Location and comfort
Big positives: cleanliness and size of room, very cheery staff, newer hotel. Somewhat kitschy decor that was also endearing . Cool rough hewn wood beams in room. As a former San Franciscan touristy Fisherman's Wharf wouldn't be my first choice but appreciated quietness of area. Far cleaner, quiet than Union Square or SOMA. Better value than Union Square, much nicer than motels on Lombard. Heard some guests making noise in hall in middle of night.
evberyone was great and very helpful the location was perfect our view was a wall
Location..decor...staff...service...all were great!!!
The room was very comfortable, in particular the bed and pillows were comfy.
Quirky rooms decor & staff Lack of facilities no hotel bar or estaurants although there are independent providers attached to hotel. No pool.
Sight seeing and shoping No
The staff was friendly. Concierge restaurant recommendations on the money. The location was excellent. Rained the entire weekend-but no matter the hotels had huge umbrellas for their quests. Lighting could have been better when you entered the room (outside bathroom.) Prefer bathroom sink outside of bath/shower area. Allows two people to get ready at same time.
Location location location The hallways have an unpleasant odor; however, the room did not - thank goodness.
Excellent as usual. Staff very helpful with an early check-in.
Location to Fisherman's Wharf Walls were a little thin. Could hear the people below us. I was really excited about the rate I got for this hotel compared to other websites so I told my sister about it. She booked a room at this hotel for the following week and got a rate $110.00 cheaper than mine, higher floor and better view, so I was a little bummed about that.
It was really close to all the attractions to Fisherman's Wharf The room we were in had a lot of guest traffic within the building such as people walking up and down the stairs and doors slamming. (room 241)
nice clean hotel - close to fishermans wharf paying $40.00 to park
Proximity to the wharf 1. Found a man's underwear in the drawer. 2. I was never informed I would be charged an additional$100 on the day of our check-in. I saw the charge on my online visa statement and told only after my inquiry. Since there were no damages to the room, I should expect a refund in a few days. My experience has been that possilbe extra charges are done after check-out and NOT on the day of check-in. 3. A few ants coming out of the heater. 4. A $51 charge for underground parking because of the high rate of car break-ins so I parked there, only to find they also have overnight parking in the gated registration lot but told the price is the same???? Likely or another way to charge more???? No transparency.
The hotel is very 2 blocks away from any event or attraction I found 2 spiders in my bed . I just killed them .
The hotel is conveniently located within walki g distance to main attractions in a beautiful city!
Lots of food choices around the area including Starbucks. Looks clean. Nobody asked when we came in if we need help in our luggage. The bed creeks, make some noises when you move while sleeping. Parking is not included. You need to pay 50 bucks per night.
Der Pool. Die Lage. Frühstück Buffet.
It's just a block away from the main street. In close proximity to bars and restaurants . The staff at the front desk was very helpful. We didn't go to the bar at the hotel but it looked inviting and we would have if we had more time. The hotel is a little older but nicely maintained.
Location was excellent, and the room was clean and well maintained. We stayed in the "Wharf Building" which seemed older and less maintained. There was no front desk staff in the building and it was difficult to get back over to the other building if we needed anything. Also, the elevator was under repair the full duration of our stay, which made the one working elevator very slow.
Staff extremely friendly and considerate, great location. Parking way too expensive, and maid would knock on our door way too early. Should wait until 10 not 8. Breakfast too expensive for not the best food.
Location Booked and paid extra for king bed, when we checked in there were none available, so still had to pay extra for 2 queens.
Feels like an adventure since it appears to be on a us ship!
The location and staff were wonderful. The gym was very nice. The hotel was clean. . For my purposes, it was perfect. The bathroom could use updating, but it was okay. I would NOT classify this as a romantic hotel. The Edison lamps were unique but not very effective as lighting.
I booked Pier 2620 less than a month before my intended stay. It was cheap, just over $200 a night, but the location was pretty unbeatable and we didn't plan to spend much time in our room, so I figured it was good enough. Upon entering the lobby, we were already impressed. It was very clean, bright and fresh. We really loved our room. The decor is unique and industrial, but super cozy. We had a great time. The staff was so friendly and polite. I can't wait for my next visit to SF, I'll be looking to book here again.
Excelent bed, shower, big room, quiet. Staff from front desk confusing and not gentle. Didn'tgive important information. Lounge vip not worthy.
Great location, clean, nice, friendly staff. Noise easily heard from other room, hallway and street. Have to be quiet at night.
I loves the fresh but edgy rooms. Do the valet parking.
I liked that we were in walking distance of the wharf and North Shore. A few blocks from the congestion of fisherman's wharf gave us some peace and quiet. We were able to sleep with the window's open without the noise from the streets or groups of people invading our space.
The room cleanliness and decor. Customer service-I had requested a 1 bed and they initially gave me a double. So we had to go change rooms. Then at 6am there's was a fire drill so everyone had to evacuate but the issue is that the staff never offered an apology.
Clean, renovated, stylish, friendly, with a perfect location. Not a the over priced dirty old hotel usually available for the price in the warf. I did not pick the hotel or we wouldn't have stayed in this area. I was WRONG. They've saved an old hotel from being an awful tourist trap. I was anticipating mushrooms growing on the carpets and paint from the 70's. But it was as clean as a Hampton in or Holiday in express I would usually use during the week for work. Location is at the end of the war so getting in and out of there was easy. It's also at the end of Columbus state getting into little Italy and over to China town were also simple. Again, I did not expect this clean of a room for that close to $200 in this area. Would stay here again if asked to. Charged for waters. Hotel elevator room card reader. In room AC could have worked better, but it was well enough that we didn't bother to complain. Not enough outlets. Though there are charging stations in the room, only 1 next to the bed and the other shut off when the TV was off. Stairwell doors all need new door closers. Bed looked lumpy but slept fine.
