They are really improving

They were telling us about the entertainment and when we took off they switched it off

The cabin crew were the only bright spot on the whole flight. I give them credit for putting up with the rest of the crew and being helpful with all of my problems.

Where to begin? First the flight was delayed by two hours, then I was put in a seat with a broken entertainment screen again (second time this has happened to me in two flights), asked to be moved to another seat that turned out to also have a broken screen but at least had more legroom. After landing the ground crew took nearly an hour to get bags off of the plane, thus ensuring that the delayed takeoff caused me to miss my connection. I was given no compensation or even an apology for the delays or the broken entertainment on the aircraft, just a typical Saudi grudging attitude about doing their jobs. Do not under any circumstances fly Saudia. I will happily pay double in the future to avoid them.

Delayed departure, grumpy cabin crew staff. Asking for water on the flight obviously is an irritating matter for the cabin crew! Fake smiles are not welcomed. If their unhappy with their work they should leave!

The trend to offer more comfort in Economy Plus and similar leads, of course to less comfort in normal Economy class. The ticket price was certainly attractive but it is doubtful that it was good value. Economy Plus might not be good value either.

Barely enough legspace. Some seats recline more than others, if you're sitting behind one of those you're out of luck.

Food was very good. Good variety and plenty of vegetables. Staff very courteous.

Restroom was Healy used. Should have been monitored more closely. Was not clean enough when I used had to clean myself before I could use. But I used to be a health inspector so maybe my standards are to high.

Food was good. and more leg room. Also gave you a pillow and blanket. Of course the flight to China was a much larger airplane a Boeing 747, where flight to Sfo was a 737-800 and a smaller Air bus. All my flights made it to destination on time. Or close to it. You should plan on at least 1&1/2 hours between transfers. SFO was under staffed at security long lines, and empty desks. Beijing & Soul airports had smaller lines. The Visa free transit at Beijing worked well.

Long time through customs and security especially when transferring from one plane to another. We had carry on luggage but still had to go through baggage claim and exit before transferring to the next flight.

the flight was 30 minutes late, which caused me to miss my connection AMS-LDN, where my cousin was waiting to take me on to my Auntys Funeral at 10.30. MU head flight attendant said at first the flight was NOT late, even though we were scheduled to depart at 1245 we waited on tarmac until 1.15 and arrived AMS at 7.10 instead of 6.35.When I pointed out this lie she said "not our problem, speak to KLM lady on ground" ...I did ..and am now waiting for a flight at 13.20 TO A DIFFERENT AIRPORT IN LONDON, and 3 hrs AFTER my aunt's funeral.MU..the worst thing is I have them on my return flight to Japan.I am thinking if forfeiting that leg and booking with and airline that cares about their customers, instead of just taking your money.MU never again. Let them treat their own citizens with contempt.

I was lucky enough to travel on the 777-300 new config business. Pyjamas to boot, never had those in biz class before. Hats off to China Eastern, exceeded my expectations and beat the competition. Gutted my flight is with Lufthansa from Shanghai to Frankfurt. Will definitely be looking to fly with them again. Can't comment on economy as didn't get chance to look around.

We departed on time, and boarding after we returned back to the airport the 2nd time was efficient.

The flight had to turn around halfway back - due to "mechanical issues". Arrived home 4 hours late. English language ability of the crew is appalling. They generally don't speak any other than what is in their crew manual...

Despite the late arrival of the inbound aircraft, the bus boarding was efficient and we were ready to go fairly swiftly. The seats were quite comfortable for a short flight, it was a visibility newish B737-800 aircraft. The food was bland and flavourless, but they did serve fruit and Haagen Dazs

Again the food was basic apart from the ice cream. The entertainment came in the form of pop down screens that just played a Chinese drama. The single most frustrating thing about flying any Chinese airline though is the blanket ban on all mobile phones during the flight, even in flight mode. A imbisilic and embarrassingly outdated rule that is clearly one of the many achievements of the CCP. Wake up and join the rest of the world!

The journey was smooth, the seat was comfortable enough. Food was decent.

I took 2 connecting flights back home, both flights were delayed by 2h and 1.5h respectively. No estimated new departure time was given, and the staff took very long (well after the supposed departure time) before they made an announcement for us to apologise for the delay. Service was mediocre. Half the time the crew was no where in sight, so it was difficult to ask them for something. When pressing the bell for service, they also took very long to respond. Once, when i had asked a steward for water, he was busy and told me to go to the back of the airplane to get it myself.

Once staff were aware that my child was sick one staff member in particular regularly checked on the well being of my child.

