This hotel is Dublin's gem! It's perfectly appointed and well situated within a few minutes (very safe) walk to the attractions, city sights, public transportation, restaurants and tour companies. The entire staff is helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. All their recommendations were spot on. This hotel has my full endorsement.
Good car parking facilities. Fast check-in/out. Breakfast very good value. Room card key malfunctioned. Needed replacement. Room TV remote did not work properly.
Was attending game at Croke Park stadium so location was excellent for that event. If I wasn't attending the game, the location wasn't good. Rate was inflated too much for the game.
Rooms were some of the nicest at any hotel we stayed in Ireland, restaurant and bar were top notch and the food was great; breakfast was also great. Parking included and very convenient. Business center with 2 computers and free printing. Very nice lounge area. Location was out of the way if you want to do sight seeing, but it was close to the airport so perfect for us (we stayed there the last day of our trip). Bit of a wait for the business center computers, some of the other guests were using for non-business purposes - wish there was a sign that had a time limit or something.
beds very small. Did not seem to be double
I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and they have never disappointed me. Clean, Friendly and handy if travelling from the north of Dublin. Nothing
Super comfy bed and amazing bathrooms! Loved everything about this hotel!
very efficient staff- rooms very comfortable and surprisungly quiet for location. - bar food excellent. On settling bill on deparure given small bottle water- nice and inexpensive touch; shuttle bus to 02 a big plus for concer goers
Fine hotel. Free printing was a good perk. Hotel bar and bar food was a decent and tasty value. The location is suboptimal. It was not a safe walk from the downtown to the hotel at night or in the early morning. It is needed to take a cab from the hotel to the city center during those hours.
Staff went out of their way to help and were very friendly and professional. The rooms were luxurious and very well equipped, fantastic value for money. Far enough from the centre of town to enjoy peace and quiet but close enough to walk. When we come back to Dublin we will definitely stay here if it's available. Nothing at all to dislike.
extremely friendly staff helpful staff food bar breakfast included
Our bathroom looked like it had never been used it was so clean. The room was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Bar was busy and comfortable. Our remote in the room for the t.v wasnt working,
beautiful building, friendly staff, great dinner although breakfast was a bit disappointing but in all an amazing accomodation, really recommend, IF you can get a good rate package which we did it is a little bit outside of the city centre however good connection by bus available and the benefit of being away from the noice of the night life which is what so many people complained about in other hotel reviews. in all very happy we chose this hotel!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Clontarf Castle!! The rooms were beautiful, the food was exquisite, the services at your hotel were fab!! We are currently living in Moscow, Russia, and this holiday was a perfect "get away" for us!! Your staff was so helpful - We didn't receive our laundry from another castle in Scotland, and your staff helped us retrieve it! Very kind!! We loved everything!
It was beautifully decorated for Xmas which added to the ambience. A really magical place to stay. Although it is out of town the no 130 bus drops you off right on the corner of the hotel. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants so we can't comment on them. Really good value for money if you can get a good deal- I can't wait to go back at easter!!! Only a shower in our room but because we only stayed for one night it wasnt a problem
What a fantastic hotel. it is truly stunning and has a romantic feel. So much to look at, it has a stylish modern look that works well with the original castle. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable through out. Take a look on line at the photos and that is exactly what you get. Everything is of a good standard. The food is lovely but breakfast was a pre prepared buffet and not over hot. In that respect quite expensive when not being cooked to order. I would recommend the evening restaurant as the food is of a high standard and the Proseco was one of the nicest I have ever had. However, do keep your wits about you when the bill is presented. Check it carefully as mistakes do happen. The staff are friendly, attentive and work very hard. one of my party complained the bed in there room needed upgrading.
the staff could be more helpful, had to ask for things more than once, which was a bit annoying.
It was a beautifully designed hotel lack of facilities, the gym itself was terrible, some of the staff were not as friendly as the others.
Amazing stay. Upgraded to a lovely suite. Service superb.
Contempory mix of classic charm, modern fittings and great atmosphere in busy bar.
Room at front with a view When we arrived at our room it was cold. the air conditioning was on. we found the "manual" difficult to follow. we had to call a member of staff to change the mode to "heat" and it took quite a while to heat up, bearing in mind that it was really cold outside. during the winter months the room should be warm on arrival to make it more inviting and comfortable. once this was sorted for us, it was great.
Hotel was very good and as depicted on your site, food was superb if the service at first was a bit haphazard, staff kept getting our names wrong- a bit embarrassing for us. Hotel staff not very efficient - had ordered champagne to be in room on arrival - it was not despite reception telling me at check in that it was - had arranged to have guests in for dinner and could not reserve a table in the bar and one other bar was 'reserved for a private function' but was remarkably empty and dark despite the bar being very busy. Newspapers ordered were not delivered and when queried was told that this paper was not available on a Sunday - not true - when pushed they agreed to go out for one, reluctantly.
