I did not want to make a big deal, so I just ate it. Then they did not offer any beverages when the meal came! I literally had to beg them to make me their famous “Singapore sling”. Shocking really!!. When I had my coffee, my request for cream and sugar went ignored THREE times. Finally they grudgingly gave me only cream, rendering my coffee undrinkable. .....And the list goes on. Never ever will I travel on this horrid airline again!"

The noise from the engine transmits to the bed and it is hard to sleep even with the noise cancellation headphone."

Kontra: "The flight delayed for 5 hours and then cancelled. While I understand this happens, it was completely unorganized. They didn't have any plans to try to get people on other flights (passengers ended up organizing this), they provided a hotel but we had to sit there for over an hour while they tried to find one, and when trying to get flights gets the next day, staff was not proactive...the only way people got rebooked was if they told them what to do."

Towards the end of the flight the plane was delayed for over another hour as we circled the gulf waiting to land. This wouldn't have been so inconvenient if the lights were dimmed again as it was 2-3am local time and passengers wanted to sleep."

Pro: "I had two flight crew that went out of their way to exceed my expectations on my BKK to HKG flight. One was the onflight manager, Bingo, and the other was the flight attendant, Carol. They are a testament to Cathay Pacific, and they should be acknowledged for their exceptional customer service!"
Kontra: "Delayed from boarding at 1 am until 5 am when they finally announced it was cancelled. They made announcement updates every 10 minutes meaning that people had to be constantly alert to see if anything changed in the next 10 minutes. When the flight was cancelled, the employees could not offer any information about how to get ticket prices refunded, or how to get to the destination. They could not even connect passengers to the managers because the managers are in Hong Kong. The number they gave out to passengers for customer services could not be reached because this it is an international number. People had to miss connecting flights, meetings, important appointments, and are still trying to figure out how to get refunded for an expensive flight. Terrible experience and customer service."

Pro: "Cathay Pacific has the most attentive flight attendants of any airline on the planet. We had a tight connection in Hong Kong. They accommodated us, by having us move up to Business Class just before landing so that we could get off the plane first. We made our connection without any problem."

Pro: "Cathay Airways offer spacious leg room and a very polite and helpful staff. Cathay prefer to board passenger based on their sitting locations than their ticket class which makes more sense as the last rows board first and don't clog up the plane. Cathay crew kept pumping out noodles and snacks during the flight. it almost felt like being on an airborne restaurant!"

Kontra: "Our luggage was left in Hong Kong. We arrived in Denpasar without knowing this information. If we would have known this when on our second flight we wouldn't have wasted so much time in the DPS Airport and gone straight to our hotel. Its been 1 day and we still do not have our luggage."
Pro: "I liked that there was a great variety of snacks and drinks. The crew were quick to clean up but also did not bother you if they seen you weren’t done with your trash."
Kontra: "The crew took a bit longer than expected to bring any snacks or drinks. Did not have any other issue worth the flight crew but the delayed landing would’ve made the experience better."

Entertainment system was an iPad - ok, I guess, and at least it worked until you had to return it as landing commenced. Food was not good, though it had a few bits that were good. Service was quite good. Landing: bounced really high, though weather was good and the craft had flown really smoothly up to then."

Kontra: "For a 15 hour flight, they gave us lunch after 2 hours into takeoff and then dinner only 2 hours before landing. Portions were small too. The snack only consisted of about 10 pieces of popcorn. Next time I'll know to bring my own food for sustenance. No water offered either"

Pro: "Easy transfer process, and super professional crew. There was plenty of leg space, and lots of TV and games options. I was pleasantly surprised to get decent and substantial food despite it being a short flight leg."
Kontra: "I couldn't check in online: it told me to select a seat even though they were all "taken". So I was forced to check in at the airport. I was surprised that the lunch main was spicy, maybe they should indicate that it's spicy."

Pro: "We were traveling Hanoi-Hong Kong...Looking at HK airlines website I found that my flight to/from HongKong to Southwest Pacific should be 30kg.Whe I got to airport to check in the agent said it was 20kg...I showed him the website...He claims southwestPacific is Aus/New Zealand even though Aus/NZ had there own category under Zone 3...It was very confusing and could have been quite expensive as they charge $10/kg excess weight.Other than that it was a nice experience.."

Kontra: "A big negative was the transit lounge in Manila. Between 2 Philippine Airline flights we had an 8 hour layover in the Manila transit lounge. Not impressed at all. There were about 4/5 staff but they sat outside the lounge & did nothing to control the passengers & keep them quiet /organised. The lounge was very crowded, very noisy & there was only water to drink & nothing to eat. For 8 hours! The very least should be to supply more seating & a facility where passengers can order coffee/tea & snacks. Also there was only 1 ladies toilet, so always occupied. The lounge Definately needs an urgent upgrade in facilities then I would consider flying Phillipine Aiines again."

Kontra: "Leg room is real tight. Hardly any space to move. Compared to other airlines the A320-200 Philippine Airlines aircraft has been packed with way too many seats. Will not fly them again."
Pro: "Crews were attentive and very helpful. They were all nice and very accommodating. But please add a personal AVOD on your aircrafts. A 10 hour flight is really boring without entertainment system."
Kontra: "The portion of the food was very little. And they only serve full meal once on a 10-hour flight. Snack was served 1 hour prior to arrival but was not enough as the passengers were starving already."
Pro: "Once the aircraft left the gate and started taxiing, it did the job. The crew also did their jobs. Nothing remarkable. Passengers were few, so everyone could relax better."
Kontra: "One day in advance, an e-mail announced that the flight would be delayed by 1 h 10 mn. Once at the airport, the delay was increased. by 35 minutes. Yet, at the airport and on the aircraft, the only explanation given was the overplayed refrain "Due to late arrival of the aircraft..." PLEASE, stop kidding us. Bad management is not the same as "late arrival". At 3 AM everybody was on board. No other arriving or departing aircraft in that CGK airport at that ungodly time. The pilot mumbled something about loading cargo. We sat an extra 50 minutes before taking off. This airplane has no screen of any kind in Economy. There were posters and a booklet describing the possibilities of entertainment. Again, who is kidding whom? Before going bankrupt, the old Philippines Air Lines used the acronym P.A.L. And everyone read: "Planes Always Late". The acronym is gone, but the delays are back, for sure. I am sorry that I did not go on a low cost flight."