Crew only helpful when pushed to help. My child was sick and the cabin crew tried to give me food. I said that my child had just vomited but there was no offer to help me clear it up they just continued serving food to other passengers. I had to search for someone to help me to clear up and then I felt as though I was an inconvenience. I then had to look for someone to bring food for myself and other child. My other child is 1yr and 11 months and I was told they were only allowed baby food not a child meal. Although there were a few spare seats on the plane I was squashed into a full row with a 3 yr old and one year old on my lap. I appreciate that there may not have been any bassinet seats left but would have been helpful not to be on a full row as a single adult travelling with two small children. No offers for assistance with bags.

Flight from Qatar to Seoul was quite old I believe. USB on my chair did not work and media in LCD screens were not new enough. seats were quite old and not convenient for 10 hours flight.

Attentive crew (Busines cabin was near empty). Highlights the deficit caused by large occupancy A380 Business cabin. A380 business cabin has been economy classed to within an inch of its life, too few crew and those that are on duty disorganised and stressed. 777 crew ratio was 3 crew to 1 pax :)

Engine noise. Boarding in Dubai was a farce as called to gate even though aircraft was severely delayed inbound. Surly lounge staff didn’t help. Business Class gate desk ‘closed’ even though staffed as person was busy on the phone. Weird 2 - 3 - 2 layout means window and centre seats have to clamber over reclined neighbours. Seat width better than A380 and also less tomb like when reclined to nearly flat bed.

Now, they won't give you a choice for the meal. The movie selection has been stagnant for three months. Boarding in Soekarno Hatta is based on first come first based basis, not based on class/membership/row number.

Late taking off. Sat 30 minutes at Beijing airport waiting to park, then waited 15 minutes for a bus transfer to the terminal build. Only one bus so deplaned at the speed of the slowest passenger. 10 min bus journey to the terminal building. Missed my flight to the UK. I recommend you use an airline that pays for an air bridge and can coordinate the ground staff to be ready for the planes arrival!

The fact that I was not able to get on my flight because I didn't have a visa after I called the airline over a week before my flight to ask about it and they told me I didn't need one. They told me I would get a temporary 72 visa upon arrival in Fuzhou but when I went to check in this was not the case. Now they won't give me any money back for that flight or the one I had to buy to get home. It was their fault I was not on the flight and they won't own up to it. I will never fly with them and I will do my best to let others know that they shouldn't either

Getting off the flight.

More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines.

Food wasn't too bad, stewards were pleasant but had to wait ages for water. Like the 2 4 2 layout so we didn't have to disturb anyone for "comfort" breaks.

Checking in, a few kg overweight, they made us put the excess into our hand baggage, it meant opening our 4 cases, actually moving things which weighs less than half a kg, complete waste of time, over half an hour. Complete waste of time as it's on the same plane FFS. Entertainment via iPads, poor selection of films.

Two hours on the deck at Astana waiting take off in steaming humidity and not a word from the staff. They looked blankly at me when I asked to know what was going on. And then they told a bald faced lie. They failed in the service of a pre-ordered mea. in general a pathetic excuse for an airline.

Cathay Pacific forgot to send paperwork for departure which resulted in 1 hour delay and then given us furthest possible gate on arrival in HK

I really appreciated that Cathay flew another plane in to pick us up when our original aircraft was mechanically grounded at the previous destination. The crew were very professional.

Our flight was delayed due to mechanical failure and didn't arrive from its destination: Taipei. We were not told about the possibility of our flight being cancelled as we arrived at check-in, we were allowed to check our bags first, issued boarding passes and *then* we were told to come back to check in counter in 3.5-4 hours. Our checked luggage had already been taken and with it, clean clothes, toiletries and other items that could have made the waiting more comfortable. After coffee and a snack we decided to check in to the capsule hotel at Narita. Minimum stay was one night at that hour of the day - for stays after 6pm. While I appreciated that Cathay got us out later that evening, the plane we flew was one of the oldest in the fleet: the seats did not recline at all so it was very uncomfortable. It was a late night flight but no one was offered pillows or blankets. (I did receive one upon request). We arrived in Hong Kong in the early hours of the next morning - 3 hours late - after the airport train had finished running so I paid for a taxi home which I normally would not need to do since I already had a train ticket. so my flight experience did cost me some extra money this trip.

Usual Cathay high standards - which is what one expects.

Older A330 for short haul so not lie flat seats. Older IFE. Food, oddly, not great today (unusual for Cathay).

staff were friendly.

my flight was cancelled without letting me know the reason, although they offered me another flight (two hours later) but still clear reason should be mentioned. also seat was broken.

Delayed departure, grumpy cabin crew staff. Asking for water on the flight obviously is an irritating matter for the cabin crew! Fake smiles are not welcomed. If their unhappy with their work they should leave!

Crew were extremely helpful and kind. Very responsible and polite.

LCD was not touch screen and was extremely difficult to work with . I couldn't scape from an accidental menu which I was dropped in games and missed whole flight to enjoy something in LCD .
