In the end they took you on a bus-ride to domestic gate; need to climb a couple of narrow stairs (good luck for older people); the escalator next to it is set for descending only while the ground crew doing nothing. Then your plane are on the 7th queue for another 20 minutes. Food is mediocre, in flight entertainment suddenly went blank and resetting for several minutes."

The worst kind of budget airline. To be honest....the plane was not that bad. Would have been good to have some food choices and some water. What was by far the worse is the passengers/customers that this airline attracts. Coughing and spluttering all over one another with no masks. Just disgusting. Pay for a better carrier and get a better class of passenger.

The issue is that if you fly with this company you arrive at KUL. Steward was kind but rough - efficient like a robot... and the headphones are very poor, I could hardly understand what was said when watching the films."

The agents in malysia airlines couldn't check us into the connecting flight because it's co share with China airlines and was rude to us when we questioned them why since we bought the tickets from them. We need up having to run to the connecting flight at Kuala Lumpur because the arriving flight was late. Very unprofessional"

Kontra: "We paid $37 to check in 1 Baggage and the flight from SFO to Beijing had delivered the baggage in baggage claim area. We had to take Chinese Visa to get to the baggage, even-though it is a transit. We missed the next connecting flight to Shenzhen as it ate up all our time. Now have to travel in the mercy of the airlines for next flight. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LIST THAT "VISA NEEDED IF CHECKING IN BAGGAGE" MISSED ALL FLIGHTS"

Had to leave my arrival Terminal 1 to pass through Immigration to reach Terminal 2 because Air Asia has no counter in Yerminal 1. All this led to a time consuming exercise and missed counter check-in time. Terrible experience."
Kontra: "Flight was DELAYED twice. AK called it re-schedule, but with only 2 hours prior notification, it's purely DELAY. Poor coordination with airport, gate changed without proper notification."

I even push my mom in manila airport coz they said they dont have enough staff. My mom had a stroke and she walked all the way in kuala lumpur. What a lousy airline you have"

Kontra: "The leg room is deplorable. My knees were continuously hitting the hard seat in front of me and going sideways wasn't even an option. I've never had this happen to me before. I'm a female and 5'9 and this is the least space I've ever had on a flight. So uncomfortable I can't imagine a long flight with this airline, which is good to know because now I will not use them for flying to Malaysia from NYC. Also both flights were delayed by nearly an hour each."
Kontra: "Almost impossible to request wheel chair service for elderly even if we are willing to pay for it. Any add-ons or extra services come with unreasonably hefty (and hidden) price tag. I would absolutely avoid flying AirAsia at all cost in the future."

Kontra: "I was charged $84 at the airport to check my bag. I have not flown with Air Asia in years and I did not remember that I would not be able to check my bag for free, let alone have to pay $84. I was shocked and disgusted. Air Asia should make their baggage fees more visible and honest so when a customer books a flight, they can take those fees in to consideration. I will spread the word to others that Air Asia is dishonest and should be avoided at all costs."

Pro: "There is no tv and there is internet but no place to charge your phone or tablet, so in a 4 hrs flight the Internet service is useless cause in 1 hour the battery will just go down. I ordered the food and the chicken was cold. For boarding, they should call by row and not having everyone lining up. The crew was nice and the girl at check in very helpful."
Kontra: "They cancelled the flight on Thursday and did not send me the refund."
Kontra: "It wasn't that we had to buy allowances for luggage ahead of time. So we were checking in, we ended up paying a little over 2000 HKD (~$280 USD) just for luggage (50kg). Needless to say we were pretty pissed about it. As long you are careful though with this point, it is just any airline."
