Pro: "I have traveled to over 60 countries and I’m not prone to negative feedback but checking in a bag on Citilink in Phnom Penh was the most unhelpful customer service situation I’ve ever experienced. The Citilink website indicated one charge (which I had prepared for) for excess weight of luggage but the check-in counter charged more and only in US cash - so when I could not get my pin to work to get the additional cash, they sat back, grimaced at me, and told me they really didn’t care, I’d have to leave my bag, they couldn’t let me pay in IDR (rupiah) or pay in Jakarta, didn’t have credit card to let me charge, or pay pal, Venmo, or any other way to pay. The airport cashier wouldn’t exchange rupiah. Again, they didn’t care. One woman told me I could wire her the money into her personal bank account, though. The cashier just told them to bring my bags out and told me I should just take them back, whatever, call someone. If I left them, I asked how I would pay because they only take cash and in Phnom Penh, but they couldn’t answer. They couldn’t even lend me a bag to take things out of my bag. Luckily, I was wearing a scarf and used it be a makeshift bag for myself to unpack enough from my suitcase to bring the bag down to the amount of cash I had. I barely was able to board my flight. Of all these people, one of the ticket gentlemen was kind enough to walk me through to board the plane, apologizing for everyone."
Kontra: "Citilink is a budget airline and I get that they keep overhead down with charging people for luggage but they need to do 2 things; put the costs of their charges on their website for consistency and to support the customer experience, have at least one credit card option in an airport ticket booth. Help their employees be better than that kind of behavior. In this day and age, Paypal credit card app processing can even be done on a phone. There’s zero reason to not allow at least some flexibility with payment, even if it’s processed on their website."
Pro: "Citilink always does the best to smoothen the boarding process."
Kontra: "The departure hall was messy. If flights get delayed, there is not sufficient capacity."
Pro: "High commitment to be on time."
Kontra: "The machines for self-check in have been removed. That was previously very conventent. Citilink advertises with branded e-toll cards, but I can't get them anywhere."
Pro: "Professional, straightforward. Food and entertainment not rated. Not available for short trips. Food for additional payment, not tried. Prices seem reasonable."
Kontra: "Advertise with merchandise, which is not available."
Kontra: "Please warn the passengers who not obey the flight rules, such as turning on the mobile phones before the plane stop and so on."

Air Asia is a favourite of mine. Well run, good planes, great staff and great value.
Kontra: "I wish I was told my ticket did not include a meal upfront."
Kontra: "Seat pitch is low for anyone who is tall. Even though you pay extra money for rows 6-12 you end up boarding last."

Pro: "AirAsia is a crooked airline. We had to pay Singapore$120 to check in two pieces of cabin luggage at the airport because we HONESTLY declared they were over 7kg each. On board the aircraft most passengers had cabin luggage which most definitely exceeded 7kg. NEVER again AirAsia."
Kontra: "Stop overcharging for every f...g thing if not booked ahead. Add it all up a regular airline is cheaper. Dont abuse your network and schedule. You will never get be back to fly you."
Pro: "The airline was okay and pretty much on time. I think they are one of the safest to travel on in Indonesia after Garuda Indonesia."
Kontra: "Super old aircraft, it was very dirty including the seats and tray table. I didnt feel like touching it. There was no entertainment whatsoever."

I feel you should have known that changing airlines in Singapore requires a 3 hour layover as you must claim your baggage at the baggage claim, go through customs, change terminals, re-check your bag and then go through security again. All this being said we missed our flight and had to purchase new tickets! What are you going to do to make this up to us as it’s our honeymoon?"

I was purchasing food and gave Malaysian Ringgit, little that I know, the change is given in Rupiah and the amount was wrong, it was short of 55,000. Luckily I did a little math calculation my own, and find that she was over-charging too much for the food. Realizing that particular crew can't calculate, I offer to pay using Rupiah, she rejected it and gave me back the proper change. The exchange rate on board is absurd!!! I suggest use local currency if anyone would do onboard purchasing on AirAsia."

I had to google about the volcano once again causing delays & cancellations, although AirAsia takes a different route so this shouldn't have been a problem. Departure time comes & goes. finally we take off 35mins after schedule, the captain making some excuse of rescheduling, no mention of volcano. Rough flight, very bumpy take off and landing, probably the worst I've experienced including small military planes! I paid for a drink but never received my change with the crew member never looking at me once afterwards so I could never get his attention. Then there was the airport.....!"
Kontra: "AirAsia is a joke. first off there never on time. My plane left 2.5 hours late. on top of that they give you NO free anything. They charge for coke, water any drinks & snacks. Oh and your baggage has to be really light. I was charged $275 to check 2 bags. Absolutely absurd. Oh and to top that off, I've never been on a plane with smaller seats. AVOID THIS AIRLINE!!!"

When we went up to check in and hand over our luggage only to find out that one piece wasn't included in ticket price, something that hasn't been made clear. My friend (who was on crutches) and I then had to go back and wait in a different line to pay $45 each per backpack. None of this was explained to us and the girl at the front was too busy on her phone looking at Facebook to be helping people. when we finally got through the plane was small, no leg room and I'm only 5'2. Limited meal options which we were charged an extra 30% through a poor exchange rate for, still fairly convinced the staff pocketed that money as it didn't say anywhere that they were going to charge that amount extra. No complimentary drink, not even water. Won't fly air Asia again. Cheap and you get what you pay for, but after that baggage charge there were definitely cheaper, better options out there."

Upon arrival air Asia charged us $45 US dollars per bag for failing to purchase online and surpassing the 4 hour time limit. We feel that this is a terrible policy. They would not wave the extraordinary baggage fees. Terrible policy!"

Afterwards I constructed that the bagage was simply not loaded on the place, because there was no space. So it was left intentionally and not lost. No one told us. They never admitted this to us, let alone compensation for wasting our time on the airport waiting."

We were given the run around trying to sort things out ourself. The "refreshments" were absolutely horrible considering that we were delayed 8 hours over the course of two flights. When we got on the plane the seat pockets were so disgusting that I couldn't put anything inside them. The inflight drink and snacks were pitiful. Won't be flying Lion Air ever again."
