I said that my child had just vomited but there was no offer to help me clear it up they just continued serving food to other passengers. I had to search for someone to help me to clear up and then I felt as though I was an inconvenience. I then had to look for someone to bring food for myself and other child. My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags."

Kontra: "Due to a misunderstanding at check-in we have been seated away from a baby bassinette (although booked) to sit together with my husband, nobody asked what my preference would be (sitting as a whole family or having a bassinette) and a 17-hour flight with a 9month old baby constantly on my lap was challenging. Also a very disappointing selection of films and documentaries for adults. I ended watching a kids movie with my older daughter and it was the only thing I found appealing. Kids section very good though, my 5-year old was glued to the screen and all the options had my approval :)"

The member of flight crew, a Latvian lady, who looked after me onboard was a real star, very efficient but still had time to chat."

I've put a formal suggestion before to Garuda several months ago; seems nobody care. Gate information is confusing, initially shown gate number at *domestic* terminal; then changed again twice. In the end they took you on a bus-ride to domestic gate; need to climb a couple of narrow stairs (good luck for older people); the escalator next to it is set for descending only while the ground crew doing nothing. Then your plane are on the 7th queue for another 20 minutes. Food is mediocre, in flight entertainment suddenly went blank and resetting for several minutes."

She then made my flight a nightmare, until I let her sit in my aisle seat. Even then she was not satisfied, she abused me the whole flight damaged the screen so I could not use it until the steward fixed it. Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced."

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

Pro: "The very dirty plane was cleaned at Dar-es-salaam and became less dirty. The pilot kept us updated periodically through the flight. The flight attendants were very pleasant."
Kontra: "The plane was very dirty when we landed in Dar-es-salaam. The plane did get cleaned a little bit in Dar-es-salaam however I was still missing a pillow and blanket which I had to actively seek out. Seating was not very comfortable as there was a box attached to the leg of the seat in front of me, making it necessary to keep my feet at an uncomfortable angle through the long flight. I did not enjoy the food."
Kontra: "Late Cabin extremely warm Full flight and centre seat means no room to relax or carry out work"

Kontra: "Flight delayed by one hour which meant I missed by train at Southampton by 10 minutes and subsequent bus connect home. Next bus would have been 2 hours later so 45 minute walk home from train station. Didn't bother with food offering, put off by that supplied from Hannover to Schiphol."
Pro: "The crew were really helpful since I am a short person in putting my luggage away in the overhead compartment and attentive to everyone's needs. I am a fussy eater and don't really like airplane food but the food was actually really nice. We was given plenty of snacks and drinks in between meals as well. There was plenty of programmes to choose from to keep me entertained."
Kontra: "The seats in economy were a little too small for a 12 hour flight"
Pro: "The crew were lovely and welcoming. We was given snacks and drinks on the flight which was great. Take off was a bit delayed but boarding was smooth. Couldn't complain about the comfort as was only just over an hours flight."

Pro: "We took the offer of putting cabin baggage in hold. Some of those that retained theirs had "oversized" bags that should have been taken from them at the steps of the plane. As this did not happen there were a lot of problems including the problem of opening the lockers"
Kontra: "Stricter control on cabin bags. The result was that our bags were already on the belt when we got to customs area"

Food - disgraceful “tapas” dish of literally one scrap of ham, an equally small piece of cheese and half a scotch egg. Crew - disinterested to the point of surliness. Entertainment - none, this being BA short haul (others can manage it but not BA)"

We asked to be changed to different airline and they could even do that. They did not compensate or pay anything, which is unacceptable. Horrible customer service."
Pro: "Once again BA 297 was more than an hour late departing because BA could not get bags and cargo loaded."
Kontra: "See above. If BA cant get A380 loaded for on time departure, get more baggage handlers or use a different aircraft."

Kontra: "I felt stressed due to an ill passenger holding up the plane. Plane returned to gate from runway. High potential of missing connecting flight. Landed on tarmac at Heathrow. Waited for bus. Took to faraway terminal. No info monitors so stood in long queue to find out in wrong terminal."
Pro: "My first domestic flight with BA for years yet the service imo has got even slicker and better. From check-in to boarding to disembarking and all ahead of schedule, I doubt if I would fly domestically with anyone else."

