in the centre of Napier and good for sightseeing.
nice view of sea and fountain; proximaty to shops and attractions, clean comfortable room, room service adapted a meal to be vegan for us.
Great location, the parade loks lovely at night with the trees illuminated.best place to watch the sun rise across the road
The staff was very helpfull and always friendly. no
All rooms facing sea front Large lorries rumbling by on way to port and no double glazing for sound reduction. Best views only available to top floor guests which was not the impression I got from the photos of hotel on web - I was on second floor with good view of ugly concrete structure across road.
Across road from R.S.A. , short walk to beach only block away.
No kitchen sink
Proximity to shops, beach and conference centre the noise of adjoining and above units - unusually noisy, including someone taking a long shower at 5 am on Sunday morning?? Also, room was rather small and tight
Nice location, easy to find. Near the sea and centre. Well run family concern
The location to the beach front and the city centre. All was good
Very welcoming hosts, hotel generous in provision of little extras. Slightly noisy location near local RSA.
Location makes walking to the Art Deco buildings easy; plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. Staff helpful with local information and parking. Our very comfortable room was on the street sid, so would have been a bit noisy if the weather had been appropriate for open windows. Just a small nuisance in an otherwise fine hotel.
Room was spacious. Outside sitting was pleasant. Noise from other rooms was very conspicuous.
Kids enjoyed the spa pool. You had a sign up in the bathroom re the tiles but we were very concious of how dangerous the wet tiles were for not only for us as parents but also for our young children. They are an accident waiting to happen.
As we stayed for two nights I expexted a small milk 2nd day. Would like to have been asked if it was okay to service our room when away for the day. felt a little intrusive