Staff was great and the location was perfect. You can walk to many hot spots within 2-10 min Parking in the city is always a pain. But expected. Valet parking was $60.
Very nicely appointed room, with new furniture and finishes. The windows were very poorly insulated and there was a lot of noise during the early morning hours.
Within walking distance to everything you want to see! Perfect for families! Love the breakfast room. Very clean!
The staff was great. Helped with tickets to attractions and local restaurant suggestions. Comfortable beds were a plus. No free breakfast, but reasonably priced breakfast was available
The hotel staff was very helpful! Everyday Edward had suggestions for us. The room was very clean and was in a great location. Only a block from the dock, food, shopping, and tour buses. Street was a little noisy. But obviously, not the hotels fault.
The price point and location were great. The staff was always kind and greated us. It was nice and clean. So was the general location of the hotel. Some other "high end" hotels in the financial district for instance suffer from ridiculous pricing ,and you get to watch homeless at close range. The beds were terrible ,imagine the Grand Canyon combined with the Marianas trench. Rooms very spartan and bland.
I loved the comfortable bed, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff. We had stayed at another location the night before which was so terrible, that I was online looking for a hotel and fortunately found the Marriott. They were able to accommodate us and turned our potentially awful weekend into a great success. I wish we would have found Marriott earlier. Could hear some people late at night but they settled down quickly enough.
Location, Comfort Parking way too expensive.
Concierge services was excellent
The staff , especially Katie at the front desk went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay wonderful. Nothing
Everything! Great hotel, very relaxing and in a perfect position to access all aspects of San Francisco.
Our stay at the Fairmont Heritage was extremely relaxing. The kitchen, laundry in the unit, and the overall decor were perfect for our needs. The hotel staff were friendly and always willing to help make our experience pleasant.

The hotel is stunning and exceeded all of our expectations. Lovely attentive staff, brand new, state of the art technology, beautiful furnishings. Highly recommended.
I liked the decor in the rooms. The size of the apartments was fantastic. The location and views of the bay was fabulous. The hotel staff were also fantastic & went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Convenient location Telephone did not work, safety on outside door was broken, don´t fall for the breakfast is included, it´s a joke, at most they could call it a snack.
Location The family above us was walking around all night and the building is old and you can hear every little noise
The location was great as it was just a short walk to Fishermans Wharf. The free wi-fi internet was a really great feature. Staff were friendly enough, and although the room was not flash, it was comfortable so it was definitely value for money. There is a sign by reception that says "This area contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause Cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm."... this was slightly concerning. Also I couldn't work the air conditioning unit but that could just be me :-)
3 mins walk to fishermans wharf Daily parking fee on the top of their daily hotel rate.
The location was awesome!! The room was confy :) I liked everything
Location and price Poorly kept exterior and lobby. Lots of trash and debris outside door and in parking lot.
I loved everything about this place. Travelling alone I felt safe and secure here, it was close to where I had to go to meet the tour buses as well as within walking distance to the pier which had such a great atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable and the rates were more than competitive. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay while visiting the lovely San Francisco
Clean, recently redone, decent value. Cheaper rate if you call the motel directly.
Location is very convenient, 10 minutes walk from Pier 39, 5 minutes from tram stop. It is clean, safe neighbourhood. Hotel itself is also clean. Breakfast is actually not existing, althought description of the hotel says differently. Just don't count you get anything except coffee. Also the room is extremely small. The two beds are actually accupying the whole space available. No room left for sitting or even walking.
The bed was comfortable It was a motel and very overpriced.
Wonderful accommodations and friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely return again.
It's a delightful, charming little inn, centrally located and a good bargain. The location was very near Fisherman's Wharf. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a very positive experience. There was no elevator but that wouldn't have been authentic with the original style of the hotel or aesthetically pleasing.
Front office staff very friendly. Rooms were dated and it was under construction. Had to be moved to a second room because of a leak and the room not being cleaned yet.
Location Friendly staff Only one elevator Limited parking space
..... 1. Thin walls, could hear neighboring rooms conversations clearly. 2. cockroach in bathroom. 3. when my travelling partner tried to return to the room after visiting with friends the key card did not work. I was not there but the friend walked him to the hotel. This was 9 hours after checking in. The attendant was rude and refused to rekey the card without an argument then a scolding after. Ridiculous.
The hotel accommodated free guest parking for every guest. Compared to other hotels the price was lower,. San Francisco is expensive though. Many guests smoking in front of their rooms. One person even had laundry hanging by their door.
Great place! Location, value and friendly! Will be back!
Good location Staff was rude. They made my wife cry.
Location Everything else. Possibly the worst motel i have ever stayed at.
Location close to Muni and decent value for the money. Internet connection and speed could have been better and faster. Too many disconnection and slow at times. It will be nice to have dedicated area for free breakfast, instead of to go and have it in your own room.
Quick cab to union square, had cute diners and deli's right across the street. Great hotel if you're looking for something affordable but clean and near the heart of the city. We were only there one night and barely in the room so we weren't looking for luxury. Breakfast was just a few items, but didn't affect us at all.