Kontra: "I booked via Lastminute.com and I was unable to check in online due to a system error. I called BA who said this is a fairly common issue with booking with some travel providers for BA flights. As a result I was only able to check in at the airport (which was 19 hours after I planned to check in online) and hence got a mediocre seat. This issue should be resolved, especially between such an established airline and such an established travel website. The entertainment is poor. The music available only caters for certain tastes (either it is ultra modern or classical) and the selection is markedly inferior to that of other airlines. The film selection is very limited."

Kontra: "Flight was delayed by 2 hours because of hydronic issues. I feel asleep and missed the food which was part of the ticket wasn’t woken up. Was then woken by the passenger behind kick my chair which was not comfortable at all and the entertainment system was something out of the 80s, screen so small could see the picture that well and the touch screen was not that reactive. Cabin crew we grumpy. Ashamed this is called British not what I called British........"
Pro: "The quality of food let it down but crew cheerful and helpful throughout the flight!"
Kontra: "Not good enough to let back of plane consistently have no choice of food because it has run out. Maybe alternate end of plane you start service to avoid this happening."
Pro: "Flight was on time. Check in staff, Lounge + lounge staff and Cabin crew were on par with expectations (very good). Disembarking the plane at Heathrow was organised, immigration process (I used the e-gates) was very quick and bags arrived promptly."
Kontra: "Many ground staff on hand - but felt overall lack of coordination specifically after security check at the gate, with yet another boarding card check which seemed a bit pointless as boarding cards were checked before gate security as well? Eventually boarding the plane - one lady ended up in the wrong line for upper deck seating (which shows that the numerous boarding card checks they failed to give proper guidance on what line to join)."
Kontra: "There are no wheel chairs for BA in London. We were made to walk long distances in absence of wheel chairs. No coordination in BA ground staff."
Pro: "Nothing. Not one redeeming thing to say. What a shame."
Kontra: "Everything. Massive delay, but not that much as it was JUST before the threshold (by 5 minutes), cheats. Radio failure was the excuse, followed by crew change - yeah, right, not buying that one - more like radio was fine, but crew wanted to chip off work early and avoid last flight (common tactic for a demoralised/unionised workforce). Border is still broken at LGW. THIS is Broken Brexit Britain."

Kontra: "I am emerald on one world. In the departure flight I was not able ot reserve an aisle seat during online checkin ( need to get up on flights quite a bit for health reasons). I had been assigned a window although aisles, my preference, were available. I sought to change seats from window to aisle and would have been charged USD $18 (on a flight within europe - why dollars?). The BA staff said the website would be fine on the return journey - but it was not. I arrnved at teh airport (not having checked in as I didn't want a window) and the BA staff person in 46 at 6:45pm simply said that's impossible to change anything - no apology; she seemed rather irritated to be asked. I then went to security and the machine for priority queue did not permit me to enter - it said 'invalid ticket'. Then the flight was significantly delayed. So all in all not a great day."
Pro: "Disability assist was good."
Kontra: "Unable to use your cash on board. Having to use a card to buy something, like a drink, for £1.80"
Pro: "Plane left on time and arrived on time. Went up and came down again without any fuss. Cabin crew were efficient."
Kontra: "Boarding took too long. Whilst I was travelling posh at the front of the aeroplane, why not fill it up from the back? I would be quite happy to be the last one on board."
Pro: "swift boarding allowed for an earlier departure and arrival 30min ahead of scheduled time"
Kontra: "I waited 30min at the priority check in queue while being first in line this whole time. There was only one counter open for normal check in and one for priority when I arrived and after 20min waiting, the priority counter closed completely and there was just one counter open remaining, with just 10-15min before the check in closed. We had to wait another 10min to be able to check in our luggage! On arrival, luggage took 45min to just start delivering, completely wiping out the 30min arrival ahead of schedule."
Pro: "No delays, good quality seating and service"
Kontra: "The change to a packet of crisps or nuts instead of a snack."
